I'm looking for...
Hi guys. I am looking forward to watch more anime than I do. Actually I loved Rurouni Kenshin, Hajime no Ippo, Naruto, Bleach and The Law of Ueki.
But now, I wish I could get some "darker" animes. I would like to find some animes with some kind of Horror in it, violence, or of course, something related to Vampires and stuff like that. It is not that I didn't like the others animes, but I am looking for something who could be ... less "happy" if you know what I mean. So I am asking to you Anime-Fans, what series should I get? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Hellsing comes to mind since you mentioned darker anime with vampires. It has 13 episodes and an OVA, so you might want to try that. Others are Gunslinger Girl for its serious and violent nature, and Jigoku Shoujo for also being serious with slight moments of "horror."
There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
For anime and manga both, I recommend Berserk. Very dark and has heavy horror-tones beyond a point. Focuses on medieval swordplay-like fighting. The main character is a badass who uses a huge sword =o The anime is a nice sampler. If you enjoy that, read the manga, which is 10x better, at least.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.

Well, if you're looking for a dark series with a lot of drama revolving around, I highly recommend Monster. The storyline is one of the best out there and there's plenty of action to go around with regards to the protagonist and the person he's chasing after.
Gankutsuou is also fairly action-heavy although the animation in that series is something to marvel at. If you're a fan of Dumas's Count of Monte Cristo, this series is right up your alley as it takes in a lot of the novel's plot and brings in a lot of intrigue. Finally, I am fond of Shingetsutan Tsukihime as a vampire series. It focuses quite a bit on the characters, but there's a lot of secrets that'll be revealed and combat as the main characters square off against the main antagonist. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Sounds good to me guys!
Thanks to ya! Ima check for those anime ![]() I was speaking idiomatically. |
Fullmetal Alchemist, Monster, Hunter X Hunter
Hunter X Hunter is mostly dark. It comes off at the start a bit lighthearted but it has nice changes. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
