True. I just wish that customers wouldn't blindly accept it... "well, it's only a couple of bucks..." etc. The idea is to not support companies that do this, so that they (hopefully) change their ways. Otherwise they will keep on doing this with content. Soon, they'll release a game that is the equivalent of one "chapter" and make you pay for extra "chapters" that are already included on the disk...

There is a time when companies have too much power, and right now, we as gamers for some reason are completely accepting of the shit they decide to dish out. I "hope" that the video game market as it stands crashes and burns horrendously. It's the only way that it will get out of this glut of ever-increasing money grabbing schemes to pay for their ridiculously large advertising/development budgets.

The problem is that it isn't a couple of bucks. Isn't Namco charging $10 for a single dumbass paint job in Ace Combat 6. It's ok---I haven't bought any of those jokes. Of course they'll release DLC that will allow you to take the bikini off the girls in create-an-anime-faggot mode. 60 dolla.

I have been in a cave when it comes to this game. I honestly thought it was being released this fall so when i heard of the release I was a bit surprised ^^
I I loved SC and the xbox version of SCII (go spawnage =0 ). SCIII not so great and I had heard rumors before hand that Dante (devil may cry) would have been a guest but it was just a rumor and a bit disappointed that it wasn't to be.
I'll see if I just sell my gamecube and get this game for my ps3 soon before everyone decides that they get too bored of it but hopefully it'll be fun enough to finally be a good fighting game that's enjoyable online

I'll have to get the Soul Calibur soundtrack---can't resist. The SCIV soundtrack is garbage, except for a couple of tracks like Halcyon Harbor.

You might wanna reconsider giving up $15 for the SC1 soundtrack. It's only available in-game for battles. Daylight robbery if you ask me.

How are people progressing through the Tower of Lost Souls? I just hit the 45-46F block and I have to say that that is the biggest load of bullshit ever conceived. Three of your fighters (Without skills if you want the treasures) against a 300% defense, 200% attack Taki, Scytheman, and Astaroth. I can barely take out the Taki character with all three of my fighters, let alone all three.

Just put on equipment with good stats instead of the Impact/Gauge/Special/etc bullshit. And use Venom Fang A for those insane mobs.

Note that I haven't played much of the Tower though I know this strategy. I already got all equipments from getting above 30 honors. I have exactly 41 honors. Only a couple left. I'll probably run through the tower for 30 treasures (honor) then just complete it normally.

May or may not help, but try mixing in throws and low attacks. AIs don't guard against low attacks as often. Even on Arcade or Story-Hard, I spam Mitsu/Nightmare/Astaroth with low attacks and get perfects often enough.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Hmm... My last run with it was using Kilik's style with HP Recovery A, I believe. Just kept spamming Vertical Attacks liek whut.

But if I hang out with my friend tomorrow and he still hasn't beated that mission, I'll try attacking lower.

I heard that not installing delays the loading time by a bunch. I didn't compare though, installed right away.

I installed it afterwards but I dunno, it doesn't feel as though it helped the loading time THAT much, but who cares. Not like I have a whole ton of games I play anyways lol.

Hmm, so ToLS has to be one run?

I guess I'll have to pull out my Astaroth to get through that then. Maybe a Yun-Seong to Soul Crush because he makes it so easy...

ToLS is divided into two paths:- Ascend and Descend.

You can have your own sweet time completing ascend since matches are divided into 2-3 floors each, allowing you to continue from the latest floor you stopped.

Descend on the other hand, is the survival mode of SCIV. Your HP carries over to the next match, and you get a treasure unlocked for every 5 floors beaten. Lose one, and you restart from floor 1.

And yesh, Astaroth is awesome in the tower. That was who I used too. Yun Seong's -->B is a hack when it comes to quick Critical Finishes, but might be a little hard to pull in descend. AIs combo you liek wut.

Shouldn't be too hard then. Once I have maxed Yun-Seong and bought more equipment I'll work on the Tower then.

I've just been completing story mode for god knows what reason... (I have the LE so I didn't have any real need to do it for Soul Calibur // Soul Edge // Joke Weapons with the exception of a few characters)

The beauty of Yun Seong is, you don't even need to max his style to play him. A level 1 YS is as formidable as a level 9 YS. AIs are dumb enough to just stand there and block the -->B until they get soul crushed, then destroyed with L1.

First thing I did when I got the game was to clear story mode with everyone. Wanted to have a complete Ending list.

Also, the LE exclusive CaS parts, are they any good? I heard those codes can be used twice too?
