Sent you a PM about that

Anyway, I'm still available to do at least one more long match. If I don't get a reply soon I'm going to go down my hit list!

OK! Sorry for the long delay, but the Fire Gym Leader is ready to battle! I would like to do only 3v3 for the time being. I will be able to begin battling today at 6pm or later. My friend code is 1633 2877 6123.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

If I can finish this one pokemon before then, rad, I'll fight you in a 3 vs. 3. This should be a little difficult, but I'll do my best!

EDIT: Okay, I won't be able to finish that one guy, but I'll go ahead and fight you anyway, rad. I'll register your friend code now and be here at around 3 PM PST (6 PM EST).

Additional Posting of Excellent Quality:
Well, I lost 0-3 against the Fire Gym. Knowing that fire is coming every single turn meant that I was completely paralyzed in terms of switching, so once a person was out, they stayed until dead (ie, they didn't stay out long). Needless to say, very difficult match! I better got a hold of some real hold items by next match, too. Leftovers on my Heracross-that-got-OHKOd-every-time isn't exactly useful!

I lost 9, he lost 4-5. Can't remember.

How ya doing, buddy?

I guess I'll also be up for a match, if anyone's interested.

EDIT: I should mention that I'm still only available for 3 vs. 3 until tomorrow. Sorry about that, Chaotic.

I also finished my Gym Leader match with radcliff13. However, he doesn't have enough Pokemon for a 6v6, so all of our matches have been 3v3.

radcliff13 vs. Identity Crisis:

Round One:
His prime choice knocked mine out without so much as a second thought with a powerful strike in addition to a critical hit. However, Eddy was the next to come out for my team, and his Pokemon couldn't KO Eddy in time before sweeping the opposition.

Round Two
We started with the same two Pokemon from the last match. Mine was able to cripple his before both of us switched out our Pokemon for more fresh competition. Wyvern withstood a super effective attack from radcliff's Pokemon and was able to sweep the rest of his team.

Round Three
Since we had the same starters for three times in a row, we anticipated each others' proceeding moves. Instead of going on the offense by switching out, I kept playing defense and was able to save my Pokemon from the brink of annihilation at one point. Then, radcliff's Pokemon finished it off, but not before my Pokemon left its mark.

I win! 3-0
Pokemon I lost: 2
Pokemon radcliff13 lost: 9

Good games. It's kind of a shame you didn't have more Pokemon to fight with though. I left my choices as is thinking it would be more fair if you knew as much as possible about my team as I did about your team.

Kairyu vs radcliff13

Battle Report:
Round 1 (3v3):
I kinda felt bad Radcliff didn't have more than 3 pokemon to shuffle through. Which made my ground tactics almost painful to watch ._.
Aside from me losing one pokemon from a powerful non-fire attack it was almost a clean sweep for me.

Round 2 (3v3):
I decided not to switch out my team to help keeps things a little fair. So I changed the order =p. I don't think it helped Rad one bit though. There was just too much sand.

Round 3 (3v3):
Same thing as the last round. Since neither of us decided to switch up anything. Therefor the outcome was exactly the same. I still lost one pokemon though, I think I have too much faith in my defenses.

Match Summary:
Kairyu wins 3-0!
Kairyu loses 3 Pokemon
radcliff13 loses 9 Pokemon.

Yo, GB. I'm up for a match. Sending a PM now~

nevermind, I can wait!

Kai, I know exactly how you feel. ;_;

radcliff didn't have much of a team to switch out to, I felt bad sweeping him with Fang.

Battle Report:
Battle 1: 3v3
It was obvious to start out with Fang from my view. With a water attack in mind, that was the only thing I could do. Swept radcliff's team.

Match 1 Winner: Chaotic

Match 2: 3v3

Same result, but decided to give him a chance by switching up his team. radcliff managed to kill off two of my Pokemon, but same result with Fang.

Match 2 Winner: Chaotic

Match 3: 3v3

Same result, switched up my team again. He killed off Chief, but that was about it. Fang finished the job again.

Match 3 Winner: Chaotic

Chaotic wins 3-0
Radcliff loses 9 Pokemon.
Chaotic loses 3 Pokemon.

Go cut yourself in the dark also. It will be easy to bury the body under all that mud. >:3

Battle Report:
Match 1: 6v6

This one was a close match. I KO three of his Pokemon easily, he KOs five. I then KO two more and it comes down to our last two Pokemon. If it wasn't for a lucky flinch, I probably would've died in that match. There were also massive explosions.

Match 1 Winner: Chaotic

Match 2: 3v3

SWEEP! NOTHING TO SEE HERE!

Match 2 Winner: Chaotic

Match 3: 3v3

This one was pretty close too. This also involved massive explosions.

Match 3 Winner: Chaotic

Chaotic wins 3-0.
Kairyu loses 12 Pokemon.
Chaotic loses 7 Pokemon.

The match was still epic though.

Black Mage vs Icy

Icy and I have just finished our Gym Leader matches, and though we got off to a rough start the matches turned out to be extremely intense.

