Yeah, people let their guard down like crazy when they think they've got the house locked down on Estate. It's so easy to come in through the basement or using the log pile in the back to reach the second floor and just clean house when you're doing the knife thing.

Also knife class works on EVERY MAP, you just have to learn the fine art of bob and weave. That or keep a silenced weapon to pull out on the off chance you get caught in a long distance fight with little cover. I use the Pistol/Tac Knife and a silenced M16. Works wonders, especially halfway through the game when people aren't expecting you to just sight up and shoot them in the head when they turn a corner a ways from you.

I was playing earlier with Kid/Vagrant Mugen and managed to rack up two Care Packages and an EAD, so I turn to him:

"Yo help me lock this area down I gotta drop this shit"
"aight dawg we got this"

We set up in an open parking lot, dump the signal grenades and take a knee. The EAD comes first and as we're picking them up the two regular Care Packages drop, and I turn just in time to see a big ass box fall out the sky and kill Kid. I could not stop laughing. If there is ever a kill-cam in this game I would actually want to watch, it would be that.

Can you imagine that shit, a big ass box coming down in slow-mo and hitting you right in the dome. I love MW2 more and more I play it.

I played through campaign two times on hard and veteran. Not such a big difference unless you get surrounded.
I loved the cinematic feeling, just like the first one, it had a lot of dramatic moments which I love in FPS games because it just looks more awesome through he viewpoint of a person, like being caught by a teammate or making leap of faith.

I'm a level 20 on multiplayer, I don't play as much because I pretty much suck. Sometimes I do well against people on my own level and then other times I get something like 4 kills and 11 deaths.
I did the mistake of getting precision airstrike while I should have gotten a chopper so now I need to wait 3 more levels before i can choose it.
I haven't touched spec ops yet because I'd rather hit it co-op. So if there are a few PS3 users who want to try it then go ahead and invite if you see me online.

Yesterday I was playing on Rundown and got killed by an exploding fire hydrant.

I did not know that could happen.

Shortly afterwards, I was knocked dead by a supply crate.

AHAHAHA, oh wow. So the game lets you join your friends Mercenary Team Deathmatch lobbies when they're in pre-game mode which I thought they wouldn't allow since that defeats the point, but damn is it funny.

Mo0 and I did this for about an hour and a half, and while sometimes you end up on the other team it's still great because of Party Chat.

When we did get on the same team (a lot) we would run around all KNIFE SQUADRON and EMERGENCY AIR DROP mode, fucking people up all day (I think I went 38-5 or something stupid with a Chopper Gunner a bunch of other shit). Bait-and-switch is the best tactic. Have one dude run through an area and have the second come in and stab everyone in the back when they come out of hiding to kill the first one, who usually makes it away because of the bullshit speed.

Shit, we even had a random third guy start doing the knife shit with us. This. game. There's so much to hate about MW2 but if you play it all the wrong ways it becomes the funniest thing in existance.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The matchmaking in this game is retarded. Team A is full of level 15 noobs, Team B crowded with level 50+ pros. Match ends 1500-7500. What a surprise. Seriously.

It took me a couple of days to get the Tac Knife. Sometimes I'd have to stop and shoot people instead of knifing them when I got the drop on them. It's a lot easier in Merc TDM though. Once you hit 50 and get Akimbo pistols it stops being such a pain to do.

Also, lmao 1887 shotgun. People running around with those in Akimbo mode is the most ridiculous looking shit I've ever seen in my life. It looks like a dude with two long ass twig arms when they're sprinting.

I was playing some hardcore headquarters this weekend, and I managed to kill 5 guys with a single Predator. There's a challenge for that. I was feeling good about it, until two minutes later, the only guy on their team who I did not kill with said Predator won the round with a Nuke.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Is anyone else finding that the matchmaking is getting worse? Of my last 20-or-so attempts to get in a game with other people it has randomly booted one of the people or not connected them on at least half of the attempts. I mean, it wasn't great to begin with but it seems to be getting worse.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah the matchmaking sucks most of the time. First day I tried it people were already at incredibly high levels and maybe the game gave up trying to find a suitible match and decided to throw me in with high levels. Although Levels really don't mean shit here since I've seen 50's with 2 kills 14 deaths.
The biggest issue I've had on ps3 is that it has frozen on lobbies quite a few times and the connection to the host really isn't the best.
I pump a guy full of lead and he kills me with a headshot, I proceed to watch the kill cam only to find out that I never even shot the gun>?

We had a problem like that only once the other day but since then it's pretty much been business as usual.

We usually play as groups of 2-3 though, so not sure how that compares to how many you bring.

So I learned how to do the like, 3 step infinite airdrop glitch today. It's hilarious and so god damn easy. This game is so fucking broken. All I need is hardline, then by 2 kills I'm pretty much guaranteed a shit ton of UAVs, pavelows etc. for the rest of the match.

Yeah. There's already a ton of dumb shit, like the Javelin glitch that turns you into a walking time bomb. As the the airdrop thing they're calling it the Infinite Care Package glitch.

I haven't encountered any of that though. I have however, run into someone who glitched into the rocks in Afghan.

I can see the likelihood of returning to MW2's multiplayer grounds disappearing rapidly, though thankfully there's great MP shit like L4D2 out there to keep me entertained.

You prep a Semtex grenade and switch back to the Javelin instead of throwing it and you explode like a Predator Missile when you die, basically.

Switching weapons or climbing objects (ladders, ledges, etc) resets it, so all you can do is knife until you die. Apparently it's hella effective, especially with Danger Close. Haven't tried it myself.

I ended up muting an entire match at one point because some idiot kid saw me follow him off the edge of a map to duplicate a glitch that he did and WOULD NOT STOP OFFERING TO TEACH ME MORE GLITCHES JESUS KID SHUT UP YOU'RE 5 AND 22.

It wasn't even much of a glitch, really, it was jumping off the edge of highrise onto the window washing platform that's dangling. The handrail is apparently a ladder.

It's kind of sad that the multi already has that kind of bullshit. The first game got out and out ruined by rapidfire and reload glitching, I hope the same doesn't have this time.

Has anyone actually run into a rapidfire in this one? Skills and I were in different games and he was running into them at apparently a rate of 2 per game, and I've never seen one. I tend to skip the killcams, though, so

Also is THAT what people are doing on Highrise? I see people just kinda haphazardly jumping off all the time and I either shoot em or stab em.

Despite being really fucking broken in many respects—the first game I ever played matched me up against four fuckers who were already prestige—I'm still enjoying it. Maybe they'll patch out some of the really aggravating bullshit if it becomes commonplace.
