RE4 isn't scary at all.

It does have some tense moments here and there. But you'll probably be having too much fun blasting things to notice.

Definitely. All those other posts was to show what's actually freaky, and what's... an action title.

WELL THEN, I'M FUCKING SOLD!

Except that its still selling for $50 right now at your friendly neighbourhood Walmart, which I think is a rip off considering it's only a port from the GC.

Of course it's superior.

Of course I'm not going to spend another $100 on a console just to play ONE game, unless it's SUPER TOKYO DENSHA CONDUCTOR SYSTEM FIVE.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Trust me, just play Resident Evil 4. In my opinion, it isn't scary at all. I'd never play a game like Silent Hill and even Resident Evil 0-3 were serious business, but Resident Evil 4 is mainly shooting some enemies. Even those regenerators aren't too scary, since you can kill them from a safe distance. With your sniper rifle, they won't even touch you.

I just posted that image to give Spatula an idea of what can be done in the game. So in a way you are right, that section was omitted from the game but partially. Once you pass through the sewers after chatting with Salazar and making your way pass those huge blades, you come across a mini cutscene of Los Illuminados chanting, morir es vivir which I find quite hilarious and catchy. Toss a flash grenade and jump down, while they are blinded momentarily make your way to the exit where the typewriter is and the door will shut closed. Whip out that Rocket Launcher and have a blast.

But I love taking them on with that only. I just use the special weapons for speed runs. For fun, I just buy the normal weapons and use those and the knife. In the PS2 version, I use the gangster outfit because the knife is a bit more stronger than Leon's default knife due to the knife change with the gangster outfit. The knife in that outfit looks more like a butterfly knife.

Post

Well after completing the game more than 8X, you're really have to get it out of your system before locking it away for months. I do hope the PC version that will be out soon has all the extras and more that the GC version didn't get.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Why is Resident Evil 4 being compared to the likes of Silent Hill or Fatal Frame?

Okay, so last question is how easy is it to deal with those helluva freak Regenerators? I think those monsters will only be my main concern for "freaky scary" factor in the game as whole.

Once you shoot thier limbs off and see them hopping like frogs that'll all go away. RE4 is just a tense game which actually isn't scary but don't keep your guard down. RE5 picks up where RE4 left off and the trailer looks quite promising if it's any indication of what to except from the undead.

It was too bad that Regenerators and Iron Maidens only ever appeared in the main game, with Leon, and only sparsely. I was really hoping for a room full of Regenerators in the main game, or at least a mission in Mercs that only involves the more 'elite' enemies in the game (Regs, Iron Maidens, Armoured Garradors, and Super Salvadors).

There's nowhere I can't reach.

AH so its like when you first see them you say, "ZOMG WTF!" but when you start laying waste taking off their legs, you say, "LEGS GO WHERE? LOLOLOL"

Okay not so scary after all I guess. This sometimes helps me whenever I'm fighting a pretty freak foe in those FPS games.

CONFIDENCE +5 Points.
