Video Gaming Prefixes
Thread about vBulletin Config (I can't change de thread name anymore)
---- Hello, I'm implementing a vBulletin community (paid version, of course) for a brazilian group I'm part of and I really wanted to use the prefixes the way it is used in the Video Gaming Section . I do know how to use prefixes which appear before thread titles, but not in a separate collum before the title, as you do. It's really beautiful and functional to click in the button and only see threads with the same prefix. I don't need you to make a whole tutorial (and of course you wouldn't do so), but could you please tell me where can I learn to do so? vbulletin.com, vbulletin.org and google didn't give me many "tips". Thank you in advance Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Er, which version of vBulletin are you using? The prefixes we have are a user-created mod, but the newest release of vBulletin already has it internally implemented.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I'm using the 3.7.2 and yes, I know it comes with the board, but they are not "clickable" and they stay before the name of the thread, not in another "colum" as on the video game section. The way it is used in here in much more beautiful and organized.
Organizing the prefixes that come in the newest versions of vBulletin are a much harder task that many users don't care to learn. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I believe it can be done just by editing the thread display template, but I'll have to get an installation of 3.7.2 to try that out.
How ya doing, buddy? |
I just wished there could be an easier way. I checked vb.org for any mods that could do similar things, but there's nothing similar. Anyway. Thanks for your help. If you have any time to spare and manage to understand what exacly has to be done to make it work, let me know Thank you once again! I was speaking idiomatically. |
