Oh fuck taking your sweet old time. I wanted characters and I wanted them now.

I'll probably be online from 12:30pm - 2:45pm EST later today if anyone wants a battle. I'll probably use my Wi-Fi connector to get a connection running on my computer just so I don't have to deal with my crap ass router.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

It sucks having a job

I'm going to try and hop online tonight when I get home, but no promises... I have added just about everybody to my roster, so hopefully we can engage in some ass-kickery later.

Added some of the friend codes in here to the Wiki. I also added my GamerTag name thingy next to my friend code. I might go through the thread and add them to everyone, just so I know who I'm fighting later on. <_<

Are you talking about forum time, or a specific timezone, because either way I'd like to have a match against you.

How ya doing, buddy?

Oh, EST. I'll add you on once I get home. I'm up for a battle. Either way, we fall in the same time zone.

I fear loss.

So who's tried some of the new characters? I've grown quite fond of Meta Knight and I'm actually pretty badass with Squirtle. Still haven't even scratched the surface of unlockables, but I'm looking forward to trying out Snake and Sonic, in particular.

I absolutely love playing as Ike. Probably the first sword guy I've actually liked in any Smash Bros. game.

Although, he probably won't be my main, I'll definitely work with him.

Wolf is probably gonna be my main. He's a pretty good fighter and pretty powerful. His Up+B is a lot better than I thought since you could actually adjust the direction on it.

I'm actually surprised about Olimar and how well he could fight. SmashWiki might give him a lot of cons, but it's mostly dependent on the user. I like playing as him. Fun character to use.

PT is cool to use. I rarely use Squirtle though. I'm more using Ivysaur and Charizard. More Ivysaur though. Powerful bastard he is.

I dunno how well it works out against a decent opponent, but I found Squirtle's Up+B move to be pretty beastly when timed right. I'm still trying to figure out how best to use Charizard, though. It's feeling like he's just no good on the ground, but I'm not very good at air combat. Well, not with a slow guy like Charizard, anyway.

The only problem with Pokemon Trainer is that Squirtle keeps reminding me of Conan O'Brian's Vomiting Kermit bit, especially the way he yells his name. That, and you guys weren't kidding; PKMN Trainer sounds like he smokes 4 packs a day. Gravelliest teenager ever.

How the hell do you even switch Pokemon as the trainer? Unless you can't switch them in SSE mode, I'm finding myself unable to switch em up.

Ike is pretty good, but I still prefer Marth. Ike seems a bit slower than that of Marth.

Link is, and always will be, my main guy.

I've been playing Ike as my main so far. Been doing ok with using him. Snake is getting some time to get used to, like his side smash, and Meta Knight is nice as well.

Meta Knight, I've found, is extremely rewarding to use once you figure out all his nuances. His Up+B will let you float a pretty great distance as long as you know how to stay in control, and his B special is a beast if you rapidly tap the button. Plus, he's just a straight-up badass

lol sprout it's just d+B! I couldn't switch out of Squirtle in SSE either.
I also agree with taking time unlocking characters! I want to savour the adventure and simply don't have enough consecutive hours available to invest.

For the SSE and to answer about switching pokemon within it :

Spoiler:
As you progress on, you have to fight against Ivysaur and Charizard in order to be able to use them in the story.

I savoured the adventure on Normal mode, now it's just a test to beat it on Hard, Very Hard, and Intense.

(Easy too but who cares about Easy mode ;p)

Almost done with all of Event mode, the Challenge wall is looking a little more clear now.

Some of those Events are just flat out rigged, especially on Hard where you die in 2~3 hits.

Yeah I tried Down+B and nothing worked! Bastards! Thanks for clearing that up, Kagoshin

And how about that music? MY GOD! IGN wasn't kidding when they said that this may be one of the best video game soundtracks ever.

Yeppers, Up+B with Squirtle is due for some serious abuse in the near future I believe. I feel like its area of attack is just too huge that most of the big characters are going to get sucked into it. I'm on the fence with the other two Pokemon, but Ivysaur seems like he could be useful. Charizard is a bit too slow for me (I'm a Pikachu player mainly) so it might take some adjustment, although he's definitely the power in the group.

I still have no damn idea how Olimar actually works. I have some Pikmin, then I lose some Pikmin...I'll give him a try in practice mode eventually.

Edit: Of course, after I post this, the next stage I play in SSE is the Olimar one (yes, I'm that far behind also). Guess I'll have to learn.

It was the Landmaster's fault I make a lot of silly mistakes all the time, which is fatal for my poor Lucas ;_;
Haha, I should consider using the Nunchuck, but the Wiimote is so convenient~

You're using the Wiimote? o_o

I'm slightly annoyed at the Flat Zone 2 battle with Olimar and Zelda. I would've had you if I didn't die in the last five seconds. ;_; And fucking fireball.

It was fun battling you though.

And why the hell does everyone wanna get good with Lucas?!

Haha, I thought you were playing with me there because you just kept Pikmin calling at the start of SD which led to a Din's Fire explosion. :3
A couple of the those matches I got some voicemail I had to check which would explain my inactivity and distraction. I think I got that Smash ball a bit too much with PK Thunder. Might as well though, since even after I get it, PK Starstorm would be free hits on me on the larger stages.

EVERYONE gets the Smash Ball with PK Thunder. You AND CN's brother.

You have no idea how annoying it is to have the Smash Ball right next to you ready for the destrcution, then have it suddenly taken away by a fly-by PK Thunder. ;_;

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I too am feeling the same thing... Hard is fine, but there are some points where I wish it was just a bit easier. Plus I want to unlock these characters without too much trouble. Oh well, I'm up for a challenge.
