I really hope FES comes out to the states in its entirety. Even though I've already doubled dipped and bought two copies of the game, I'd eagerly dive into this. I'd love to sink my teeth into an enhanced version of the Episode Yourself and Episode Aegis. Just let us transfer our saves from regular P3 to the enhanced game and I'll be stoked.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I doubt that you'd be able to transfer your saves due to several small differences between the two games. Shifted locations, different situations regarding Social Links...

Crap like that.

From what I've read on the NeoGaf, that was possible in the Japanese version.

"No answer to this yet...anyone know exactly what transfers over from a P3 save to FES? And if there's any difference in using a regular P3 save as opposed to a clear?"

"It applies to all P3 saves. P3 Fes doesn't differentiate between a clear save and a regular save. You don't get much though, it only carries over the Persona database, your academy/charm/courage parameters, special items you get from maxing out communities and the mixraid list. Everything else is reset."

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthre...=200842&page=2

I don't see why they'd drop this option if it does make it over here. Especially since a majority of the people who'll end up buying it will be people who played and loved the original game, anyways.

Edit: Mm, guess this transfer only applies between P3 and FES. Both versions of P3? I don't get why you need your academics/charm/courage stats if FES has no commu events. Can anyone who has played the Japanese versions clarify this?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Then maybe there is hope.

Also, they spelled Persona wrong for Fes. Perona.

They also numbered .Hack//GU 1, 2, and 4. Still, I'll take any shred of hope available when it comes to getting a translated version of Fes.

I need November to hurry up and end so that I can finally have time to finish P3. I'm still at the beginning of December, and it taunts me.

However, his resume has been updated again and the games are no longer on the list.
Update: JeremyR, thanks for the tip to check NeoGAF. Someone did a screen capture of the resume before it was updated and Persona 3: Expansion Pack is on the top of the list. It looks like we are going to see Persona 3 FES in 2008.

Yeah, and "Odin's Sphere", but it looks like this is the voice actor's homepage, and he posted his acting history without realizing that FES is unreleased.

I'm not sure why Atlus keeps dying everyone on their forums.

Finally beat the game this past weekend.

Spoiler:
Last boss fight was pretty satisfying, if never really that difficult. Just keep every soma the game gives you and you've got your mp well. Without those, it might have just been a chore. Finished at level 90. Monad really lets you level up quickly! I jumped 15 levels in only about 3 to 4 hours of playtime. I did follow an S Link guide so I could obtain every persona. Seeing each one's artwork was my favorite thing about the game (shuffle time, a close second). Wish those images were floating around the internet.

Question, because I'm not going to try to beat Elizabeth. Is any information about her and Igor given to you for beating her or maybe in Fes?

Uh, scroll up.

Anyhoo, I just started playing the game having nothing better to do a few days ago, and I'm absolutely hooked. The game's style and presentation is the best I've seen from ANY JRPG. Also, undoubtedly, the best battle theme ever.

Professional voice actors showing off their resumes aren't ones to feed rumors. The fact that two of them explicitly mention some form of Persona 3 beyond the original release (O'Brien outright stating that it's Fes, Prince saying "Expansion Pack") is a damn good indication.

The only way I'm skeptical of this is if the images were just faked (sort of explaining the typos). But if those actually did show up on their websites at one point, there is little doubt that Fes is coming here.

Yeah, it's been on their websites under their resumé that they did voice work for FES. Atlus hasn't come out and denied it, nor have they confirmed it.

It's much like how the VA for Krystal just admitted she did the voice work for Krystal on Brawl. Nintendo hasn't come out and said she's wrong but they aren't going to say she's right either.

You can make of it what you will until the fated day comes.

If it's the group of three I think you're talking about, charm is your best friend. Try to make an apt persona for the fight with sexy dance carried over. If that's not what you're talking about, sorry, I dunno.

Oh sure, FES rumors start picking up again right after I read through an entire spoiler transcript of Episode Aegis.

Oh well, I still want it for the social link conclusions alone which I haven't read yet.

Just had to post here quickly to say: FUCKING INSTANT DEATH SPELLS!

It's seriously driving me crazy. I mean sure they don't work most of the time, and when they do it's usually 1 or 2 that die, BUT this game uses the same gay system as Radiata Stories, where if the character you control dies it's game over...WHY? It doesn't help that about half the enemies in Tartarus use them too. I really hope they stop with this crap, I had several frustrating moments in Radiata Stories as well because of it.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Welcome to Shin Megami games. Nocturne was even worse with the Hama/Mudo/Eternal Sleep instant death spells, and it was game over if the main character died there too. You just have to prepare for them and fuse a persona strong or null to the instant death types in that area.

It can be a huge pain sometimes, but at least Persona doesn't have a boss like Beelzebub (that I know of). He was a boss in Nocturne who used an attack constantly that hit everyone with instant death, no missing unless they were Null Death.

Yeah, and even if they were, it then did extreme almighty damage to them and had a chance of giving them fly status if I remember correctly, heh.

Dealing with instant death spells in this game isn't too bad. Just approach all enemies from the back and you can escape 100 percent each time you get the drop on them. If your enemies spam mudo/hama and you can't quickly dispatch of them, flee. I ran more in this game than probably any other I can think of. Plus, homoncu-whatevers for back up in case you get bum rushed. I only collected about 10 of them all game, but I hardly had to use any either. Always keep a dark and light strong/null persona on you at all times.

I'll finish what the Doctor was saying. Always have a good supply of Homonculus in your inventory. The will save you from the utter despair that your character could possibly face.

Your other solution is to get a persona that has Nul against Mudo or Hama skills.
