BIOS Flashable X1900XT??

Well, the title pretty much says it all. I was wondering if I was to buy a X1900XT if it is flashable to an X1900XTX. I could save myself a good $100 or so as far as the cost is concerned. If not, I suppose I could just overclock it if that is possible.

Has anybody flashed this card or successfully flashed it to a X1900XT, or know if it can be done?

Thanks .

From what I've heard on the review sites, there isn't much difference between the two cards. The XTX just has a slightly faster clock and ram speed than the XT (25MHz more on the GPU and 50MHz more on ram.) If you're just a casual gamer I doubt you see much of a difference with the 6 to 10% increase in performance.

At best you can just buy the XT and overclock it to XTX's speed. I don't know about reflashing it though.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well, I'm pretty much a hardcore gamer, lol. I'll probably just clock it up. At any rate, I'm not hardcore enough to be so insane as to spend more than $100 just for a 6-10% performance boost, assuming I can't get it that fast.

Thanks .

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The X1900XTX has quite a few more pixel shaders than the XT if I remember correctly, so it might be an actual physical difference.

I'm reading the spec sheet right now and the X1900XTX has the same amount of pixel shaders than the X1900XT =p. Though, the X1800XT card does have less pixel shaders than the X1900XT set (4 pixel shaders compared to X1900XT's 12 pixel shaders.)

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
