Acer - Yo.

Regarding Uno, you can use your Miis and have up to six people on online multiplayer. Here's the official trailer:

Blaster Master Overdrive Headed to WiiWare This Monday

US, February 6, 2010 - Redding, CA – February 6, 2010 – SUNSOFT, a division of SUNCORPORATION (JASDAQ: 6736), has today announced that BLASTER MASTER™:OVERDRIVE will be available in North America on February 8th for WiiWare.

BLASTER MASTER™:OVERDRIVE is an action-shooting game that takes place on an Earth infected by an aggressive, polymorphic virus. Poor, defenseless animals worldwide infected by the virus have been turned into flesh-eating, hemoglobin-swilling terrors. Fortunately, the world has Alex. And, even more coincidentally, he happens to be one of the world's foremost biologists - specializing in viral mutation profiles and genetic manipulation.

Every studious biologist facing imminent global annihilation needs a sweet ride, and Alex is no exception. He has S.O.P.H.I.A., a shape-shifting, gas-guzzling, projectile-spewing paean to destruction on four wheels. Things look grim, but with Alex and S.O.P.H.I.A. on the case, the world just may have a chance.

Gameplay in BLASTER MASTER™:OVERDRIVE retains the critically acclaimed format of the original NES BLASTER MASTER™, alternating between side-scrolling platforming in S.O.P.H.I.A. and overhead-perspective blasting and exploration when controlling Alex. Upgrades for S.O.P.H.I.A. must be collected to access progressively more challenging terrain and a total of eight distinct areas. Each area features a mutant boss that must be defeated to progress.

The sublime blend of side-scrolling shooting/platforming mixed with overhead perspective action/shooting areas is just as addictive now as it was in the original game. The game is rated E10 for Mild Fantasy Violence and can be purchased from the Wii Store online for 1000 Wii points beginning February 8th, 2010.

As with the BLASTER MASTER NES Virtual Console release, fans are encouraged to improve their skills completing this game so they can compete and win in a coming promotion that will test their skill for collectible prizes.

I've never gotten around to playing the original Blaster Master, but this looks pretty cool. I'm only saddened by the apparent lack of Alex's frog.

From what I skimmed through, it plays like Shadowgate.

I liked Shadowgate... but that just looks weird. And your character is named Sir Cucumber? We sure are getting a lot of weird stuff now that they're released such a large chunk of the good stuff.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I've had Princess Tomato in the Salad Kindgom for years. I remember when it came out in 1990, it was pretty bizarre, even by point and click standards. Basically, your objective is to find and rescue Princess Tomato, with the help of a child persimmon named Percy. It plays very much like Shadowgate/Deja Vu/Uninvited, except the solutions to the puzzles are more obtuse - if that's possible. The puzzles themselves can be worked out through trial and error, even though a small number have no intuitive value whatsoever (For example, you have to keep coming back to a screen until you see a half-bug half-strawberry thing cross the road; THEN you must check his wake for a useful item that doesn't actually appear on-screen to let you know you should probably be looking for something there. Nothing in the game alludes to this task either.) What makes the game annoying at times is that the developers decided to throw in some combat but couldn't figure out how to make it work in a point-and-click adventure by any other means than rock-paper-scissors. This basically makes the lowest peon just as powerful as the strongest lord since combat is entirely a game of chance.

But it's a cute game despite the sometimes absurd and painful localization. Is it worth spending Wii points? I'm gonna say no, no it's not. It doesn't really grip you like Shadowgate and Uninvited did, if but for the cutesy factor alone. 500 isn't a ton of Wii points, but you're better off finding a ROM and deleting it two hours later once you've had your fill of stupid produce humor.

Now I have only to beat the fucking wily stages in 9.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.
Touching butts had been banned by the evil Headmaster Frond.
Suddenly, Tina Belcher appeared in the doorway.
She knew what she had to do.
She touched Jimmy Jr's butt and changed the world.

The japanese IV right? You think they would have stuck to the actual name since most people knows it now.

So by that thought process should they change Super Mario Bros 2 for NES to Super Mario USA? You think they'd actually put the effort forth to muck around with the title? It's just a dumb rom container.

No, because Super Mario USA was its name in Japan.

Square on the other hand has released the real Final Fantasy II in english plenty of times and has released Final Fantasy IV as Final Fantasy IV since porting it to PS1.

They keep it as II since it's the US SNES release I suppose, but just saying your analogy sucks >:E

My point still stands that they're lazy and they're just packing roms up with a digital instruction manual and little else. You get an exception here and there but that's pretty much the case so I don't see why anyone would be surprised that they didn't change the title.

Cave Story is actually 1200 points, but I've got a ton of points left over from birthday/Christmas, so I'll buy it. Some people are grumbling because the PC version is free, but for some reason it doesn't bother me.
