Why was the ECW title match the FIRST match on the card? Okay guys, yes, it is the 'weaker' title, but you all don't need to put the match at the BOTTOM of the card to remind us. SURELY a WORLD title match for one of your brands with an angle built up for weeks can be placed higher on the card than the TAG TEAM MATCH that was thrown together days earlier... Oh, and I am expecting some sort of Smackdown! star to beat Punk soon as no one is left in ECW. If Matt Hardy beats MVP for the US title, then expect MVP to beat Punk.
That's true to a certain extent, but I honestly believe that the WWE's ECW title is the worst title in the WWE. It lost all its credibility (or lack thereof) when McMahon held it. So, if MVP supposedly wins the ECW title, it would actually be a step-down for him since the US title is THAT much better. Punk was able to redeem a bit of its edge, but making the title switch hands too often results to poor value.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

My guess is either 1) Edge will face Batista next month for the title that he 'never lost' in which Taker will interfere and cost Edge the match (setting up a match for Mania, Streak Vs 'Streak').
I'm guessing the 'Streak' one is Edge refusing to acknowledge that he lost a Money in the Bank match back in Wrestlemania, when Jeff took him out of the contest with a Swanton Bomb from a ladder onto him on a ladder, so he still thinks he's undefeated at Wrestlemania.

Eh, Suvivor Series was "meh".

When I used to live with my dad, I always had him rent the old wrestling PPVs(back when he was a huge fan) and he'd ask "Why you always watch the old stuff?"

"Because back then was more exciting".

The question itself came off as odd, since, well my dad is from the old school >_>. LOL, I know this is random, but when I was looking through the Survivor Series section on wwe.com, I saw a picture of Bret Hart and he reminded me of those days, honestly I want to meet this guy and shake his hand lol. I watched all Wrestle Mania's up to..13(didn't see another til 23), and a few Starcades. I think it's crap when Christian Cage says he made ladder matchs famous or something, when Shawn and Scott Hall created the ladder match and that match is still the best one I've ever seen. Scott Hall, then Razor Ramon, definitely made the IC title an important belt and not just a belt we see now, that gets tossed on people as a means of a "mini push". Not ragging on Jeff Hardy, he's cool and he bounced back well from drugs abuse.

Ok Im ragging on Jeff Hardy.. but if he should lose it, I'd want Kennedy to have it.

(evolves into a rant)

Even the WWE title has lost a lot of value. That little jackass Batista, who thinks cancer victims are just as HEALTHY as him, I have to say that, the former WCW title is perhaps receiving it's last ounces of "passion" from a holder, and Batista gives it alot.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The way I see the Intercontinental title now, it's the most exciting title in the WWE...well, when Umanga isn't holding it anyways. I see it as the equivalent of the Cruiserweight title, yet it can be held by anyone.

As far as Ladder Matches go, unfortunately I can't watch it when it's just between two people anymore. I used to think when there was a Ladder Match for the IC title, it was the greatest thing in the world. Then, they came out with TLC matches and that was even better. Now we've got Money in the Bank, which sometimes isn't as exciting as the TLC matches but they're pretty damn good since you almost have non-stop action going on.

I'm disappointed with ECW...I never watched it when it died but I did see the ECW's Most Violent Matches DVD and from what I could tell it was all about Hardcore. I saw the barbed wire match between Sabu and Terry Funk and that was some sick shit. I'm currently trying to get IWA Japan King of the Deathmatches, but it is being a pain downloading. In the past few months, I haven't seen anything hardcore related in ECW...it seems like it's just another wrestling show.

Can't stress this enough: Kill ECW and change its title into the Hardcore title with the 24/7 rule. Sorry for reusing the idea.

Even the WWE title has lost a lot of value.
Do you really think so? Wait, do you mean the WWE title on RAW? If so, I don't think it has lost any value at all. In fact, I think it has attained a lot of value instead. Guys like JBL and Cena made the title seem almost impossible to win. That in my mind gave the title a lot of credibility.

Oh man...the ECW right now shouldn't even be called ECW. An ECW without Heyman's vision is just a watered-down insult. If you think that Sabu vs. Terry Funk match for the ECW title was sick, you should see 85% of what else they did. The Dudley Boyz & Mr. Mustafa vs. New Jack, Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten from CyberSlam '99 was SICK. It was one of the most nauseating matches simply due to the fact that there were scissor-peeling-skin moves involved. It also took place inside of a cage, so you're bound to get tons of blood.

