Picked up SSX Tricky and God Hand.
SSX Tricky for the sake of nostalgia and how awesome it is. God Hand just because I've heard many good things about it. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I bought Lips today for the XBox 360 as a birthday present to myself. K_tak showed me the preview to it the other day and it piqued my interest, so I stopped off at GameStop today to get it. I haven't had a chance to play it much yet because the people across the hall go to bed early, but so far so good.
I've already talked to a couple of my friends, and we're going to have a karaoke party soon ![]() This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's like Final Fight except you can pick people up and wiggle the joysticks so you'll walk away while the enemy is still hovering in the air. I got up to the second level but the boss walked on screen and got trapped behind a table. He eventually stopped trying to move and was just frozen on the spot. I think he died. ![]() I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Updating my library:
- Xenosaga Ep1 (Black Label): Already have it, but it's not enough. - Xenosaga Special DVD - SF: Anniversary: Already have it, but I lent it to a friend and now it doesn't work. He paid for this one though, so no complains. - Ninja Gaiden Sigma LE - Dead Space - Hot Shot Golf OB: I love this game so much! - Mario Kart DD Spoiler:
Hori Fighting Sticks "Soul Calibur Edition" (PS3): Meh, they are decent, but not great. Anyways, I bought them because I needed cheap sticks to mod. I already ordered sanwa sticks (JLF-TP-8T) to replace the original ones. Spoiler:
:3 Spoiler:
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Finally bought Castle Crashers. Finally caved in and bought it. Considering the patch came out fixing most of the errors, I figured it would be a good time to get it.
Hopefully people still actually want to play this game. o__o What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Shit is still broken... though we were actually able to play a game without it disconnecting. Tried playing with CS AFTER the patch and the game still had terrible input lag. Like, worse than Brawl's input lag. ._.
But then again, maybe it was because Skills was hosting from his Canadian connection. Oh yeah, and I bought Animal Crossing for the wii. I have cherries in my town. FELIPE NO |
Hit me up for a game of Castle Crashers sometime, Chaotic. I never had a lot of trouble with it even before the patch, though my games with Omagnus always disconnected after almost exactly one hour every time.
Miles, we should swap codes for fruit. I've got peaches. While I'm posting here I might as well list off my Christmas swag. - LEGO Batman (360) - LEGO Indiana Jones (360) - Fallout 3 - de Blob - Wario Land: Shake It! - Animal Crossing: City Folk (Peaches) - Raving Rabbids TV Party - Chrono Trigger - BANGAI-O Spirits - Kirby Super Star Ultra - The World Ends With You Picked these up during after-Christmas shopping: - Rhapsody - Rune Factory 2 - Warriors Orochi 2 - Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility Nutty bought Penny Arcade Episode 2 and Meteos Wars on my 360 while he was here, so I technically own those now too. I should also be getting Time Hollow in the mail any day now. Amazon decided to hold it for a week despite saying it was going to ship last week, but it could've arrived in my mailbox today. I didn't really feel like going out to check again in flash flood weather, though. Oh, and I decided to stop being lazy and registered all my stuff for Club Nintendo and came out with more than enough points for the Game & Watch Collection, so that should come sometime soon. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I'd be up for trying Castle Crashers again if people were getting a session going at some point, but it's disappointing to hear that there are still issues.
Anyways, as I posted elsewhere, this was my Christmas/post-holiday haul: ![]() And my copy of Rhythm Tengoku Gold arrived yesterday. Most amazing jew boots |
And yay for $800 games. ![]() How ya doing, buddy? |
There's this little place called Play 'N Trade a few blocks down by my house. They're notorious in town for buying and selling used games, and they have all the classics. I picked a few up:
-Ocarana of Time (Gold cart) -Grandia II for DC -REZ for DC Never finished Grandia II because I had a burned copy waaay long ago. Fun RPG, but I wanna play Grandia III when nitsu is done. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Got Left 4 Dead as a post-Christmas gift from a very generous friend a week ago, so I've been checking that out.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
I got Fallout 3 for Christmas. Pretty addicted to it so far, though I can't think of many other games that make me feel almost exhausted after playing them for a while (I don't bother with VATS much yet).
Most amazing jew boots |
Just bought Kirby Super Star Ultra and Final Fantasy IV DS with giftcard love. <3 remakes.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.
Touching butts had been banned by the evil Headmaster Frond. Suddenly, Tina Belcher appeared in the doorway. She knew what she had to do. She touched Jimmy Jr's butt and changed the world. |
I bought a Konami's e-Amusement Card + shit loads of coins for Jubeat. like ... few thousand coins of it

OMG !! LOL !!

