So the clocks went ahead an hour!

Soo - this morning at 2AM, the clocks jumped forward ahead an hour - stealing yet another precious hour of sleep from us.

We can't let this continue! Those damnable clocks are out to ruin our way of life!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The time change happened while I was at work, so I actually won't be losing ANY sleep at all since I just got back an hour or so ago. See you all at 7PM, suckers!

Losing an hour sucked. Especially since my alarm clock didn't go off this morning - I was behind enough on my work. Thank you daylight saving time!

BTW - the GFF DST detection is broken. It says that it's 9 AM - it's actually 10 AM. And yes, I have my setting in options set to detect DST automatically. I just checked.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I don't think I've ever seen vB's DST detection work >_<
In any case, it's time for me to go change all the clocks in my house, so that the time on the things that automatically update their time doesn't confuse me.

I didn't have to change anything, not on my watch anyway, since I actually was too lazy to set my watch one hour back, back in october. And now everything's fine again.

Laziness does pay off. Even if it's on trivial things.

Same here.

Man, I wish the punchclock would automatically change for DST. That would mean that us night shifters would get paid for an hour that we didn't work.

I always have trouble waking up for about a week when the clocks are moved forward an hour. Even if I sleep earlier and wake up at the same time, I still find it difficult to remain awake.

I don't understand why my cell doesn't change time automatically. I mean, it changes time when I fly halfway across the nation, but for DST it's no dice. What. I mean, at least it could have a little feature where you check if you're on it or not, so it'll change. At least my computer did, or I'd have forgotten entirely.

And I have a rehearsal at 5pm. That could have been a mess.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

It sucks
Suddenly getting up one hour earlier is something hard. Also, I notice stuff feel different in the beginning, like "shit, I thougth it was <one hour earlier than current> time".

I was speaking idiomatically.

Meh, personally speaking I think it is a waste of effort to keep changing the time back and forth. If someone is worried about "daylight savings" then they can get their ass up out of bed an hour early, leave the rest of us the fuck alone!

Like pretty much everyone else, I lost an hour's worth of sleep.

But I lost something else......

My diginity.

My self-respect.

The keys to my car.

The little cap that goes on the ketchup bottle.

My day's been royally off-kilter.

Lol, when you start a new job - on the first DST day, show up an hour late, and be like "Oh, shit! I completly forgot that we went an hour ahead today" and then the next time around, show up two hours late, and be like "Oh shit! I remembered this time, but put the clock the wrong way!"

lol

I don't see how one meager hour can ruin an entire day for some people. Twice a year I have to do it and twice a year, all I hear is people bitching about how they can't live under these horrible condition and how an hour of sleep will kill you. Well, not eating vegetables was supposed to kill me and I'm still standing.

Get over it, it's only an hour....not the apocalypse, but that would be awesome.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
