I don't think the attacks would be affected from the different costumes. So if there is Dr. Mario, I'm assuming he'd have the same stats.

Yes, please do something Inafune...beg for Megaman to be put in Brawl and delay it even more. Actually, I wouldn't mind if they did an update to apologize for the delay like they did with Sonic.

I doubt that they're gonna delay the game further. Just think of the fans in Japan and North America. They'd be pretty angry to know that Brawl's getting another delay. It's not just about you guys.
Besides, I think Brawl's pretty much gone Golden. With it's Japanese release within mere weeks in January 24th and the U.S on February 10th. They just need to add the finishing touches. Getting more modes to adding the final character of it's starting roster etc... Tuesday Update - Sonic Final Smash When talking about Sonic’s Final Smash, there is no other option than Super Sonic! Use the power of the Chaos Emeralds to transform. Race through the air at reckless speed!  Get the Smash Ball!  Now I’ll show you!  Haaaaaaaaahhhhh! He has tremendous inertia and is hard to control, but his top speed is top class! Those who are witnessing this move should plan on dodging!  Whoa! Hold on!  I won’t take it! If you boost your speed recklessly, you’ll pass by people too quickly, making it easier for them to dodge. Speed control is important with this Final Smash.  And it’s over. I can't wait to see the Sonic the Hedgehog stage.
Maybe with the New Year hitting we'll get a slew of updates at the very start. Maybe they won't tell us all the additions of the game either...there could be like...20 secret characters and obviously if they tell us they won't be very secret now will they. I was speaking idiomatically.  |

The Final Smash was old news, but never confirmed on the site I guess.

As for the character update. It's pretty much been spoilers up to this point. Reason why they're holding back is that they probably don't want to reveal a whole lot, not until the Japanese version has been out. Or even close to the Japanese date at least.

Oh man, Jun Senoue equals fucking win. Not only are they keeping the Live and Learn theme in there but this version of Angel Island Zone is awesome! It sounds like something the Minibosses or the Black Mages would come up with. Now if Mr. Senoue would just make one for Final Boss from Sonic 3 and Knuckles and put it in the game, it would be golden.
Now you have to wonder what stage, if any, from the Sonic series would be included in Brawl. I'd jump straight to Green Hill Zone because who wouldn't expect that. If something is used from Secret Rings, it will be deselected from the random stage. And since I couldn't resist, I wanted to use my own variation of the update. Spoiler:

On the day of the Japanese release, the update will be as follows:
Sakurai laughs, says the game is out in Japan and that us silly Americans will have to wait a few weeks to play it. "No more updates for you! Mwahahaha!" There's nowhere I can't reach. |

That's a point, has anyoen riped the music off the updates? The best attempt I saw got up to I think the MGS4 update.

If they're showing off stuff we've seen in the other trailers (Sonic's Final Smash for instance), what are the odds of other Assist Trophies, such as the Advance Wars guys, showing up for a proper Japan Time reveal?

It'll be interesting to see how long/if Sakurai continues doing updates past the Japanese release (will he continue until the European one? Doubt it, heh). In any case, after the Japanese release, updates will be fairly frivolous. How ya doing, buddy? |

Well, as with most of you guys. I'm hoping for a new character update. IMO either FE's Boyd or Capcom's Mega Man (preferably X), instead of MM's normal body armor. But, I bet we'll probably receive another menu, stage or item update ^^;.
Or perhaps G.S' Isaac or F-ZERO's Capt. Falcon. Update: December 26th - Trophy Stands Among the many trophies are some representing the enemies that appear in The Subspace Emissary.  Like this. But they cannot be gotten easily. You must turn the enemies directly into trophies to get them! The item that is needed to do this is a trophy stand.  Basically, it’s the stand the trophy rests on. When an enemy appears, you need to significantly weaken it.  Pay attention to the damage meter at the top-left corner of the screen. If you’re lucky enough to have a trophy stand, throw it at your enemy after you’ve weakened it!  If it goes well...  It will hit with a thud!  And it becomes a trophy! Now you get the trophy. Whoa! What’s happened?! You could say this is only possible because of the setting of the Smash world.  You can then view that trophy in your trophy gallery! Perhaps the trophy descriptions will give you some insight into the backstory of The Subspace Emissary... Of course, you can also do this to get boss trophies.  Yes! I’m definitely gonna get you today! Since you can’t get these trophies if you don’t have a trophy stand, pure skill is not enough—it requires a little luck, too. I’ll make it so you’ll somehow be allowed to fight the bosses even after you’ve already cleared the game, so it’s OK if you don’t hunt all these trophies down in the first battle.
