So is the end of time, my friend. But people discuss that.

Well, to be honest, that's going to happen with me too. Either way, the game will at the very least be OKAY. I don't know what is going on with NIBRIS but apparently April is when they're releasing a video (IIRC) and other media for Sadness. So, it's not THAT far away. I think mainly they're still just shopping/browsing for a publisher.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

New Details

Something about the storyline apparently...

“...In my head there is a voice, different from the others. Whenever it answers it overwhelms the remaining voices, it mixes up thoughts and destroys peace. It tells me that I'm only mixed up in a thought which yearns to prove its own existence. The voice which whispers that I'm not really who I am and the perceived reality is only an abstraction created by my own mind. It is the original voice, which wants to free itself from my head, to free itself from the logic and reason it is being stifled by. The voice of animal endurance at all costs, which forces onto unimaginable things. It is the voice of chaos which is now screaming frightfully in my head for me to take an axe resting against the wall and cut off my father's head.”

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Wow. This reminds me of Condemned, but..even better.

And, I've never heard of NIBRIS before. Why, I don't know. I can't remember hearing that name, ever..

How ya doing, buddy?

Apparently they're a new company, relatively small, and located in Polackiland. I never heard of them before Raid over the River or Sadness.

Sounds like a freaking excellent game, or at least has the potential to be. A definite buy, if it lives up to what it's promising.
The artwork looks very nice. The only reason NIBRIS (a new company in Poland, yes) has any hope, in my eyes. At the very least, the art they've released looks excellent.
(the art can be found on revolutionreport.com)

AND HOLY CRAP

Just saw on revolutionreport that NIBRIS intends to make the game in black and white. Which sounds awesome to me.
They distinctly said it wouldn't resemble the likes of Sin City, but I don't know why they felt they needed to point that out. When I think black and white, I think old silent films, not stylistic comicbook movies.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

The concept art looks nice...and I can see how the intention to make the game entirely in black and white would fit with the period and such. This game definitely sounds like it could be a good horror game. I can't wait until the end of this month, that's supposedly when some screens of Sadness should be out.

I think they wanted to say it would be a pure black and white game and not any little bits of color here and there like Sin City. Sin City is the closest we've had to a black and white film recently so that might be screwing with some people's definition of a black and white film. They didn't have to point it out but hey specifics are nice.

http://www.nibris.net/

I can see why they're revamping it. They seem to have about as many resources as a low-end mod team. They have a few ideas, some concept art...and that's it. I just don't understand why their games are getting so much hype, let alone being called awesome and better than other games, when there isn't really anything to show for them. It would make more sense to focus our attention on REAL projects that actually have work done on them. The fact that they don't have a publisher and were turned down by Nintendo is a bit concerning as well.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

What do you mean no work done? This is being developed, it's not just concept art and an idea. I am quite sure we will be hearing from them at e3.

"It would make more sense to focus our attention on REAL projects that actually have work done on them."

Like what? The only game we have any info on is Red Steel. We might as well get excited over nothing until E3 comes.
And Raid Over the River and Sadness are both being developed, as far as I can tell. Even if they're not being developed yet, NIBRIS seems pretty serious about it, and word is getting out (quite well). They don't have a publisher yet, but they'll have something to show before too long, I have no doubts.

Also, check revolutionreport.com. NIBRIS is revamping their website, and the redesign looks incredibly good.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Reminds me of the launch title "Eternal Darkness" for GC: same type of game...

Eh, I don't ever remember them saying Eternal Darkness would be a launch title for cube, dude. It was originally supposed to be for N64 but then got moved to the cube. Way too much work involved for it to make launch especially for that perfectionist of a team.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Maybe the site revamp will have actual screenies at such, since it appears some games are now showable like Red Steel.
Either way the road to E3 is getting exciting.

E3 is gonna be fucking fantastic. I can't wait. This, Red Steel, who knows WHAT else. Plus, there is still more that we don't know about the Revolution. I'm pumped.

E3 can't come fast enough. I would love to go, to be there myself, but hahaha, yeah that's never gonna happen.

There's so much i'm looking forward to, but this game is coming pretty close to topping everything else.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well, judging from Red Steel's screenshots it seems like Sadness shouldn't have trouble (graphically) in terms of creating atmosphere. Again, this is just speculation hey...

And for the first time, having touched every system but an Xbox, I tried a few xbox games today. An if, (according to IGN's sources) the Revo is Xbox power times 1.5 then there's no need to worry about Revo's power.

My thoughts. Entitled to them.
