Oh I do play games in a daily basis. It's called life.
DOHOHOHOHO!! Anyways, I've been playing games since the time I laid hands on an Atari 2600. Then came the Famicom, SNES, Genesis, Saturn, and reached it's peak during the PS1 and PS2 era. I consider myself a casual gamer, I've played quite a few games, but not that much. And I tend to jump from one game to another, causing a lot of unfinished games that will take me months (or years) to finish. But one sure thing is that I play a game or two almost everyday, one way or another. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I would consider myself more of a hardcore gamer now then what I ever was during all the years I've been playing video games. I'm currently playing more video games since I had to move away to work, they help me keep my sanity while I'm working away from home, but I also feel like they don't have to play a very important part in my life in order for me to survive.
When I do come home every few months video games take a backseat to the other things that are important in my life. I like the fact that I'm in the process to attaining a comfortable position in my life, and I want to use that opportunity to get games specifically rpg's for older systems that I haven't had a chance to play. As much as I am ashamed to admit this. I've never played Earthbound and as easy as it would be for me to play it on an emulator, I would rather own the game and play it how it was meant to be played. Denicalis has also mentioned a lot of quality rpg's for the Sega CD and the Sega Saturn as well, and I would feel pretty bad to call myself an rpg gamer but never allowed myself to play any of those games. I'm always going to be a collector, that aspect of my gaming hobby will never change, and I just feel lucky enough I have someone great to share this hobboy of mine with. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
I played them a LOT until ironically maybe just before I came here. THen I played them occasionally but due to lack of interest/time constraints, I didn't play them much at all. However, as of late I tend to play them a lot and usually use this site to get ideas/suggestions on what games (and consoles) to get.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Still very much a gamer. I play them pretty much everyday, it does vary from time to time, though. There's periods where I play MMO's all day, then it's console gaming time, and like now, i'm only playing a handful of games, between doing some other things.
As much as I hate to admit it, I feel less determined to start a new game, after I finish a previous one. I mean I remember 5 years ago or so, when I could easily end up playing like 7 games in a row within like a month, and I still would go on. These days I end up playing 1 or 2 games a month, mostly because I usually delay playing another one so soon. I guess it comes with getting older...but I don't think I'll ever give them up. While I do become lazy these days with starting new games, I still very much enjoy them once I actually start playing them. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() Soldier: Prepare yourself, rebel scum!! Arngrim : (These slipshod soldiers think they can call me "rebel scum"?) |
At the moment I'd say 'daily' is a fair description of how I play at least a little bit of something. I've been an avid gamer since I was little and that's not changed in the last 20 years, and I can't see it changing any time soon. A bit like Meia I go through phases of level of activity, but I can't think of any point where I went for masses of time without playing something.
But like a lot of people I don't necessarily come here for the gaming discussion. It was the thing that brought me to the place (sort of, gaming audio to be fair), but I've stayed because of the people and all the other discussions that take place. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
FELIPE NO |
I play "sometimes" I don't really have much time as I did when I was back in elementary school and junior high. I have to worry about my job, and social life rather than play video games.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
It feels kind of sad to admit it, but most of the things I do nowadays is nothing else but listen to music, watch anime, lurk around on the net and play videogames, at least in my free time. How much I spend each day on each of them depends, but I'd say it counts up to a minimal of 2 hours of gaming per day for the most part.
Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
Since at this point I'm too lazy to read this thread, apologies if this joke has already been made. Here we go anyway:
you left off the "just here to download the FF7 OST, can somebody tell me where it is?" option. I love making this joke every time this thread appears. There's nowhere I can't reach. I <3 Cheryl.
