Does anyone actually care about Xbox Originals. They're practically charging you for broken games.
Can't wait until I use Level 3 Magic in OTOGI 2 to blow up a building. ::red rings:: I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
All of my original Xbox games run great. The downloadable versions can be disregarded due to their ridiculous price, but the emulation works fine and they only list "issues" with the games because they're being responsible and covering their bases since they don't want people whining if they run into some tiny irrelevant issue.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
The official statement on when was just "Most likely weekly", and I'm not sure we're getting any this week, as there hasn't been an announcement yet. Dunno if they plan on announcing at a different time than the usual Arcade ones, but if not, then that usual period of time has passed. Also, uh, only backwards compatible games will make it on there, y'know. These originals are just ISO dumps that you play off your hard drive through the BC emulation process, as opposed to off your original disc. There's nothing else to 'em. You're not magically gonna start getting games that won't work through regular BC showing up on here. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I wasn't implying it was definite that it would be a weekly-type update, just similar to the current system already present for XBLA releases.
Also, I didn't realize that current backwards compatible titles would be the only applicable games to be released through Xbox Originals. FELIPE NO |
How ya doing, buddy? |
Most I can get for even $5. Only exception is probably Psychonaughts.
Oh well. If they make money they'll add more, if not this will probably all there will ever be. I personally don't care either way. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
the original HALO would be the only thing I would see to download (mainly because I am too lazy to go and buy it for $10 new). I guess this is a cheap and efficient Xmas gift for my bro.

I just got Call of Duty 4 yesterday, and since all of the company from the house is gone I'm finally free to play Late Night Live again. However, it seems that the problems plaguing Live's connectivity still haven't gone away, so I am annoyed.
Could it have been the time I was trying? Noon on a saturday, all the 14 year olds at home with their new christmas present calling people fags on Halo 3? Does it improve at all at night? I haven't been on Live since prior to Christmas, so I haven't really experienced the post-holiday Live much. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |

I was curious, anyone know of any possible way in which I can transfer old save data from my original Xbox to my 360 without third-party accessories? Like for instance even if I can't transfer the original files, is it possible if I can download people uploaded Xbox Files and put them on my Xbox? I've tried doing it but no luck, either I'm missing something completely obvious here on how to do it or it's not possible.
On another note, is it just me or is Xbox Live being completely stupid. I try to connect on my dashboard it gives me the "Can't Connect To Messenger" and then after the loading circle you wait for upon connecting to live, You now get put back to the regular menu saying "Connect To Xbox Live"; as you can guess, once I do that same thing happens again. Yet it works when I go into a online game and connect, this wouldn't have bothered me but I like to use the Market Place every once in awhile. Most amazing jew boots |

Everybody is having problems with Live. Apparently Microsoft is trying to correct the matter, although knowing them it could take awhile longer.

It's a widespread issue that seems to be happening due to the large influx of users/activity during the holidays.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing problems too. Just frustrating getting disconnected ever so often, or losing connection to servers/host.

I still haven't heard the failure rate of these 360 boxes drop yet. Have they implemented 65 nm? I have heard on a few other boards they have but it sounds like a rumor so I thought I'd ask. The 2-game holiday bundle seems like a way to unload a good number of units before churning out a slightly revised model...
There's nowhere I can't reach.

The 65nm chipset has been available since late September.

A question for you guys. My 360 died the other day. I want a brand new one and don't want to wait 4 weeks because I got a few games on xmas. So I'd rather not ship it to Microsoft. My friend's brother told me he bought a brand new 360 from Walmart and swapped his broken 360 with the new one and returned it a couple days later for a full refund. He said they didn't check the serial # on the receipt and match it with the console.
Do you guys think I should give this idea a try? I'm not sure if he lied or not, but I don't want to be out $400 if it doesn't work. Should I try it? It would be nice to get a brand new Falcon for nothing. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

It's a YMMV thing. Most stores check serials. Some, with uneducated customer service clerks, will take it back no question.
Others will compare and tell you to go fuck a goat. I was speaking idiomatically. |
I guess it can't hurt to try then. I'll try to return it to a female employee that doesn't know squat about gaming. If they compare serials then I'll just lie and say my brother packed the wrong Xbox or something. Then I'll bring back the new one, return it and ship my broken one off to Microsoft.

Gender has what to do with what now? The sales desk is informed of scams and frauds like this all the time. It's up to the specific service rep's memory and training to look out for people taking advantage of them, and last I checked, that sort of thing didn't require a penis to be good at.

Try the exchange without a receipt first, so they have no serial to refer to. Tell them it was a gift.

Why go thought the hassle? If it's under warranty just called up M$ and tell them about the problem and they'll ship you a coffin to put your 360 in and ship it back.
They have SO many refurbish 360 queue up that it usually takes 2 weeks overall to get your 360 back. 3 days (UPS 3 Day Select) for them to ship the box to you, 5 days (UPS Ground) when you ship it back to them, 2 days for them to check your 360, then 3 days again (UPS OR FedEX 3 Days Select) to ship back a refurbish 360. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
If anything a female isn't going to buy that bullshit. They're likely to check serials and seriously doubt your brother "packed the wrong Xbox". And since it's WalMart you can't really tell if they know anything about gaming. It really depends if they're doing their job or not. Just send it into Microsoft and be patient, I mean it's not like your games are going anywhere. And a good 360 game might be released while you wait. How ya doing, buddy? |
