I like the soundtrack, the song that really shines through to me is "The Kraken". Gotta love that organ.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Sian and I have a connection now. I love "The Kraken" track, the organs and the "chanting" on the song is awesome. Wicked I must say mate, wicked.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The organ is great. I also liked Davy Jones (where the organ reared it's head again), because of the shift between the eerie merry go round music in the beginning and the rather dark music for the rest of the track.

The organ scene (scene only, mind...I liked the organ music itself) pissed the hell out of me. It was just out of the blue, served no real purpose (other than making a passing reference to Captain Nemo from 20000 Leagues Under the Sea), and was plain lame in the context of the story. I mean, it was a nifty idea, but the execution made it come across as silly. It should have been a 'deleted scene' for the DVD.

This time around I really liked the bare string versions of the two main themes that cropped up from time to time. Overall, I enjoy the soundtrack, but I'm a bit bored of it since I played it for about a year in youth symphony; we played it overseas, so we had to practice the hell out of it.

I was speaking idiomatically.

In my opinion, Trance could have done a much better job at this remix if they'd have tried. The recording was scratchy, and i could hardly tell that it was "He's a Pirate".

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I have listened to that remix 10 times and I still can't get to hear "He's a pirate" in that thing...

But, I have to say this soundtrack is better than the first in my opinion. Zimmer added some musical twists to the themes created by Badelt, which made them better. I'm not saying Badelt did a poor job, it's just that Zimmer really boosted the melodies in what Badelt wrote. Although, I can't deny that Zimmer always uses this "zimmer" style that surprisingly he didn't use in Batman BEgins and in Da Vinci Code.

Jack Sparrow theme is by far my favorite track on thsi soundtrack.
