Lots of cube games coming out of nowhere. I was really hoping Kirby was still there. Oh and I really wish they had done a six face button Sega Genesis setup so you could use C buttons correctly for N64 games. Believe it or not some N64 games did use those buttons as buttons and not just camera controls. Also that setup would make playing Genesis games a breeze. I hope it isn't final. Also how is that connected to the Wii? Is it an attachment still or does it connect to the cube ports? Most amazing jew boots |

AT LAST, it's about time Nintendo puts out a standard looking controller. I always disliked the childish N64 and GC ones.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
For those of us that missed the conference (grrr History class), does anyone know of a site that had text-updates or highlights of the show? Picking up bits and pieces by looking back at this thread is helpful and all but a little bit chaotic.

It's all there in text. Hopefully someone will have the video up in high quality sometime. I want it. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
A few things are unclear: 1) They didn't anounce an actual release date and price?:eyebrow: 2) So is the wiimote's speaker suppose to be "the last big secret"? 3) Nothing of Super Smash Brothers Wii was shown? I was also hoping that they would comment on PS3's controler's last-second, motion-sensing inclusion. O well. It seems like the conference still didn't answer my main questions, but I'm still hyped. But the speaker feature was known a week before the conference (Gamefront.de). If that was the big secret why would Nintendo let it leak so early? Remember the time before the TGS when the controller was unveiled? No concrete rumours about the controller functionality existed, it was all just speculation. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Technophile:
1) They haven't announced a release date or a price but you can be sure it will be Fall 2006 and cheaper than Microsoft and Sony's offerings. Most speculate anywhere from $150 to $300. I'm hoping for that $200 sweet spot they always do. 2) I don't know if it's the last secret or not. There still might be a microphone and of course there are other attachments that might surface. And of course all the concrete details of the system interface and the virtual console's system and pricing. There's still a lot to know. 3) No Smash Bros yet. Sakurai was only informed of the game last E3 when it was first announced. He then had a private meeting with Iwata and then after agreeing to head up the game was given his own new studio so he probably just didn't have it ready. You'll see it eventually. You don't rush Sakurai. The man is a perfectionist. I don't expect it at launch and since the launch window is looking like the strongest console launch of any console ever I don't really care. I'd rather have a perfect Sakurai game that comes a couple months after launch like Melee than a rush job launch title. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

Anyway..., did they show any pictures or a video of that Wii sports title that has tennis, baseball and golf in one? I'm curious if it's gonna be more like a sports sim or take on a lighter tone. Oh and Acer, it's odd that they haven't actualy anounced the specific release date and price yet, but I suppose there's still time. And yes, the launch line-up is indeed looking great with or without SSB:Wii. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]()

Does anyone know if Super Mario Galaxy will be a launch title or not?
While we're on the subject, does anyone know for certain what games are launch titles? FELIPE NO ![]() |
![]() -EDIT- During E3, do they usualy reveal answers to big questions (ones listed in previous posts) that haven't been answered during the conference, in the remaining days of the Expo? Or do these tidbits remain unanswered untill TGS? What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]()

Meh, this sucks. I've just seen the video of the Wii games and I am not interested in any of the titles shown. It's very likely just me, but I don't like the idea of doing motions with my arms to play a game. Give me plain ol' buttons and crap any day. Things are looking better on the other consoles, however.
Although I love Star Fox, I think Fox's design has been steadily getting worse in every new game. The way he looks in SF DS is just 'ugh.' However, it looks like it's going back to its shooting roots, so that's something I'm definitely on the look out for. Super Paper Mario looks frickin' sweet, especially after drooling over the New SMB. Mario was always best in 2D land, and I'm very pleased Nintendo is actually making 2D games on a console. I am seriously stoked that you can PLAY AS BOWSER. That alone is worth a purchase. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]()

Yeah, they do reveal a few tidbits or hints in Q&A sessions. And they've revealed things that weren't in the conference related to Wii already so I think they'll be a bit more open than at least E3 '05.
I'm not sure what games will be launch titles but Super Mario Galaxy seems like it should be. Miyamoto and co. have to have been working on this for a long ass time. Hey, it's okay if it's not at launch but I expect the game to be out in the launch window or at the latest early '07. I've heard there will be around 27 launch titles and a third of them will be from Nintendo if that gives you an idea of how great this is going to be. And yeah, I do enjoy how the PS3 controller is just plain ol' Dual Shock 2 but wireless and for tilt control they axed rumble while the Wii controller has 3d space motion sensing, titling, rumble, and sound all while being wireless. I'm wondering if the Wii controller will be rechargable/dockable, or if it'll run on store-bought batteries...

I like how Sonic Wildfire was totally ignored by IGN.
Not that it's a good game compared to Sonic the Hedgehog. And I'm hoping we at least see a trailer of Smash at this point. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |

A NEW BONGO GAME!! DK Bongo Blast! AND IT'S A RACING GAME! How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |

![]() No dude, I don't belive a controller or any device for that matter can do all that and have a long battery life. They are hiding something, what they are saying is just plain impossible... unless they start selling a Official Nintendo ColdFusion™ Battery What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

It's exciting if you've ever played DK Jungle Beat, which I assume you haven't.
The bongos are an extremely fun way to play games, believe it or not. I can see them working seamlessly in a racing game. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Pretty sweet stuff.
I'm a bit worried. I always thought the best part of Starfox games was the rail-type levels and not the all range levels. From what I've seen, it looks to be only the latter, though I could easily be wrong. Can anyone confirm rail-type stages in Starfox DS? Yoshi's Island 2. Wow, didn't see this coming at ALL. Is it possible to get drunk off hype? Fantastic. DIDDY KONG RACING. OMFG. That game was my favorite N64 game bar none. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]()
