This week on Virtual Console US (10/15/07):
Gate of Thunder (TG16) Metal Marines (SNES) Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (NES) Awesome, Ninja Gaiden II was without a doubt the best of the trilogy on NES. FELIPE NO |
God I fucking love how long it takes for nintendo to send out an email stating the games that are out for the VC...I got the one, TODAY, for LAST WEEK! ><
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |

No, no excuses. You've never played it before, big deal. No one has. Who had a TG-CD, I mean honestly. Buy it anyway. What's the point of only buying games you've already played.
Decent graphics, solid gameplay, and OH MY GOD THE SOUNDTRACK I am not even entertaining "I don't like shmups" as an excuse. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Looks amazing (reminds me of the Zero Wing (character) design, but hey, it was 16 bit). If MD Thunderforce IV: Lightning Force makes it on the VC anytime this millennium Ill pick both of these games up for some horizontal shump goodnes.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Hawk and Esty have destroyed Don Jingi and his OBERON units. along with their starship. The galaxy will never agein be terrorized by the OBERON soldiers. GATE OF THUNDER :creditsroll: ENTER YOUR NAME :nameentry: CHV :goddamnepicapplause: I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |

I remember playing Magician Lord way back. Might actually get that one.

Am I reading this correctly?

Are there that many people that don't already have SMB3 on NES, GBA, or SNES? It's a good game, sure, but it's not that hard to find.

You do realize it also says ALIEN SOLDIER, right?

I do, but Super Mario Bros. 3 is just that damn good.
And no, I don't own the game on any console it was released for. That and I've never heard of Alien Soldier. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Well, just so you know, Alien Soldier is that damn good.
VISUALSHOCK! SPEEDSHOCK! SOUNDSHOCK! NOW IS TIME TO THE 68000 HEART ON FIRE! ALIEN SOLDIER FELIPE NO

I'm fucking thrilled about Alien Soldier though. I fucking hope I have the money to get this when VC updates. EDIT: I can't find any information on Power Gold though, I just keep getting links to the Nov 5 updates. XD What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() Currently Playing:Persona 3, .hack//G.U. vol 3, Wild ARMs 3, and Phantasy Star Universe (360). I will beat a rod until a tank empties~ Chocojournal

So with most of the good NES games that can be put on Virtual Console BY NINTENDO out of the way besides Star Tropics and Mother I hope Nintendo can end its terrible fetish with the NES and get some fucking good SNES games out. Seriously. This shit must end.

Everyone says Alien Soldier is the greatest game evar, so what am I missing? I tried it once, and the horrid controls put me off it forever. I spent most of the time stumbling around getting shot a lot as I fumbled with the control scheme and trying to switch between weapons in an efficient manner.
Most amazing jew boots ![]() |
The only thing memorable about Alien Soldier is that it was played quite frequently back in HS on emulators and not only being a fast as hell game, later I find out it's by Treasure so I guess it cant be half bad (I am debating on getting this, since I have the Treasure Box for the PS2) but since I don't give two shits about the story at hand I guess I can spend my points on SMB3 so I can try out some speedruns or something.

For anyone who cares, the TG16 game is Power Golf. I can't believe Nintendo released Super Mario Bros. 3, I thought they would've waited at least another year or two but since Mario Galaxy is around the corner I guess it isn't that surprising.

Sonic, remember too that SMB3 will also help hype Super Mario Galaxy like they did with Metroid.
I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |

Alien Soldier and Super Mario Borters 3? Too bad they're going up against 1989 GOTY Power Golf.
