Burke had a pretty awful match with CM Punk on ECW, full of miscommunication, so that always comes to mind with him, but he had a tremendous upside.
Not sure why WWE didn't do more with him, but he'll be back down the line, that's almost a given. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Hard to believe it has already been three years. Goodness, I still remember one morning waking up and seeing on Yahoo "Guerrero died" (this was when I was in China so I wouldn't get the news during the day like usual). I thought to myself "What?! Eddie or Chavo died?!?!!". Time really stood still. Yet 'suddenly' three years have passed. So hard to believe so much time has gone by.
I was thinking very recently about how we are reaching Mania 25, and that both the champions who put out what should have been "good feel forever" moments are both gone and for drastically yet both still very tragic reasons. However, in both cases, I try to remember all the good moments there were. The good matches. R.I.P. Eddie. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
So, PWI magazine recently had an article where they matched up five wrestlers generally based on category. this included Raw, Smackdown, ECW, ROH, and TNA.
Thought it might be interesting to do the same as things have changed a bit: Triple H (Smackdown) Vs Jericho (Raw) Vs Nigel (ROH) Vs Matt hardy (ECW) Vs Sting (TNA) - The amazing thing is there are so many one-on-one matches that wouldbe considered dream matches for one reason or another. Looking at the champions though, Jericho has done well. His win for the world title in September may have been a bit weak but he did fake HBK in a NO-DQ match so that counter-balances the tainted win a bit. Triple H has been on a roll since April. Nigel has repeatedly turned back challengers to the point the question is (although it almost always seems to be) who is going to get the belt. Matt is a surprising champion that three months ago you'd never even dream about. Sting is an ageless veternan who somehow found a way to win, and in recent times is in one of his most longest reigns in the past decade and if he makes it past the next PPV as champ, the longest reign since 92. With all that said, in truth, the winner will most likely be Triple H. Sting may be more experienced, Nigel may be younger, Jericho may have that new edge, and Matt may have upped his game (no pun intended) quite a bit, but none of them currently have the right, winning balance of all of that. True, the Triple H right now is not quite near what he was in 99-01, but he is still darn good, and for those injuries and time that have slowed him down, he has made up with and then some with wisdom, careful and calculated timing, and the ability to pull out that ruthless side when needed. Winner: Triple H Booker T (TNA) Vs Shelton Benjamin (ECW) Vs Regal (RAW) Vs Kevin Steen (ROH, winner of some tournament that my mind is currently blanking on) - This was a bit harder as Smackdown and ECW share the US title. For ROH, I had to include Kevin Steen as he won some tournament that more or less made him a number one contender. Best I could do. At any rate, experience is the key factor here and that immediately leads to Regal and Booker T. Regal just won the IC title while Booker made up the Legends title. however, Booker has done well in TNA and with his new heel turn has been basically unstoppable. The combination of his experience plus his attitude will lead to a win. Winner: Booker T I'll do a few others later. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Other part:
Punk/Koji (Raw) Vs Colon's (Smackdown!) Vs Beer Money, Inc. (TNA) VS Generico/Steen (ROH) - The WWE's tag team division is weak, no excuse about it. TNA's was superior in the day but is weaker now. However, it still far outshines WWE's. However, ROH's tag team division and it's wrestlers are top notch. They generally have fast-paced, hard-hitting matches where the wrestlers have to kick out of big moves and double team combinations. That, coupled with the constant title defenses makes whoever is tag team champs in ROH to be at the top of their game. They would easily be able to get past Beer Money, Inc. As for Koji/Punk, that would be a bit rougher but Koji/Punk haven't team as long, nor have they had near the title defenses Steen/Generico have had. As for the Colon's, that team COULD become great in the long run, however they follow down te same issue as Koji/Punk in that they need time, multiple defenses, and high-profile competition. With that being said, El Generico/Kevin Steen win it. Winners: El Generico/Kevin Steen Joe Vs Jeff hardy Vs John Cena Vs American Dragon Vs Mark Henry - This was a bit harder as I tried to take top contenders/number one contenders for this match. Dragon and Henry are debatable. At any rate, this one is a bit harder because save for Henry, I could forsee any of these men taking the win. cena has won many big, high profile matches. Hardy has reached a new level. Joe can be unstoppable. Dragon can wrestler circles around anyone. With that being said, Joe is currently into a bit of a losing streak (Sting, Steiner, Nash). Hardy COULD win it, but he has not quite won the big one and didn't beat Cena. Dragon could be a shocking winner, pulling out a cattle mutatation while everyone else is occupied but I think honestly Cena's near "super man" persona will endure here. Yeah, Cena lost to Batista and honestly he has been a step off this year, but that step off is he isn't champion. That's the same for Dragon too. And again given Cena's superman persona, I could forsee him getting to ropes for each cattle mutilation, and eventually getting the win after a FU. Winner: Cena Most amazing jew boots |
Thought this might be a bit interesting.
Last Night on UFC 91, Brock Lesnar took the Heavyweight UFC title by beating Randy Couture. It was a pretty awesome fight too. FELIPE NO ![]() |
Read this earlier and found it to be quite "interesting":
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
I read that too. I don't know which to believe honestly. Hell it could be a mix of both, because we all know how well creative does with people not the top 5 people on each brand.

