BIOS/Software problems
Ok before i state the problem i will put the facts
I just finished building a PC from scratch. 1. 865PE Neo2 MS-6728 (v1.X) ATX Motherboard (MKSI) 2. 1 512 DDR RAM (for now) 3. 2 Western Digital HDD's *WinXP is already one my master and the other is a slave 4. CD/DVD RW 5. Video Card (took it out of an old PC until my other one comes in) The problem I have is Windows will not start. It will bring me to the advance seclection where i could choose safe mode or wherever, but whatever i chose the system will restart itself. (This occured with my old HDD's which already had WinXP on it) So after this i decided to put a fresh Maxtor HDD inside of the PC and install a fresh copy of windows. Well it formatted the HDD fine and everything but after awhile a blue error came up saying something like Page Not Found On Unpaged...i don't remember the error code exactly but it was something like that. How can i fix this problem? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Alright, do this. Take out everything except the basic necessities (i.e. Ram, Hard Drive, etc). See if it runs. If so, then begin adding in things piece by piece until it goes nuts on you.
I would also suggest checking the temp of your computer. It may be overheating. Also, check that Ram! I had my computer once in a while restart, only to find out the type of Ram I got was "faster" than my computer could handle. Most amazing jew boots |
Well ok the ram is not the problem...its just acting up suddenly...i was able to go through with no failure this time but then suddenly I got another blue screen WHILE windows was installing
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Reseat everything on the motherboard and unplug/replug all cables going to drives and cards. Then format and install Windows. It would be that the Maxtor drive you're using is messed up, also. Try formatting the drive you originally tried to use with the system. In most cases you MUST re-install Windows with every new system you build, so I'm guessing that was your problem with the first hard drive.
If none of this solves your problem, you might have a bad stick of RAM. RMA it if you can, and if not, you're going to have to keep it and buy a new set or stick. Also, what power supply are you using? Most amazing jew boots

Using a regular P4 power supply...Actually right now i found something wierd out...
WHen my ribbon cables are plugged in...my HDD's and DVD Rom does not have any power to them...yet when I unplug the ribbon cable and keep the power cable in...everything is spinning...I don't get it no more...I'm getting really frustrated I was speaking idiomatically. |
What are the specs of the power supply?
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |

It always happens AFTER the format reaches 99% then BOOM...gives me a error and I cannot get past it or anything... FELIPE NO

Reason: Automerged double post.

Try seeing if you can download a Linux liveCD (such as Knoppix) from another computer and burn it; see if it will, at the very least, mount the NTFS volumes. The original error you mentioned in your first post sounds like the pagefile got screwed up, which requires you to disable and re-enable the pagefile to fix (in most cases). What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Well how do I use this...I see its an ISO but nothing is giving me a download link and the PC i'm using right now is not mine to get bittorent files or such and such...
So a link would be very helpful and a little incite on how this Knoppix works. Also what if this doesn't work...Why is WinXP not formatting them anyways only stopping at 99% exactly Most amazing jew boots |
Knoppix (and other LiveCDs) are, basically, Linux... installs that run entirely off the CD media that they're on. So, they stick nothing on your hard drives and run entirely from RAM, loading what's needed (unless, for most, you specify 'toram' at boot). Again, basically, it's an operating system that runs entirely off the CD it's burned to. Most amazing jew boots |
Sounds nice...hopefully this works...but can somebody provide a link to a working download
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Ok i thought about this
How about me putting my original HDD as a slave inside of someone's else PC to format it through windows...then put the jumper back as a master HDD inside of my PC and let windows do its thing? I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
