I don't remember, do you auto-crit when attacking someone prone? Or is there some other bonus?
Prone dudes offer combat advantage to people attackin' them (that's a +2 to your attack roll yup yup).

Wanna say the condition that grants auto-crits is Helpless

Hey, let's revisit the concept of player narrative empowerment!

The answer is whatever the fuck you want, provided you don't dinker with the mechanics. Think of the attack names as helpful suggestions, not restrictions. Maybe Stonum doesn't actually have radioactive eye beams, but rather an old magic wand handed down to him by his forefathers (and, unfortunately, post-Mistake, Cure Light Wounds manifests itself as radiation sickness). Stuff like that. Whatever works with your character concepts.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Ahh okay. I'm used to playing with DMs that are more literal with rules and skill applications. Now that I think about it, maybe the people I've played with in the past are sort of boring. And they've made me boring oh god what-

Additional Spam:
Also, is slowing a vehicle to a halt and putting it in park (or turning it off, or whatever) also a move action?

Yeah, anytime you control the vehicle (even if it's just to shut it down) that's going to cost you a move action.

Alternately, just bail out while it's still moving!

Ok, another stupid question(s). If I'm trying to persuade someone, is it Interaction vs. Willpower? Do I have to be adjacent to them to persuade them? Is that a minor or standard action?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Interaction vs. Will, yeah. Bearing in mind that if the target is hostile, Interaction checks are at +5.

Standard action, and, hell, no reason you need to be next to somebody to persuade them.

I assume that means I'd have to be 5 over their Will to succeed? Also, they may be hostile, but we've also killed several of their comrades, and you said their bravado was receding. Surely they might be open to a chance to beat a hasty retreat?

How ya doing, buddy?

Yeah, maybe. I'm gonna level with you, the rulebook isn't super concrete about combat diplomacy so it's going to be handled pretty fuzzily. So, anybody who makes an in-combat persuasion attempt like this, just be aware that your success is going to be down to a lot of fuzzy-wuzzy situational stuff because the handbook doesn't include a modifier for "hostile, but all his friends are being fit for sausage casings". So be all means give it a try if you want but, say, don't hinge the rest of your turn on it unless you get a nat 20 or something. I have to go along with the nat 20. That's just ethics.

Exhibit A:
Quote:
Feeling a bit left out that he's the only one not on the Bobcat, Skittles decides a bit of self-preservation is in order.

Move action 1: Shift to F7
Move action 2: Move as far to the right as possible (it doesn't appear that F7 is actually adjacent to a wall, it's just where the current map ends).
Exhibit B:
Quote:

So does one of us just say, "And then they all set out for Denver" and Pang throws the inevitable ambush at us, or is there more to it than that?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well, after all that trouble to get the Bobcat nobody seems to be driving it, so I thought I'd wait for Sousuke to chime in before I gave things a kick in the pants.

And it's not like you have to go to Enver, anyway. There's nothing stopping you from being irresponsible jerks and ignoring the incredibly vague adventure goal I gave you. Whee, sandbox

So where are we off to? I vote that Diss make the call, since he did the most damage in our last encounter, in spite of his failures.

The bugbear stands expressionless in the blood-splattered ruin of his home, perhaps in some kind of shock.

loooooooool running we left the pristine Bobcat behind for you

In fairness, the Bobcat has a top speed of about 5 km/h. Running is almost certainly a better bet if he wants to actually catch up.

Regardless, I'm running. And screaming.

That said... sorry about disappearing, we've had some troubles with the car and insurance and getting pulled over and getting ticketed and having the car TAKEN OFF THE ROAD so I've been busy working on that shit the past couple days and haven't really thought to check the thread.

I'm back now.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Why wouldn't you be able to? Dang, stop asking if you can do things and just do them, if something goes wrong you'll find out. Just give me a general idea of your heading if you decide to abandon the roads.
