right click > refresh desktop script?
Hey guys, Im using windows XP, can anyone help me or tell me how to create a shortcut link (or a vbs script) that I can put on my startmenu's startup folder so it will automatically perform the manual RIGHT CLICK ON DESKTOP > REFRESH action upon logging in to Windows?
BTW, i need this because I am using a shell replacement (Aston Aston Desktop. Program for desktop, virtual desktop, shell replacement, themes, wallpapers, skins, visual styles) and I need this because I use an autowallpaper changer that runs at startup but I manually have to do a right click recycle (aston's equivalent to explorer's refresh) to see the new wallpaper. :P How ya doing, buddy? |
Download AutoIt, and make a script that presses the F5 key. The script can then be compiled into an exe, and you can put it in your startup folder.
There's nowhere I can't reach. Mario Kart DS: 498293-921939____ Star Fox Command: 155-576-696-451____ Metroid Prime Hunters: 4854-1233-4943____ Final Fantasy III: 506891214495____ Xfire: freuser____ Steam: Free.User____ |
thank you! I will try that right away!
![]() EDIT: Oh man I cant figure it ouT! I dont know shit about scripting/programming! Autoit looks complicated Ive been fiddling with it for an hour now.. How do I record a mouse stroke and click a command? Help me anyone? Additional Spam: Can some give me or tell me how to script that will make my computer press the left CTRL key and the F5 key simultaneously? thats the shortcut of refresh regardless of what window is active or open. How ya doing, buddy?
