![]() I gotta say, the warioware stage is the greatest thing ever. I just wish they allowed us to put any of the game's music on any of the stages. Instead, you ahve to adjust how often certain songs appear for each stage. ![]() This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |

I'm still in the "unlocking all characters" portion of my game, and when I'm done, I'll go through and add all the new Brawl codes for people.
So far the hardest thing in the game has been unlocking Jigglypuff. What a fucking bitch! I think I have all the characters except for Wolf and Toon Link. I was speaking idiomatically.

<@a_lurker> There, I said it, I'm not taking it back. |
More or less unlocked everyone (sans Wolf) which was the only sensitive info I cared about, so I figure I'll take myself off this self-imposed Brawl info blackout. Hurrah.
Spent most of my Brawl time so far on SSE (I think my play time was 8 hours something) and a couple of events (1-20) and stadium activities. Still haven't played a single Brawl yet, but I have next week off so I hope I'll get some Wi-fi play in starting this weekend. No clue how my connection will be, but I hope it'll be sufficient for regional matchups at least. I thought the game would be awkward to control since I don't have a GCN controller, but the Wiimote+nunchuk combination is actually pretty comfortable except for the fact that my right hand fingers start getting sore after a while. It's a bit annoying having to change the player name each time because I adjusted the controls, but that's a small inconvenience for wireless + rumble capability. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
Finally unlocked everyone (damn Wolf was a bitch to unlock). Then I realized you can't copy over data to an SD card, so I gotta do everything all over again on my brother's Wii so he can play it as well.
How ya doing, buddy? |
So I went through and added everyone on the Wiki page, plus a few from this thread (Temari and Lacerta). So far the only authorized friend I have is Kairyu, though. How long does it take for friends to be recognized? =/ What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Once they have it on their list? A good majority of the people I added on the first day registered the moment I had put in their friend code in.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I have not bothered to get on WFC to add anyone yet so that is my response. I will start adding the whole lot of you (although it will get hard to keep track of some of the people with the limit on names and all that) though in a few minutes.
On the topic of WFC, I was slightly amused by random complaints on various forums about how Options and Spectator are not showing up in WFC. It says quite clearly in the instruction manual that they will not always be available (and after numerous battles with Nintendo someone confirmed that if the server is heavily stressed those options are disabled for some to try to cut the load). Although that was not the part that amused me. The part that did was the solution: "Delete your data and the options will appear" There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I don't see the big deal about Spectator Mode anyway... Tried it once, won 84 coins after betting on a Fox vs. Ness match. I bet on Fox for the match. The sad part was, however, the person playing Ness didn't know how to recover using PK Thunder. I just see him launch it and see the PK Thunder flying upwards while he falls down off the arena. :|
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Damn me for being in Hawaii. When I can play at night, no one's available. ;_;

I just added you Guru, so it should change sometime soon hopefully.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
What a fun 3 hours I just spent (instead of studying ._.) I've finally unlocked all the characters~ Toon Link gave me the most trouble though. Somehow he could always get the smash ball at the very last second!
I also completed most the event levels on normal, completed All-Star Mode on normal and registered a bunch more gffers I saw in the wiki =D And I updated the gfwiki page with the following members as well as adding them to my friends list: Mo0 5284-1108-5060 Lacerta 1590-4373-2368 (LACE) Sparhawke 5026-4155-4640 (Spar) Temari 3566-1231-8762 That's enough of Brawl for one night. Hopefully I will fight the lot of you by this weekend.

Added myself to the wiki since it seems when I posted my code it got lost among the other posts.
![]() Spectator mode is fun to watch when I'm taking a break or eating. I don't think the quality of play (or coins earned via betting) is really that great, but all I need it for is a distraction. Most amazing jew boots ![]() |
I finally beat SSE last night. My sister has been playing it while I was at work but I played last night to help her out since there wasn't anyone playing online when I checked. My sister had stopped midway through The Great Maze (I HATE that place) and it was bloody tedious to get through! I hate the ol' 'fight every boss again' routine >_>
I ended up going to bed at 1am (WAY past my bedtime, sadly) 'cause I really wanted to get WW Link ASAP. Unfortunately, he kicked my ass (on more than one occasion I may add), and he even kicked my sister's ass (after she laughed at me 'cause I couldn't beat him and tried it herself). What's the best way to beat him? Is there any character that would have an easier time beating him? :( Love the stage though! Also, can someone please tell me how to get Luigi's Mansion stage? :( A FAQ said you're supposed to beat Classic on easy with anyone to get it, but I did that and I didn't get it. I wannnnt that staaaage :( P.S. I'll send random people pictures from time to time ^_^ Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]()

*edit* beaten to the answer.
Most amazing jew boots |
All characters and stages, all events (most on easy though since I'm lazy), & 84% SSE on normal difficulty as of yesterday evening. I raped Brawl.
I also have about 3/4 of the music tracks. 100+ trophies and 100+ stickers. I guess I'll focus on getting music and finishing SSE today. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
I've got like 94% of SSE done. The hidden stuff is just not in any location I can find after going through levels several times. I think I might just wait for a faq. I need to unlock all the stages.

Some of the stages are really tricky.
Subspace Bomb Factory: *In room with spinning platforms (The Ferris Wheels), hop on the spring at the top and attack when you go off screen to break an orange box. *Before the fight with the boss in the last downward scrolling area, there is a trophy hiding in the lower right corner of the Gate that spews Mites. It depends on what the stage is, there is one stage (I keep forgetting the darn name because I do not want to see SSE for a day or two) with the floating mines, you have to destroy one of the mines when it is at the peak, thus blowing up the ceiling and revealing another trophy. I am WAY behind of this, but I discovered the Sound Test and my GOD this game is a VGM-lover's wettest dream. My favorite tracks so far are EASILY the Dark World from LTTP, Main Theme from Star Fox, Gourmet Race, Metaknight's Revenge, and Step: Subspace.
I mean... unf. This game pulls absolutely no punches in the audio department. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
So I just tried some online Smash yesterday. First things first, is the service somewhat slow at times? At best, all of my inputs happen a half second later. At worst, the game literally slows down (to like 20 frames per second). I also found it taking a while to actually get a game going, as far as finding people to play against.
I'll put my friend code up when I get back. I wrote it down earlier. I also can't seem to sign up for the Wiki, so if somebody could add mine there for me, that'd be great. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I followed Tails' advice and set my Wii to connect to my router in DMZ mode. And I have to say, the connection showed MUCH improvement. If you've got a router and you're not using a DMZ for anything, I suggest you give your Wii a static IP and set it to DMZ. It's a lot nicer.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
As far as finding people, you're even lucky if you manage to find someone these days because the servers are so overloaded. Ironically for me, the matches I do get into are usually the most lag free games I've played without that half-second delay. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
