Serious Sam HD: over 6005 polygons per krundle!

A crack team of developers has taken Serious Sam, the game we all know and love, and injected it with digital awesome, as explained in minute detail in the trailer below.

Destructoid - New Serious Sam HD trailer is the best trailer ever

Seriously, watch the trailer. After you've watched it, come back here and read below:

- Will be available for Xbox Live Arcade and PC
- Online Co-op mode
- More definitionier then ever
- ????
- Profit!

Also, discuss!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Collect underpants?

That trailer is full of Serious Awesomeness. Laughed @ 1.03.

I'm a bit meh'ish about this title though, since I already played it to death.
Online co-op sounds intriguing.

Anybody else feel like Croteam should put some effort into getting Serious Sam 3 on the shelves instead?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

This is apparently just a re-do of The First Encounter, right? Yet I spotted a pumpkinhead, which to my recollection do not appear in The First Encounter.

I AM SKEPTICAL.

Also, the "HD-ness" isn't really perceptible at trailer quality anyway so it's hard to be sure if I should be excited

How ya doing, buddy?

Maybe it's an compilation of 1+2 (were there pumpkinheads in Gold?). This is too long ago.

Consoles might have gone "HD", but it still looks like 2001 to me with a bit better lighting/blur effects. Graphics always tend to age better in my memories though.

EDIT: See, I told you so.
Spoiler:

Must have been thinking of the second installment.

That looks like yeah, 2001-ish. Still awesome though.

Also Kamikaze bombers in HD fuck yes.

I was speaking idiomatically.

So the Serious Sam HD website is up, complete with "Testimonials". I suggest checking out the Kamikaze one if nothing else.

Please enter your age

Of note: "Embrace the mayhem with up to four players through online co-op on Xbox LIVE or unleash total chaos with up to 16 players on PC."

Also contains some before and after screenshots which will give a better idea of what to expect, as well as a couple gameplay videos.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Spoiler:

I play the second game sometimes even now and I'm 100% sure that's from the second game (from the second world to be exact). I'll be buying for sure if it has both games this is one of the best classic fps games out there imo
