Nintendo Press Conference (discussion and live stream)
 

Alright the big event we've waited 2 years for is finally here. Nintendo will be unleashing the big guns and hopefully it'll deliver that revolution it promised with Wii. I do hope we'll all be saying "wow" and I do hope Reggie makes some comments on Sony's conference (in case he doesn't please click here). Don't forget we also have Zelda and the DS and any other surprises to look forward to.

So here's what's going to happen. 9:30 AM PST and 12:30 EST you can tune in for free to Gamespot's live feed which will undoubtedly be a little behind schedule but be ready to watch it then just in case it is on time.

Again just like last time, be warned that if you fag this thread up like the former Revolution threads then you will be banned from this thread and perhaps for a week or two from Mario's Warp Room or all of the gaming forums. I will stomp out any childish behavior just like I did in the PS3 Press Conference thread. So basically behave in this thread or else.

This is the Nintendo Press Conference thread for discussion of all things related and/or occurring in said conference. The main focus will of course be Wii but discussion of any surprises or DS or Zelda or anything else covered are fair game in here too. I may close this thread and open a purely Nintendo Wii (or just Wii - I forget if it's officially just called Wii) thread a day or so after the conference is over. It too will have the same rules as this one. Anything unrelated either has a thread already (DS and Zelda) or will be created if it doesn't fall into either and has enough concrete details.

Actually, I've never played the game, but what better way to introduce him to me by giving the guy a "New" generation facelift!

I'll be watching it live, barely. I'll have to juggle work as I watch. Kinna wish it wasn't so early but I'm selfish and cranky. (lol @ getting up at 6am to be up for this ; ; )

I just hope Nintendo doesn't let people down. Things look good so far. Please dont screw it up.

I didn't even know this was going on today, but I figure if I'm home sick doing nothing I might as well. It's pretty much a defining moment for Nintendo, because a sloppy presentation right after the PS3's could, well.

As far as I know, the conference takes place at 9 PM where I'm living, so sure I'm watching it. (I saw it last year, and that made me laugh.)
Anyways, it'll be interesting to see what they can pull off. If oly they are hiding Reggie a bit like last year.

Nintendo has taken such a huge risk with Wii that they really can not mess up either today or when Wii is finally released.

If they do, then 5 years from now I'm really going to enjoy playing Mario games on the PS3 much like I enjoy playing Sega games on the Gamecube.

I'm here too. Damn, I'm so eager to see what Nintendo has to offer. I want to see the Zelda for Wii game they are talking about (not Twilight Princess with Wii compatibility, but a brand new Zelda for Wii) and some DS titles. Also, I believe there is a "surprise" they have yet to reveal... so yeah, I'm expecting a pretty interesting conference. :)

Seriously, screw this being unbiased gamer thing. If Nintendo steal the show and then dominate the market by the end of next year then I'll go fanboy (like back in the SNES days).

maybe it's that the nunchuck has tilt sensitivity.

ign seems pretty set that the nunchuck DOES have tilt but i don't know if that's the secret.

Does the Wiimote even NEED tilt?

I thought the gyroscopic technology dealt with that.

I'm here as well, and although I'm seriously pumped for this, Sony's craptastic showing has given me not only hope for Wii, but also a fear that they might fuck up just as badly. Either way, should be interesting.
