How come I get subscribed automatically?

Certain thread I post in. I don't remember manually subscribing to the thread myself, but when I go to my user CP, it appears as subscribed. The thread has a checked box next to it as well.

Check the options you have selected in the CP, you probably have it set up to automatically do so. At least for me, it will subscribe once I actually post in a thread...

Can't recall if that is the default setting however.

I don't think it'll subscribe once I posted. I've posted in many threads, and not all are included. Also, in my CP, he option to auto subscribe is unchecked/turned off.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

This happened to me once as well, a thread appeared in my subscribed threads list out of nowhere. After removing it, I realized I didn't even know how to subscribe to threads. I noticed the box you can tick when posting, but is there supposed to be way to subscribe to a thread without posting in it? Never mind, there's the button. I kept looking lower on the Thread Tools list to where the moderation options are.

I eventually figured I had ticked the "subscribe to thread" box accidentally or my keyboard did it for me through some miracle (tab, or some other freaky key combinations)
