I would've chosen Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner as my free game, but...
You, sir, have done a mistake. As the Dutchman said, GO BACK.

Back on topic I just picked up Halo 3. A local internet retailer had the Limited Collectors Edition cheaper than usual, and since I haven't played poop Halo since those 30 minutes spent on the first one when it came around, I wanted to give it a shot.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I would've chosen Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner as my free game, but it was too late before I realized it was there. Until next time...

I'll probably do that some time this week.

Probably the only reason I'm not worrying right now is because the Gamestop I found it at has so many used PS2 games. Since there's so many, they usually get lost under the mess that is crappy games over there.

Speaking of which, I'm gonna get it tomorrow. For only $24.99, it's all worth it.

Awesome! I will be going to Gamestop tomorrow as well, but for different reasons. Yes the gamestop I frequent usually have PS2 Games used up the ASS, plus a lot of Xbox Games. the GC Selection is smaller, but hopefully I'll find something.

God, ZOE2 is such an awesome game. I think I'll play it right now, actually.

All I've done recently is pre-ordered Metal Gear Solid 4 and Soul Calibur IV.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Do you need to play ZoE 1 to get ZoE 2? Story means a lot to me, and I really would love to play those games because I never have. But yea anyway...should I get 2 if I see it at a gamestop?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Now, see, I don't know what this feels like, because I own four copies of the game, including the European Special Edition and Premium Package. <3
Why am I not joking.

Actually that's another game I forgot to mention in my previous post. I bought Zone of the Enders 2: Special Edition off someone in the UK. It was $50, which is fantastic, considering its rarity. The case and manual are in perfect condition, and the game is flawless (oh, I was talking about the disc, but either way works.)

ZoE 2's really that good? =o I liked what gameplay the first one had (all two hours of it), but the corny storyline and whinging Shinji clone made me pretty flaccid.

I never saw much point in buying ZoE2 considering it was easy to beat in one rental. It was longer than the first one and a fantastic game, but there just wasn't enough of it. Needed more opportunities to use the teleporting especially.

Replay the game as Naked Jehuty and you'll have all the Zero Shift opportunities you could possibly ask for.

Not to mention there's still a fair amount of stuff to collect over, at the least, two playthroughs. You have to fight/defeat the more noteworthy Frames to unlock them in Versus mode.

The catch is you have to fight Jehuty Ver. 2 with Naked Jehuty, and then vice versa, and you can only do that in separate runs through the game.

Or you can use a GameShark, whatev.

I picked up Crackdown on 360 for £5 the other week, mainly to play it online with Kaze. It's a really fun game, especially multiplayer, with hundreds of achievements. I imagine it's a little short, we pretty much finished the first gang off in my first session but we didn't do much exploring and you can always replay on harder settings.

There's loads of cheap copies about too after so many people bought it just to play the H3 beta so I'd recommend it to someone who wants a slightly silly action game, especially if they have someone to play multiplayer with.

Okay I have to ask. What do you do for a living? I mean buying a console at the end of the year for a Christmas Present (As I and others have done) is one thing, but you seem to have an endless supply of rare and PAL / J-NTSC Copies of games I never even considered about getting. It just boggles the mind.

... but hey if you wanna collect em' all, go for it.

It's freaking awesome. Imagine the gameplay from ZoE1 but ten times better, add to that awesome cel shaded graphics and wonderful effects, awesome weapons and all

No really, it's just so much better than ZOE1 in my opinion. And I loved the first one. The story is nothing near as corny either.

I think I have to replay this game tonight
This got me going.

I just got The King of Fighters XI. I've heard that it is the best KOF game since '98. I'd say they were both about even. I love the character selection. Gai Tendo is awsome. I'm just glad it finally came out in North America. It was totally worth the $15.

Alrighty. For all the sappy bastards who said it was a mistake for me not to pick ZoE2 up, I just picked it up today. Here's me with the copy in my hand.

ZOMG.:

I was shocked to find that the disc was in perfect condition when I bought it, so that's always nice to have a perfect disc at used price. Haven't tried it yet, but I can't wait to pop it in.

