Curtains, can i buy them online?

Just what the title says, plus, recommend me some good sites to browse, the local linen shops here are HORRIBLE, they have very faded/old-looking colors and OLD styles. In fact, almost ANY fabric sold in egypt looks faded and old, it's like a fucking disease with these fucks..

Anyway, recommend me some good sites that have pretty curtains, i need some colorful stuff to gay up the living room, it just looks so dry and colorless.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

why don't you just make them yourself? They aren't that hard to make, its in no way as hard as sewing clothes. plus then you can pick out your own fabric, etc.

=] i mean, if you are going as gay as getting nice curtains, might as well go the distance and go super gay and make your own!

There's nowhere I can't reach.

LOL, you know what, i just might ..

But what i actually meant was the fabric itself, i need to shop for that too online, i want simple stuff, like stuff sold at IKEA, only there's no IKEA in Alexandria, Egypt, so i dunno..

Anyone?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Believe it or not, Amazon actually sell curtains... or at least Amazon UK do. Try whichever Amazon domain is willing to ship to north Africa.

That's what I was going to say. There are PLENTY of sites out there from which you can purchase curtains. It's just a matter of who is local to you in Egypt, or who will ship to you in Egypt (and at what cost).

I imagine an American/UK site would charge an arm and a leg to ship to Egypt.

Alternately, if you know a woman (or man, I guess) with a steady hand and a sewing machine, pick out some fabrics and have her/him make some for you. Curtains are likely one of the easiest things to whip up on a sewing machine (or even by hand, if you're diehard old-fashioned and have the patience of a fucking saint)

How ya doing, buddy?

Do you even need a sewing machine to make curtains? A rod, a big piece of fabric, some scissors, and a stapler and you're done. Oh man, forget the rod even. You could nail fishing line to the wall, stretching across the top of the window, then drape your black {or camouflage} fabric over the line, staple it so that it stays up, and voila, you now have some of the manliest curtains you can get.

I know what I'm doing when I get home this evening.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
I didn't say I wouldn't go fishin' with the man.
All I'm sayin' is, if he comes near me, I'll put him in the wall.

!!!!

Ok, all very useful, but i want it to look properly nice, so it needs the rod and sewing.

By the way, Sass, we use a service here called "Aramex" which gives us a PO Box in both the US and UK, then it ships the stuff to us for a pretty small fee, it's a god send when you wanna buy stuff like video games and accessories, o plus music instruments.
And like i said, fabric IS the main problem, local fabrics look really ugly and old. And that's supposed to be in a country that has the best cotton in the world. Go figure :S

I'll take your advice and look at Amazon right now, Soluzar. Thanks all, if anyone remembers any more sites/ideas please do tell.

With all due respect, lurker, i could've done that easily (and in fact i have). But thanks.

What i'm looking for is a recommendation, perhaps something you've tried, someone you know did, you know?

Jam it back in, in the dark.
