Garr's current AC is 25, yours and Hawk's are 22. Even taking a mark into account, you're easier to hit.

(Of course this stops being true once Garr gets out of that tin can, but but but shut up)

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Guh, can't take immediate actions. Guess I should've read the dazed description before posting.

Anyways, how long am I dazed for? Do I make a saving roll?

You know, Puyet is going to get tired of these status ailments after a while and start straight up murdering motherfuckers.

But it's an interrupt, so it technically kicks in JUST BEFORE you get dazed. So Endure Pain would have worked fine...?

And yeah, save ends the daze, sorry about that

Question time again! If I make an attack that hits more than one target, I don't take any penalties for any of them as long as the howler's one of them, right?

I'm still weighing options for my turn, though.

How ya doing, buddy?

Yes, it should!

Might I suggest action pointing to attack? It'll give you a free Melee Basic attack thanks to Zeph. And if it misses, you could expend Blades of Fiery Wrath as an immediate reaction. This way you'll get three attacks this turn.

As long as the marking creature is attacked in some way the mark doesn't impede you, even if it's just one of six creatures you're hitting at once.

Zerg, Blades of Fiery Wrath only triggers on one of my SWORDMAGE at-wills. I'd also feel better about action point usage if I didn't have just one, since I might need it later. This is atypical of me, seeing as how in the vidya, I fuck myself over using such things immediately.

Also, Fighter is a pussy. Guess a lack of sword-chucks'll do that to you.

Oh, okay. I only read "at-will" and thought, "O HAY MELEE BASIC ATTACK IS AT WILL YIPPEE".

Regarding the retreat, I can't decide whether Pang is cutting us a break, or he wants to deny us experience and loots. Damn, he's hard to read.

I'm gonna guess that's to keep you from triggering it if you miss your free aegis attack.

Regarding action points, we're still pretty fucked right now, so using them is a good idea.

Puyet's still got 1 action point and retains use of Flattening Charge (Valid targets without expending the AP are FITR, BMAG, GRLD, and J109 Yeti)

Forget I said anything. Thought it was Puyet's turn.

Hey pang... that Yeti needs to go before I can take my turn. This is important.

Granted, I probably won't be able to take turn until early tomorrow afternoon, because cake must be baked.

I'm tallying up the damage done to Garland, and there's something I don't quite understand.

Here are the relevant snippets which mention Garland:
Spoiler:
GFZ: Booming Blade - 19 + 3 + 4 + 11 = 37 Garland HIT - Damage 6 + 6 + 4 = 14

Pang: 12 damage, and Garland marked (well, aegised, but that's not a word now is it). Lot of extra numbers in your combat math, there.

Garr: Villian's Menace: 15 + 8 = 23 > 21 Garland takes 7 + 7 = 14 damage

Garr: Cleave: 15 + 8 = 23 > 21 Garland takes 5 + 7 = 12 damage

Pang: Garland bloodied by Cleave, then 9 damage to Garland from AoO

I don't get where the source of that 12 damage (right after Booming Blade) came from. At first, I thought AW maybe it's Pang correcting Booming Blade's 14 damage, but reconsidered when I realized that Garland's bloodied value would then be 12+14+12 = 38, which would indicate total HP of 77 - rather implausible given all the halflings have the same, and Garland was totally holding his own.

Sure, 14 can be added to that in an alternate interpretation, but then I don't get where 12 comes from.

Also, my [rather unreliable] calculation indicates that White Mage had 21 HP at most (Surge value 18 * 4 = 72 + 3 (slack) = 75 - 54 damage done = 21) at the start of Gheth's turn. Just wanna know if it's correct, for my enlightenment.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

maybe it's Pang correcting Booming Blade's 14 damage
Yes. Are you proposing that Garland would have eventually lost that fight without your interference? How preposterous.

And WMAG had 19 HP at the start of Gheth's turn.

Of course he would have lost!

For the most part, their ACs are higher, ditto their Reflex and Will! Plus, he has no healer! He's only got the same HP count as they do, after all.

They probably all rolled 1s prior to our fight. That's the only possible explanation!

Pang, I was looking at Puyet's character sheet, and couldn't figure out how AC25 was calculated by the Character Builder. Drakescale adds 8, Veteran's armor adds 2, Base AC plus Half Level is 13. Total of 23. His AC is 25.

At first glance the extra 2 AC might come from his shield. BUT there's a "+4 under MISC" and a "-2 under MISC" in the Character Viewer, which is a bit confusing.

Reason I ask is I made up a level 7 Warlord who doesn't roll any attack or damage dice (except for 1 encounter), so he can screw Strength/Dexterity and just go with being a pure commander cum skills monkey. So I'm trying to jack defenses up as high as it will go.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Yeah, poking around with it and it seems to be the shield. Dunno why it adds +4, -2 instead of just adding +2, but all the Heavy shields seem to do it (Light shields do +2, -1).

(Of course, Puyet's shield is actually on the floor right now since he needed his free hand to choke ladies but that's immaterial to your question.)

wvlf, Puyet's Bravura Presence gives you either a risky attack or a move action. if you want, you can take that potshot at any yeti but will grant CA to all if you miss.

Hawk, if I'm not mistaken, Sneak Attack works just like Hunter's Quarry on a crit - damage dice is auto-maximized (so you do a total of 30 damage [1d6+6+2d8+2] on that roll). Not enough to drop the warrior, but leaves him in single digits.

Pang, I am uncertain about the height of the various statues in your map. So, lemme clear up in advance.

Are there any special cover considerations for ranged attacks in this particular terrain?