Awesome. Too bad the game isn't very appreciated much.

I had to pick elders scroll obvilion for 20 bucks... boring as hell so far. Not my type
Yeah. Well, the best part is that like about 5% of RD's characters also gets admitted to Brawl. Which we know of so far;
- Ike
- Sothe (as an Assist Trophy). Though I wish he was a regular New Comer fighter instead.

Still though, I like this game. And is a breath of fresh air of Wii Sports.

How ya doing, buddy?

I picked up Call of Duty 4 last week, and the game's been proving to be extremely fun. Having never played any Call of Duty games before, and getting this based off of how insanely fun the MP Beta was, I think it was a great buy. I also went and took advantage of a deal at Best Buy and got Assassin's Creed for $40. Despite the AI being dumb as bricks (lol climbing walls in plain view of everyone "Is he crazy...? Oh well."), the game itself is incredibly fun. All of the open-ended exploration makes me think I'll be playing it for quite some time.

Next on my list is Burnout.

I recently picked up Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings for DS, and well... I have to say I'm slightly disappointed. As PRETTY as the game is, I just can't really get into it. I've finished the first chapter, and it seems like all I'm doing is sending my characters to attack, then constantly waiting to summon new Espers when they die.

It also feels a lot like a strategy game [à la Starcraft/Warcraft], and I always sucked at those...

The other recent title I picked up is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All. I got the second one [reluctantly] as I couldn't find the first, and I've been pretty much addicted. It's great so far, and I'll probably pick up the others in the series as I come across them.

Others on the list though, are most likely Super Mario Galaxy, and Smash Bros. Brawl when it finally comes out.

I've been going insane looking for it. I guess I should be happy a SNK game actually sold out everywhere around here. As far as my recent purchases:

In the span of 2 months really

360 - Call of Duty 4, Guitar Hero 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, The Orange Box

PS3 - Unreal Tournament 3, Eye of Judgement

PC - Phantasy Star Universe expansion pack (forget the name)

Now that my schedule is much shorter, I'll have more time for all this crap!

Oh, it's been a while since I posted in this thread.

Let's see... for my birthday, I received a copy of Growlanser: Heritage of War. I put it on my list because it came in that spiffy limited edition packaging, and if I missed out on that, I'd be kicking myself later regardless of how good the game was. I'm playing it now, and it's fairly enjoyable. Not amazing, but after I finally got used to everything, it's entertaining enough. And the extra stuff looks cool! I like extra stuff with games.

Last month, I came across a copy of Ikaruga for the Gamecube while killing time in a game store. I did a double take, realized it was Ikaruga, then realized I had no money to buy it with at the time. I shoved the case behind some similar colored game cases that weren't popular games, and prayed it would be there. I came back with money three days later, and it was still sitting in its hiding spot. So, I own Ikaruga now. I can get through the first level with no problem now, and usually the second, but that third level is a killer.

I also got a copy of Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 for the Game Boy Color from someone who plans to never play it again, which was pretty cool. Dragon Warrior for the NES is the only game in the DQ series I've played, and though I understand this is more like a Pokemon game, it'll be fun to see if I catch any references to the main series that were present in the first game here.

I bought this!

The TV's really nice -- great picture and sound quality. It's the first HDTV I've owned, and I went with a brand I trusted. LG has exceptionally high quality for a better price than Sony or Samsung, so I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I bought it from Best Buy as an open item deal, so I got a good chunk knocked off the price and bought the in-store warranty for it. Didn't come with a table stand though, sadly. Bought a wall mount for it and it's doing well. I'm just nervous it's gonna tear outta the wall and break. ; ;

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yeah. Flipping channels certainly is an entertaining game.
It is! Some channels feature sports games, others have gripping mysteries, there's comedy platformers, and even some sci-fi RPGs.

C-SPAN even adds that educational niche market.

For the serious half of this post, I mentioned in my journal, but I'll say it here too: I picked up Super Smash Bros Melee [GC] and Crackdown [Xbox 360] both on the cheap, as well as a Classic Controller [Wii].
