Let it never be said I don't love you, Brady.
I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() John Mayer just asked me, personally, through an assistant, to sing backup on his new CD. |
Bob really needs some more at-will spells. Casting Ray or Frost all the time is becoming rather cliche. I suppose he could always shoot arrows more but he is a mage...
How ya doing, buddy? ![]() ![]() |
Well, since I did offer knk the opportunity to switch an at-will I guess it'd be only fair to extend that to everyone else (excepting Deni, who picked his own in the first place). You've used Cloud of Daggers maybe three times, so if you want to switch that for something else:
Illusory Ambush Wizard Attack 1 You create an illusion of swirling spectral assailants that swarm over your enemy. At-Will ✦ Arcane, Illusion, Implement, Psychic Standard Action - Ranged 10 Target: One creature Attack: Intelligence vs. Will Hit: 1d6 + Intelligence modifier psychic damage, and the target takes a –2 penalty to attack rolls until the end of your next turn. Magic Missile Wizard Attack 1 You launch a silvery bolt of force at an enemy. At-Will ✦ Arcane, Force, Implement Standard Action - Ranged 20 Target: One creature Attack: Intelligence vs. Reflex Hit: 2d4 + Intelligence modifier force damage. Special: This power counts as a ranged basic attack. When a power allows you to make a ranged basic attack, you can use this power. Scorching Burst Wizard Attack 1 A vertical column of golden flames burns all within. At-Will ✦ Arcane, Fire, Implement Standard Action - Area burst 1 within 10 squares Target: Each creature in burst Attack: Intelligence vs. Reflex Hit: 1d6 + Intelligence modifier fire damage. Thunderwave Wizard Attack 1 You create a whip-crack of sonic power that lashes up from the ground. At-Will ✦ Arcane, Implement, Thunder Standard Action - Close blast 3 Target: Each creature in blast Attack: Intelligence vs. Fortitude Hit: 1d6 + Intelligence modifier thunder damage, and you push the target a number of squares equal to your Wisdom modifier. (of course, if you take this it makes your wand redundant, but meh.) FELIPE NO |
The wand's thunderwave is a daily power though and Bob still gets bonuses to attack and damage with it (Although I just noticed he gets that with the staff too, doh). Cloud of daggers would be more useful if the rest of the party were open to more running away tactics perhaps but as it is, I think I'll swap it for Scorching Burst. How big an area does that cover when you cast it? Is it a 3x3 square or a 3 wide cross? Tempting though Magic Missile is, given the thread title, I think an area spell would be more useful in the long run, assuming Bob has a long run...

Wait, I completely missed the offer to switch an at-will. I'd definitely drop Wolf-Pack Tactics for something more handy.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Shin, here's your new reference card:
There aren't as many options for Warlords yet, but this is what's available: Commander’s Strike Warlord Attack 1 With a shout, you command an ally to attack. At-Will ✦ Martial, Weapon Standard Action Melee weapon Target: One creature Attack: An ally of your choice makes a melee basic attack against the target Hit: Ally’s basic attack damage + your Intelligence modifier. Furious Smash Warlord Attack 1 You slam your shield into your enemy, bash him with your weapon’s haft, or drive your shoulder into his gut. Your attack doesn’t do much damage — but your anger inspires your ally to match your ferocity. At-Will ✦ Martial, Weapon Standard Action Melee weapon Target: One creature Attack: Strength vs. Fortitude Hit: Deal damage equal to your Strength modifier, and then choose one ally adjacent to either you or the target. This ally applies your Charisma modifier as a power bonus to the attack roll and the damage roll on his or her next attack against the target. If the ally does not attack the target by the end of his or her next turn, the bonus is lost. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Pang, is an area burst one thingy like this:
* * * * * * * * * Or like this: _ * _ * * * _ * _ just so I don't accidentally blow anyone up. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() ![]() |
Commander's Strike, please and thank you.
How ya doing, buddy? |
![]() Just keep in mind that since it's a melee weapon attack, both you and the ally have to be in melee range of whatever you're attacking.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
I'm losing the roof over my head...which usually goes along with the internet connection.
Um, needless to say, I'll be unreliable to post. I suppose somebody can either take over my character until there's an oppurtunity to momentarily retire, or you can kill him off. =\ What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
Good luck, Zeph. I'll txt you from time to time to find out if you're still alive.
![]() FELIPE NO ![]() John Mayer just asked me, personally, through an assistant, to sing backup on his new CD. |
Well, shit.
I'll take back Fescue until the end of the current fight, and if that doesn't kill him I guess I'll retire him some other way. All the best in dealing with your clusterfuck. See you when you're sorted. ![]() EDIT: Just in case it merges my doublepost, Brady's up. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

It'd be a shame to lose a character quite close to his next level up.
This post hereby signifies my interest to taking over Zeph's character while he takes care of things ![]() Given that folks like Animechanic, Acerbandit, and a lurker have prior dibs (and their own characters), I'm not gonna be bummed if you give them priority. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yeah, I don't mind a character switching hands temporarily, but Zeph's situation is likely to take more than a few days to resolve and just juggling a PC from one player to the next is unfair to people in the queue.
I am sure there will further opportunities for emergency pilots in the future, though. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Fescue cameos would be awesome.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() ![]() |
That sucks hardcore, Zeph. Hope to hear from you soon with better news.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
![]() I was speaking idiomatically. |
WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY EXACTLY
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
*is forever silent*
FELIPE NO |
Seriously Brady, is there some kind of problem? You're being all passive-aggressive and it makes Pang a sad Pang.
If something's wrong with the game, say so. You don't have to play if you don't want to. ![]() What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I wished I had saved my favorite of that ad bunch. "WHICH FEMALE NARUTO ARE YOU?" and then it has a few female Naruto characters around the text. So I'm to assume that all of those are female forms of Naruto? ... Yeah, well I laughed.

Can I request that the next magic item we come across be Glasses of +3 being able to actually, you know, hit stuff once in a while for Gabe. He's scored fewer hits than Vanilla Ice so far.
There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() ![]() |
Lies. He's at least as good as turtle rap and ice ice baby.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() John Mayer just asked me, personally, through an assistant, to sing backup on his new CD. |
Just a heads-up: I've been running initiative like an idiot.
As it turns out I'm only supposed to roll initiative once per encounter, and then everyone just cycles in that order until the end of the combat. Therefore, when you delay from now on please indicate whose turn will be the last one you delay for (and you'll know, because turn order will become predictable). I'll still give you the initiative sequence in each update just so you don't have to check back to the beginning of the fight constantly. So if the initiative is Gabe, Bob, Fescue, Argumentus, Soggy, Enemies the initiative at the end of Gabe's turn will be Bob, Fes, Arg, Sog, Enemy, Gabe And at the end of Bob's turn it'll be Fes, Arg, Sog, Enemy, Gabe, Bob and so on. After Bob's turn, let's say Fescue chooses to delay until after Gabe's next move. The initiative would then be Arg, Sog, Enemy, Gabe, Fescue, Bob and will remain that way until the end of combat; if you delay, you permanently give up your position in initiative for the new one. This should allow you to engage in more tactical decisions and better plan ahead. I absolutely apologize for the fuckup. For the rest of the current fight I'll just use the order sequence I rolled most recently. In other news I'm sure you all realize that you'll be leveling up after this fight (except of course Fescue), so do have in mind what you're looking to gain. Anyone who objects to the new character being slotted in already at Level 2, speak up. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
FUCK NEWBIES!!!!!!!
haha just kidding <=) Additional Spam:
