Formatting a laptop help

Hi

I've been borrowing a laptop and installed Vista + a lot of other softwares, and it's time to return the laptop back.

I want to return it as a clean laptop with no OS installed.
How do I format the harddrive with everything else on it, so that the people receiving the laptop can only put in a new OS-CD so that a new OS can be installed?

Jam it back in, in the dark.
Thanks to Fjordor for the funny image!

So I just don't continue with the installation after I've formatted/deleted C:\ ?
I thought all the steps had to be done or it would mess things up, but ok, if this is all I have to do.
Thank you

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Nope, format it and don't install the OS. That should be good enough. He'll have to format it again for an ideal OS install anyway.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