Battle Report:
Round 1 (6v6):
We started our first round, both knocking out two of each other's Pokemon when we were greeted by a disconnection. We decided to restart the match, and so:

Round 1 (6v6):
We decided to keep the leads the same, which ended up causing the first few turns of the battle to play out very similarly. The similarity ended there though, as Icy proceeded to decimate my tank. In an attempt to save the tank, I switched him out and here Icy pulled an extremely impressive prediction which decimated the newly switched Pokemon. Things were looking downhill for me most of the match, as Icy was not relenting. It came down to a lucky flinch in my favor, allowing me to cut short an impending sweep and pull out a very close victory.

Round 2 (3v3):
We both came out strong right from the get-go. I tried to sweep through, but was stopped by Icy's second Pokemon. When it came down to it, my Pokemon pulled a lucky start with the Quick Claw and ended up KOing Icy's last Pokemon.

Round 3 (3v3):
This round played out fairly similarly to the second round, only this time Icy had a surprise for me. Icy's second Pokemon decimated my first two, leaving me with just my last choice. He successfully plowed through, but was not prepared for the last Pokemon. Icy made a great choice with his move choice and ended this round with a swift victory.

Round 4 (3v3):
Icy and I both decided to change things up a bit in this round. Our initial choices, unlike most of our others, weren't dealing out any super effective moves this time around. Icy's lead, however, did a number on mine and I switched off. After KOing the first, Icy's second Pokemon came out. To be perfectly honest, I thought this match was over when Icy stopped one of my Pokemon cold. However, I lucked out and my Pokemon managed to survive, and dealt the final blow to Icy's last Pokemon.

Black Mage wins 3-1.
Icy loses 14 Pokemon.
Black Mage loses 7 Pokemon.

Great matches Icy! It's no surprise the matches were intense, especially considering the overlap of our types.

Alright, I think I could go for one more tonight, if anyone wants. If not, I'll be free pretty much any time after noon (EST) tomorrow, so if anyone wants a match just let me know.

Icy and I had our match not that long ago, with the matchup ending in victory for him, 3-0. The only thing I can boast about is... that I never got swept, I guess. Otherwise I was pretty much bested in most ways.

Results:

Match 1
Pretty unremarkable. We shuffled between two or three pokemon for the first half of the match, exchanging various status effects. The turning point was probably when I accidentally tried to inflict a status effect on a pokemon of his that was already statused!
I lost 6, Icy lost 2.

Match 2
The closest match, and I believe the longest. It appeared that he had only one pokemon that could effectively counter one of mine, but he got the job done.
I lost 3, he lost 1.

Match 3
Pretty uneventful. Brought back in the big gun he left out in the second match, and he finished the job the moment Icy switched him in.
I lost 3, he lost 1.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Hello slowly dying thread! Just checking up on everyone. How's everyone doing here? I haven't gotten to look through every report posted in here but from the looks of it things are moving well enough.

Out of the 10 players I'm supposed to fight, I've fought 7 already. This leaves:
-Generic Badass
-Crash Landon
-Xardion (?)

But I haven't heard or seen any activity from Xardion since the time he posted here. So unless someone knows he's still interested or can at least pass a message directly to him, I will cross out his name from the roster by monday.

I'd very much like to finish this tournament by the end of next week! And maybe start sign-ups again by mid-June, if everyone is ok with that.

Also, in case anyone is wondering when I'm available to battle. It probably won't be tomorrow (Sunday.) I will however be available to fight Monday through Friday, usually in the late afternoon to evening hours. Again my timezone is weird compared to most. -10hrs GMT to be exact.
I'll try to send out PMs ahead of time let you know if I can battle.

As far as my list goes:

Sousuke
Black Mage - Still need to fight. Priority match at this time.
DarkMageOzzie
Kairyu - Massive explosions.
Crash Landon
Generic Badass - Lost.
Xardion
Identity Crisis - Lost horribly.
radcliff13 - I wish to do a rematch against you. It didn't seem fair that you only had three Pokemon at the time.
Josiah

I'll see how much I can do this week. o_o Feel free to hit me up with a PM if you wanna battle. I'll see how well I could keep to a schedule. Sorry, BM. Busy as of lately.

So what are you planning for the next tournament, Kai? Normal stuff? More gym leader stuff? Or do we actually determine the GFF Pokemon League?

How ya doing, buddy?

I don't know if we can make a league out of this, we need more players for that =p
Right now, if this tournament is finished soon I may try a take two of this tournament. I'm sure some of us are itching to get a different type, unless you have a better idea!

Hmm... Ideas?

Might be complicated, but it's worth a shot. 15 boxes, containing names of three different Pokemon. Participants choose two boxes (or three if they want reserves again), and that will be their team for the tournament.

It could be as random as Salamance, Spinda, and Kakuna in one box, or Gengar, Abra, and Khangaskhan in another.

Dunno, just tossing up ideas. I have another, but it might be too overly complicated. <_<

That would be pretty random. And I mean that in a bad way xD. Mostly because these internet based tournaments tend to last weeks instead of a day or two. People might regret signing up after finding out he or she is stuck with a team of unusable and craptastic Pokemon. While someone else may get a team of OU/BL pokemon.

Though it is a good idea if this were done in, say, an actual building where we would meet for a day.

Why stop there? Let's do what the Sunset Colosseum did and randomly swap our best pokemon with everyone! Then battle it out and see who got lucky. Winner gets to keep the team, forever

Ok that's enough out of me, I'm stupid tired right now~ Again, everyone! Let's try to get our matches done. We don't have all summer, here.