That and personally, I didn't really think Adamle fit in either...mainly because he, to me, is someone who's more serious who had to play a part.
Not to mention when he tanked a lot on ECW he just kinda killed it for himself there. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
I heard about Lesnar. It will be interesting to see where he goes from here.
Good luck to the UFC...Lesnar's rep is less than stelluar with his two previous wrestling promotions. I heard too conflicting reports about Adamle. And they were from the same website. While he messed up repeatedly, part of it was horrible booking. I was confused as one moment he seems to be a heel, putting Cole in matches, etc. then basically "teaching Jericho a lesson" and slapping Orton the next. It seems kinda early for someone like DiBiase to be taking on a movie role in his career, especially in a sequel movie such as The Marine 2. He hasn't even been around for a year in the business, he's not really been much of a headliner, and as far as I know, though this really doesn't matter to the situation, any WWE superstar who's starred in a movie has at least been a face once. DiBiase has yet to complete that objective. Far as I know, all he's done was beat a couple wimps, buy out Cody Rhodes and take the tag team gold, cower his way to a few defensive wins, assault CM Punk at Unforgiven, and then lose the tag titles to Punk before getting his head kicked in.
Speaking of Cody Rhodes, methinks a possible mutiny might occur at Survivor Series resulting in a face turn for the 2nd Gen Team, or at least for Rhodes. Gotta wait and see if Manu follows along on that. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
But I think it would have been better to send Manu along with Umaga but right now Umaga is out so yeah. FELIPE NO ![]() |
How exactly did Umaga get taken out again? I kinda missed that and was kinda wondering why I hadn't seen him in a while.

Scary that Savage has had that all happen within ten...five years...

First, seems the WWE has been telling Brutus Beefcake to stop using that name that he has used since 2000. Probably cause he is using it on Hogan's show. I would laugh if he renamed himself "Vincent McManus" or something like that and did a comedy routine on continued use of power over trivial matters.
Anyway... Prediction time: Team Raw Vs Team Smackdown! (Ladies match) - Confusing here. Kinda like the old 2005 match where you had Batista teaming with Orton. At any rate, I would almost say Team Raw is a lock with Beth Phoenix except it would help Smackdown!'s roster with that win. So, Beth get's DQed and team Smackdown! wins it. Winner: Smackdown! Team Batista Vs Team Orton - And speaking of Orton/Batista here they are on opposing teams. Hard to believe all the twists and turns both men have gone through. In 2003, it was Batista who helped Orton get rid of Austin. In 2004...they teame dup at Evolution. In 2005, they had the afforementioned situation. 2006 was Batista taking on Booker for the gold while Orton was part of the only team I can think of that was ever 'shut out'. In 2007, both men defended their respective titles with huge wins over HBk and Taker respectively. Now comes 2008. Honestly, Orton needs this more than Batista, and I think a loss for Batista could help him out for his heel turn/rematch with Cena. So Orton's team gets the duke here. Also, interesting how they go from "GO Smackdown!" and "GO RAW!" to multi-brand teams. Seriously, the WWE should take it one way or the other. Winner: Team Orton Team HBK Vs Team JBL - How did JBL ever get the duke to lead a team? At any rate, watch for HBK's team to win, potentially with JBL bailing as to build up their encouter. Winner: Team HBK Casket Match: Taker Vs Big Show - Show got a surprising knock-out win over Undertaker. Undertaker punked him back one month later. This is the rubber match. This is also the PPV where Undertaker first debuted nearly TWENTY years ago. Freaky how much time has passed since then. At any rate, Taker has lost very rarely at Survivor Series and usually in big match environments. He lost to Batista a few years back in one of them. He lost to McMahon that set him back to the Deadman in 2003. He lost to Angle waaaay back in 2000. He also "lost" in being pinned by someone in 2001. The other factor is this is really the "Big Show's" main PPV. Many wrestlers have PPVs that are "their" PPVs. Taker's is Mania of course, but Show's is Survivor Series, having won two world title. However, his streak isn't quite as impressive nor undefeated like Taker's so I give Taker the duke here aside from smoe outside interference to set up another match (Umaga). Winner: Undertaker Triple H Vs VK Vs Jeff Hardy - So the word out is Jeff was found "unconscious" and is receiving treatment. My feeling? Possibly a way to prolong the showdown between Jeff and Triple H. There are rumors floating about that this is due to Edge. I could see that happening, but there is one real problem. Edge's run as a heel is reaching it's end. He is honestly running out of feuds. He has Jeff, possibly the Great Khali, and then maybe Christian (possibly a Wrestlemania match here in an attempt to see if Christian is "really" over) but that's about it. My feeling is Edge will be the reason and may even cost Jeff the title, but this will be so Jeff can be built up a bit better for a Wrestlemania victory against Triple H (by beating Edge at the Royal Rumble) and so that shortly after Mania and the Edge~Christian match, will be a reunion between Edge and Christian, similar to DX. Oh, and VK isn't winner it. Similar to Kennedy, he is doing well, but he needs a bit more time. I forsee him giong one on one with Trips at the next PPV, but that's about it. Winner: Triple H Jericho Vs Cena - Wow, Cena has been like, no where. His match has been hyped up, but wow. My feeling? This isn't Cena's time anymore. I forsee Jericho hanging onto the title after Batista 'accidently' costs Cena the match. This will lead to the eventual rematch between Cena/Batista where Batista is the heel, and Cena the face in which Cena will get the duke at Mania. This will also lead to the eventual showdown between Orton (as since his feud with PUnk seems to be already done before it began) and Jericho. Winner: Jericho I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

Oh, and Bischoff responded to Vince's legal threat. More or less, Vince is now pissed off that Bischoff's organization "exposes the business" (I have to agree with Bischoff if this is true, 1989, New Jersey, Vince). He's supposedly threatening everyone who does something with the promotion that they will never be allowed in the WWE again, even Jimmy Hart whom they gave permission to. *Sigh* And people wonder why I watch Ring of Honor more these days. There's nowhere I can't reach.