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon, Dissidia, Super Paper Mario, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Taiko no Tatsujin Wii.
Man, I have more games to add to the waiting list ._. I still need to get the new IIDX and some others as well ._. How ya doing, buddy? |
Haven't bought much recently since Last Remnant and Prince of Persia (which were a while back now), so instead I bought a few games for my new cell phone (an LG Decoy)-- those being Soul of Darkness and Doom RPG.
![]() As you might be able to tell, the game is essentially a Castlevania clone. However, the game uses a few mechanics that I think make it superior to Castlevania in some regards. Rather than a simple leveling system, Soul of Darkness goes the Onimusha/Devil May Cry route by having enemies and items release orbs that can be used to strengthen various attributes for your weapons. You can even lengthen the attack chain of your weapon, which is something I think Castlevania sorely needs. All in all it's not bad, but the number pad on my phone is too constricted for the harder platforming aspects, and the joystick on the face of the phone is too hard to use. Next up is Doom RPG, which is my second id Software RPG after the phenomenal Orcs & Elves. ![]() ![]() It's slightly more primitive than Orcs & Elves, which makes sense since Doom RPG is older and Orcs & Elves got various improvements in the port to the DS. However, it's the same basic, first-person Roguelike, mini-RPG experience that I loved, so it's been seeing a lot of use. Now I need to find a way to play the two remaining id RPGs: Orcs & Elves II and Wolfenstein RPG. There's nowhere I can't reach.

spend about 20$ per day. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Drove about 40 minutes to track down a Beatmania Bundle. Pretty hard to find these days, and there was no way in hell I was buying it online. Online price? $80. Gamestop Price? $30. Yeah.
Also, went to Circuit City to see what they got on sale. Figured it would be a good time to get some PS2/3 Component Cables. For the official Sony ones, $17 wasn't a bad price. :| Most amazing jew boots |
I just got two rare games at ridiculously low prices! I got Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the PS2 (without the instruction booklet) for $5, and a mint condition Disgaea for the PS2 for $2 from some kid who was going to trade them in. Nice finds!
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Disgaea not so rare anymore now that it's a greatest hit, but damn, MvC2 for 5 bux? Jealous.
Picked up Fatal Frame III: The Tormented and Chrono Trigger DS on Sunday. I figured, if I was going to pick up a series of scary games, it might as well be that one. I'm gonna work backwards to find the other two. There are some locations close by that have a copy of the first and second ones. FELIPE NO |
Did a bit more bargain hunting.
![]() Most of the covers are clearly visible, but I went ahead and labeled them all anyway. 1 - Onimusha 2 What I considered the apex of the Onimusha series, the game gave you more weapons to wield, several partners you could team up with during boss fights, a town to use as a base camp, and it kept the detailed, pre-rendered backgrounds and slightly wonky Resident Evil-style movement system that I enjoyed in Onimusha. Only $5.99 which is totally worth it even if you preferred other entries. 2. Shining Tears I may have mentioned this and Nocturne earlier, but I can't recall. It's a so-so Action-RPG, but the music was entertaining and the leveling system was similar to western RPGs, which I can appreciate. This was a little steeper at 12.99, however. 3 - Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII I'm a bit of a Three Kingdoms buff, so I collect Romance of the Three Kingdoms games whenever I see them. VII and VIII were in the same place, so I got both at once. I tried playing it, but it's too archaic. I didn't expect it to come close to X (which I consider the best entry in series), but it's just too bare-bones when compared to VIII, which was a huge leap forward in both substance and style. Something like $5.99 used. 4 - Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII Like I said, both were there. This game is a big step up from VII and probably even a little better than IX and XI, but still below X. The music is varied and entertaining (I love Ba Shu's regional theme), and it's probably an entry I actually bother playing. It cost something like $7.99 used. 5 - Front Mission 4 Wow, has Front Mission always been this enjoyable? I was underwhelmed with Front Mission DS when I finally decided to give the series a try, but this was staring at me for $4.99 and I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Elsa's cheesy french accent is a bit cringe-worthy, but I'm enjoying running through the simulator missions and buying up skills. I was a little annoyed to switch over to Darril though, since I had put a ton of effort into grinding with Elsa's team and was mighty fine watching Durandal's conspiracy sleuthing. Great buy. 6 - Romancing SaGa Talk of the SaGa 2 remake got me all nostalgic, so I went down and picked up Romancing SaGa, which I had never purchased for myself. The character models are a tad frightening to look at, but the atmosphere is great and the music is top-notch. It's appropriately random and weird-in-that-SaGa-way, so it's a good deal at $9.99. 7 - Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil Really, it's the only platformer that rivals the best Mario entries. You just... have to not puke at the nauseatingly cute voices and the dreaded Wahoo Stomp. I owned it once before, but returned it since it was too expensive for not having the manual or cover. Found it complete at some store the other day, so I happily pounced on it for $7.99. If you like platformers, there's no reason not to own it. 8 - Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne I originally got sick of playing this when it first came out, but gradually got over this as time went on. Found it at some store a couple weeks ago and, knowing how hard it is to find despite a brief reprint, picked it up while I had the chance. Came at a comparatively steep $39.99. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I finally caved and decided to try out Fallout 3. I actually downloaded it for PC to give it a try, and within about half an hour, I decided that I had to have it. I searched all over the city, and to my dismay, everywhere I looked was either sold out, or only had the Collector Boxset. I wanted it for 360, and I'll be damned if I was going to pay $80 for the box as opposed to $50 for the regular. I didn't want the extras, really.
As a last-ditch effort, I checked out a nearby Blockbuster... They had a used copy [though in brand-new condition] of the boxset. For $40. So I was just like. DEAL. So it's mine now. :3 Also grabbed Fable II from a friend. Upgraded the video card too--the old Radeon x550 just wasn't cutting it anymore. So I now have a Radeon HD 4760. Picked up the new Prince of Persia to go with it, and I have to say... I'm loving this new upgrade. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
The last game I picked up was halo 3 when it came out. Its my only Xbox 360 game and i might pick up Fallout 3 and Street Fighter 4 soon.
There's nowhere I can't reach.
