Question Good Genealogy softwares/freewares?

Hi guys, in some few days I will return to my home and want to start investigating the genealogy of my family. I wonder if someone have good recommended software for genealogy? At the moment I'm using Simple Family Tree, though it's good and pretty ease use, I need program that could export the family tree into good graphical output (let's say html)

Any recommendation?

Jam it back in, in the dark.
You all think you got good deals, huh? Ha! You frugal and observant shoppers have more to learn.

None of that approaches this:

The Mr. Methane CD, purchased over ebay for .01¢. Yeah, free shipping. This guy performs all sorts of neat stuff, including the doot doot, doot doot from the Blue Danube.

Allow me to share a track from this CD. Here ya go.
I think he should have paid you .01¢ instead.

There's a comparison table up on the Wiki: Comparison of genealogy software - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Good chance at least a few of them will offer some good exporting options. I looked up the most recent one listed (Brother's Keeper) and that did provide for some visual charting.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

thanks for information, I will check it out then

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I can't remember what it's called exactly, but I have heard that the software the Mormon Church sells is far superior to everything else out there. The only drawback to it is that there are all these extra options for temple sealings, baptisms for the dead, other weird shit like that. It's worth looking into though.

That'd probably be Personal Ancestral File you're talking about. You can get it for free here. It also has an optional addon called PAF Companion with a basic package that's also free to download. Upgrading to the full version of PAF Companion does cost money, but it's really cheap, like $6.75 or something like that. Hope that helps.

I was speaking idiomatically.
