The very first time you saw this...

That's right. The first time you witnessed a fatality has to be a definite wow moment for any old-school gamer.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

See, posts like this where the kid obviously hasn't read the opening post are why I had to change the thread title.

Anyway, I remember being mightily impressed the first time I watched a replay in Gran Turismo 3 and saw a heat haze coming off the track. The next racing game to impress me that much graphically was GRID, the first time the door got ripped off my car and in the replay you could see the driver's feet working the pedals. That's quite some attention to detail. I remember being pretty impressed in San Andreas the first time I noticed that the news reports and radio DJ's chat was about one of the missions you just did. Happens after every mission in GTAIV but it was most unexpected in SA.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I noticed that too, I love that kind of attention to detail.

I think the most recent 'wow' moment I had was when I finished my tank in LittleBigPlanet. I'd had a thought in my head about how it could work, and with a blank canvas and a little bit of effort there it was, a working thing. A marvelous feeling, and seeing it in action for the first time was a real 'wow' moment.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
