What Tails said. No drama in here. Just nominations and legitimate discussion.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I am just saying you shouldn't be nominating MOH Frontline since its multiplatform and thats for General Gaming. And if you are counting PC you cant nominate Silent Hill 3 here. And Not even 4 since that is multiplatform as well. And no MGS2 either.

I know what can fly and what can't. Sorry.

I already know this. I am in the process of co-ordinating with people through PM about their nominations.

Again, I can handle this, thank you.

Additionally: Since Metal Gear has long since been a staple of the Sony consoles, I pay no attention to the XBOX port of 2 (Which was a port of SUBSTANCE, not the original Sons of Liberty anyways).

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Yeah, I think I said in the PC thread that long standing staples of certain platforms (The Sims for the PC, MGS for the PS) should be placed in the area they originated from.

The Twin Snakes (which I own, in fact) was an enhanced port by SILICON KNIGHTS, not the original KCEJ/Konami of the actual series itself, therefore, if people want to nominate it for that album cool, it'll still be out of place.

The point stands that Metal Gear is a staple of the Sony consoles. Further interruptions on your part will earn you a thread ban, BZ.

Additionally: Seeing as how Silent Hill has traditionally landed on Sony consoles before their PC ports, I'm going to let them slide.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Since the RPG album just got killed . . .

I'll nominate some newer music. These are not necessarily my favorite tracks from their respective albums, but they're good listening.

1. Genso Suikoden V Original Sound Track - Disc 1 - Track 7 - Recollection
2. DIGITAL DEVIL SAGA ~Avatar Tuner~ 1 & 2 Original Sound Track Integral - Disc 4 - Track 6 - Battle for Survival
3. Rogue Galaxy Original Sound Track - Disc 2 - Track - 18 - The Mystery Forest

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Guilty Gear Isuka - Irony of Chaste by Daisuke Ishiwatari

I'm going to get stabbed in the face because Attack with conviction!! is nowhere near this list, but :futails:. Hitting up DAT SONG OF THE WEEK for this list, but they're all good tracks, so.

Legaia 2: Duel Saga - Lost Forest
Vib Ribbon - Vib Ribbon Blues
Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse - communication breakdown
Ys: The Oath in Felghana - Sealed Time

It so happens that what I posted for the former RPG album can go here. Some of my favourite tracks from last year.

EDIT: Forgot BOF4's opening track was in last year's General Game Music Discussion's album so I'm replacing it with something else. I'm also nominating one more track.

Xenosaga Episode II (Game Rip) - Track 19 - "Ormus Stronghold"

Shadow Hearts: From the New World Original Soundtrack - CD 1, Track 18 - "Light Crossing Boder"

Musashiden II: Blademaster Original Sound Track - CD 2, Track 21 - "Holy War"

OZ Original Soundtrack - CD 2, Track 7 - "The Wingless Angels ~Requiem~"

I was speaking idiomatically.
I think therefore I am... I think.

I undertand that Silent Hill 3 was for the PC as well. And that Silent Hill 2 was for eventually released for the PC and the Xbox. And Silent Hill 4 was multi-platform.

But when I think of Silent Hill, I think of the PSX and the PS2. Ever since the original Silent Hill debuted on the Playstation, it has been a flagship survival horror series for Sony.

But if Tails ultimately decides that SH3 can't be nominated, I'll take down my 06 - Sickness Unto Foolish Death.

I nominate "Legend of the Snake" and "A Measure of Peace" (by Gammingforce's own Musharraf, previously available in the XChange) for the entire Metal Gear Solid series. Even though they're not technically in the games, they are very good mixes of Metal Gear's main theme. Since Subsistence just came out and because it's the last Metal Gear game on PS2 and before the next generation, it's only propper that we celebrate with this. I also nominate "Sidecar- Escape from the Fortress" (or "Pursuers" in MGO). Even though it was also on last year's list, it is simply the most kickass track to kill to in Metal Gear Online, thus beckoning a return.

I also nominate "Elemental Particle 2" from AC5 Arcade mode/ACZero. This newer version of the AC2 classic is full of energy and really represents what Ace Combat's all about: kicking ass at 20,000 feet! It can also be seen as a AC04 track because AC5's Arcade mode is AC04 continued. Since Zero will soon be upon the U.S. I thought it only propper to get the AC adrenaline pumping.

I was speaking idiomatically.

2) Akira Yamaoka - Nightmarish Waltz (Silent Hill 4)
3) Ayako Saso - Sudden Threat (Phantom Kingdom)

I have a question. Last year, when the RPG album was up, there apparently was a "Vagrant Story - Vagrant Melody" in there. Now, I don't know what freaky tracklist people were using, but there's no such song on the soundtrack. Someone who has last year's albums and knows Vagrant Story, could I get some clarification on which song this really is so I don't nominate it again accidentally?

That said:

Hitoshi Sakimoto: Meteor (Stage 5) - Gradius V OST
Michiru Oshima: Castle in the Mist - ICO OST
Hitoshi Sakimoto: Staff Roll - Vagrant Story OST
(if "Vagrant Melody" doesn't turn out to be this one)

And as much as I adore The Moon and the Prince, since it was on last year's OST, maybe it should be left out this time? Just wondering because I've already seen three nominations for it and I'd hate to think what other great songs those could have been used for.

From other Katamari songs, I'd nominate

Kenji Ninuma: DISCO PRINCE - We <3 Katamari OST

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Unfortunately, yes. Things from last year = no go.

Mobius One, since Sidecar -Escape from to Fortress- from MGS3 was on last years soundtrack, it is inelligible, no matter how awesome it is, sorry.

If there's any other dupe nominations I overlooked, please let me know.

It is the Vagrant Story theme (I assume) played by a piano. Either way it's not the Staff Roll track (though it is somewhat similar). I am not that familiar with the soundtrack, just the Staff Roll song in particular (which the "Vagrant Melody" track bears some similarities to).

Here is the song in particular.