Oh yeah, there was also a triple threat match involving Taz (defending FTW Champion) vs. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Sabu back in the original ECW and these guys went the 30 or 60 minute limit just beating the crap out of each other. There were a lot of sick bumps in this match and Taz even took three stiff chair shots to the skull pit-bull faced, while having Bam Bam locked in a triangle hold. He just kept provoking Sabu to hit him more. It was nuts.

lol. The Hardcore title was entertaining when Crash Holly (R.I.P) was around. Still, at least it'd be better than the joke ECW that they have right now.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I recently finished a book on ECW in which the very last chapter was basically about the new ECW. More or less, it ended with, after Heyman continually telling Vince that people didn't want Lashley as champ, but instead PUnk or RVD (in which Vince said he was pushing only Lashley and get with the program), fans being shocked seeing Punk being eliminated first, RVD third, Sabu being replaced by Holly, the PPV ending 30 minutes early because they forgot to allow Lashley to have his ten minute 'rocky' celebration at the end (which might have been a good thing given how much he got booed by the audience), and Vince/Steph being shocked and blaming Heyman for the failure causing Heyman to leave the company (and Steph and others to celebrate).

Wow, how about that for a single sentence?

At any rate, we all know the current ECW, with the exception of Punk and MOrrison, blows. Miz just isn't there but has potential. Big Daddy V could have been a monster, but they pushed him multiple times inthe past, if he wins the belt there really isn't any direction with him, and he's basically migrating to Smackdown! and be on their roster exclusively soon enough. Dreamer loses 99.9% of his matches, Sandman, RVD, and Sabu are all gone (as predicted a year back), and the brand itself isn't getting any real new talent, just those from Smackdown! because the roster consisted only of 12 people at the time. Seriously, WHO is in a position to win the ECW title now? At least Smackdown! has contenders (Taker, Edge) as well as Raw (Trips, HBK).

That match with Jeff and Umaga was pretty damn good. I haven't seen that quality on Raw in a while.

Also I lol'd when the new Save_Us promo aired and the screen went blank, then Europe's FInal Countdown started playing (for the Sonic and Mario Wii game). I dunno, I just found that perfect timing.

Haha, I was expecting to see the rest of the Save_Us promo. If it really got cut off by the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games promo, then damn...that's awesome.

Yeah, that was a pretty good match between Umanga and Hardy.

Spoiler:
It's a shame that Umanga didn't turn on Snitsky and a rivalry started between those two. It would've been awesome.

Carlito sent his notice in. They'll probably have him lose against Hornswoggle with McMahon firing him on TV or something.

Kinda figured they'd push Jericho's return to the end of the program. Although the code was saying 9:28 EST and closer to 10 pm :|

And JR might as well said what he wanted to say about Cody's mother >_>.

Erisu - it's only been those two. Don't forget the hot potato-ing it went through between Edge and Cena. I view the title holders in a unexplainable way. Like whoever has it, determines the value of the title..

I thought he was a little bit more cut than usual. Crowd went fucking NUTS when the countdown happened and all that crap before.

It felt nice seeing Jericho again. Wonder if he's going to let his hair grow back out and sport that single front ponytail he used to.

I totally marked out for Jericho even though I knew it was going to be him. The promo was great Jericho stuff which we will hopefully get each week. Its going to be interesting to see what direction WWE pushes Jericho in, hes incredibly over right now...I think having him win the WWE championship down the road sometime would be a good move for WWE.

A rivalry between Kennedy and HBK sounds interesting as well, I am glad at least they didnt do what they normally do after HBK loses a big ppv match...having him get injured and put off TV for months.

Haven't seen it but read about it. Heard Jericho was taking away the long locks and adding a few new moves.

Whoa...one of my 1000 possible ideas actually happened tonight in the form of Kennedy and HBK. How about that. Only took...again, a 1000 tries.

It's unlikely Jericho will win the title I hate to say. Supposedly he's on a reduced schedule or such. ALso, I heard Trips was pencilled in to face Orton for the title at Mania. Of course, as we saw with Orton/Batista and Trips some years back, things can change...

OR the WWE writers..I mean steph will realize the fans are getting smarter. The thing that made the attitude era what it was is that we were expecting the duhs but instead we got the unexpected.

Like okay so lets see so-and-so's running there mouth so obviously Austin is going to come out and kick their ass...wait whos this? Its Triple H? WTF?

I hadnt heard of Jericho's reduced schedule, I did hear that if he were to come back he wanted to do it right and on his terms. I dont necessarily see him winning the title from Orton instantly but I also wouldnt rule out a Royal Rumble win for him either. Sure they could do Triple H/Orton....but I think WWE and Triple H is finally coming to the realization that Triple H is golden without the WWE title. Whether it is as a heel or face, Triple H without the title works much better than him with it. I think Triple H is alot like HBK in that light, where he doesnt need a championship to be over.

I was speaking idiomatically.

As for the crowd reaction, I expected it to be a bit more explosive, but hey we all knew he was coming anyway. (man if the Rock ever comes back..) And yes Y2J does look more buffed, infact he looks like a different man. Maybe he was under a lot of stress before leaving, but he definitely looks different. I would have shitted a cement block if he called Randy "junior". The only thing that was missing that night lol.
