I dunno, I got Super Metroid and Paper Mario. Whilst, yes, it's noticable in Paper Mario, Metroid runs smooth as all hell.
I was speaking idiomatically. All I'm saying is that if the laptops of the future are not in the
shape of chibi genie girls then I'm going to be sorely disappointed. |
It's still an all time classic. I have a fairly large collection of VC games including Pokémon Snap, Mario Kart 64, Lylat Wars, Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Gunstar Super Heroes, Streets of Rage 2, Street Fighter 2 Bomberman '2 and proabbly a few more I can't remember right now. All of these games are more than playable. Hell I'd argue that the N64 games are all superior versions. Maybe you should stop being a bitching child Elixir, get away from the ROMS and start paying for quality VC downloads. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Rolling Thunder 2 was quite fun; bonus points for the music-test mode featuring a band comprised of SD synthetics. Cybernator (why this was changed from Assault Suits Valken is beyond me) also makes my recommended list.
Oh, and seeing as someone flubbed the opportunity to bring current-gen a proper Shadowrun RPG - come on, with games like Deus Ex, KOTOR, and Mass Effect as examples, I find it hard to believe that the best Microsoft and FASA could come up with was basically Counter-Strike with magecraft and cybertech - I for one say it's time for a blast from the past. Specifically, the SNES Shadowrun RPG. FELIPE NO |
Was this mentioned already? I can't find out if it plugs into the Gamecube port or the Wii controller. If it plugs into the Wii controller, well, that's just awesome. Official SNES controller, wireless, for VC games.
There's a few good PAL VC games like Sin & Punishment but ahahahaha "quality VC downloads" What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Are you talking about that club nintendo super famicom wii controller? That uses the Wii controller. I preordered 2 of them a while ago. I hope I get them.
Most amazing jew boots |
Where did you preorder them from? I was waiting for Play-Asia to open theirs, but if there's somewhere else, do tell. I'll just use them instead.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
![]() "Have you played Valken on SNES?" "Sure haven't, but what's this! I'll just get it on PS2, it's gotta be better, right?" *Slow motion head shake of disapproval* Also I hear HARVEST MOON is on the PAL VC. The original is still the best somehow, and they release like thirty new ones every month. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Ah damn NCSX is where I preordered mine and their preorders are now closed. Sorry lix. ![]() How ya doing, buddy? |
Today the Americas get...
- Star Tropics (NES, 500 Wii points). - The King of Fighters 94 (Neo Geo, 900 Wii points). Too damn bad I'm unemployed and only have 700 Wii Points, I can't aford KOF 94 ;__; Why did I have to quit my job!? I was speaking idiomatically. Return to Crystal Lake... ![]() My Wii Friend Code 1942-4227-2974-0276 |
Oh damn! Star Tropics. Finally an NES game that I actually want (well besides Bubble Bobble).
How ya doing, buddy? |
I've never played Star Tropics and know almost nothing about it, other than people love it. Sounds like something I'll have to download.
FELIPE NO |
I would probably download put I already got the nes cartridge for it, so I think I'll be going for KOF 94. I've been showing an interest into the KOF series lately since getting KOF 11. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]()

Wait a minute...only two games this week? Well there was that one time when a Zelda game was the only one released, so which one counts as two games?
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I need something new and I've heard good things about Star Tropics... Unless there's a convincing reason why I should get it, I'm probably gonna be meh about this week's update... We need Tetris Attack... Now. :|
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
How ya doing, buddy?

Some Mischief Makers would be nice too. The VC is no stranger to sweet Treasure luv! Man, I need a job. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? Return to Crystal Lake... ![]() My Wii Friend Code 1942-4227-2974-0276 |
I probably would buy Startropics but oh god hello failure US only. I wonder how people will deal with the 747 part of the game. I was speaking idiomatically. |
I wonder how they plan on dealing with those who have never played before and how they are gonna get past the "Dunk the manual in water" bit.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I read that the code is in the "Operations Manual" on the Wii version. I can't imagine how they'd disguise it other than to say, "This is the code you need at X point in the game."
FELIPE NO |
I remember buying Star Tropics used at a game store. It did not come with the manual. Or the map. Was just a little frustrated at that part of the game.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Part of me hopes they release Smash Bros (Original) before Brawl to help spark interest.
Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
Seeing as how they released Mario 3 to help spark interest towards Mario Galaxy, I don't see why they wouldn't do the same for Smash.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
For your DS, Planet Puzzle League is Panel de Pon. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
Or for your GBC there's Pokemon Puzzle Challenge. There was also a Tetris Attack for the gameboy, but it was terrible since you couldn't do any sort of skill chains.
(Why do I own all of these.) How ya doing, buddy? |
King of Fighters '94!! That's a retro gem, especially considering I've only played every KoF from '97 onwards. It'll be a very interesting comparison to see how Athena (and everyone else of course) has radically changed from their first incarnations, especially compared to XI. Too bad not many people seem to like the KoF series though
