Yes, people were able to get into the HALLWAY to the club.
No, it doesn't affect 1UP at all. So calm down fellas. Yeesh. Sega deserves some bashing in certain aspects, but this is not one of them.
Search results for phantasy star universe - Mininova A CD key DOES matter, since it means you MUST buy the actual game AND have the subscription. PC Games with CD keys won't even let you install unless you have the key on the box, and the servers can probably check for your CD key too. PSU doesn't have one, hence why people who get the PC version just download it for free, so all they needed was to pay 10 bucks a month. That may change in AOI of course.
Jam it back in, in the dark.

Japanese AoI doesn't have CD key. I know cause I did the AoI JP account time share on PSO World, downloaded the game and everything. No CD Key.
I don't see any reason why they wanna bother with CD keys in the US when they won't bother for their JP 'higher population' audience. I mean c'mon, Sega US is notorious for being lazy with PSU. CD keys are probably more trouble than its worth. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() { :: ~ Air - the 1000th Summer ~ :: } :: That sea went on forever, into the blue distance :: * That road went on forever, continuing straight ahead * ~ : Summer comes again, shining silver : ~ : When I close my eyes, suddenly I can see that day's blue sky : |
Maybe you downloaded a cracked version or something because I have friends who are playing AOI and they had to use CD keys.
And CD keys are a MUST. How can you say that CD keys are more trouble than they're worth? They're the type of security we sorely need to have to bind to our accounts to keep hackers from easily coming back ever so constantly and causing a disruption on the server. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Huh, weird. Mine didnt need CD key to install.
And my point was more like if Sega is too lazy to implement CD keys for the JP server, then to them its more trouble than its worth for the US servers. I was jabbing at their laziness to do anything remotly intelligent rather than saying "CD keys are worthless". 1UP Cup Mission walkthroughs! (Part 1) Parum: Invisible Road Block A: -Turn your sound way up for this. The first choice you make, is which warp to take. The shortest route will be the warp that makes a sound. The other warp will lead you to a detour that you can use to add to your kill score. But whichever warp you take (since one will lead you back here anyway), REMEMBER which warp made the sound! Block B: -The container is random, 4 possible results. Key, Key with Vahra, Vahra, and air. Even though its theoretically faster to just skip this part entirely, SHOOT the container! You'll see why in a moment. -The next choice is 4 warps, one behind a lock. The reason why I made you shoot the container before: a flower will spawn next to one of the warps. If you did not shoot the container before it, it will not appear. -Each warp has a destination to take you, and this depends on where the flower is. Taking the warp with the flower wil lead you to the mid length route. Taking the warp right of the one with the flower takes you to the "Mysterious path", which is the longest route. And the one left of the flower is the same as taking the one behind the lock (the short route). Whatever route you take, Make sure before you leave this block you get the chip hidden in a tree in the indent to the side. (It's in the last room, so no matter what warp you take, you can get it) Block C: -Remember the warp you took from Block A to get to Block B? The route you take depends on that earlier event, and the enemies you kill here. If you went left, Killing the Badiras opens the far path. Skipping the badiras and killing the vahras makes the key appear by the gate. If you went right, its the opposite, Vahras for the far gate, Badiras for the close gate. -Getting the chip: At the fork after you get an NPC to join you (or in some cases not) means stopping by the left side first and noting what spawns there. This includes enemy status (sword, shiled, king). Afterwards head to the right side and kill ONLY the monster in the pair that spawn, that you saw on the left. In the event that a monster spawns but the status does not match, look for the closest answer, and kill it anyway (ex. you saw a sword vahra, but there's only a vahra and a badira on the right; kill the vahra anyway). Repeat 3 times to get the chip. -Corollary to the above: if your NPC is Remillia, skip the left side, its a waste of time unless you need the kills. On the right side, kill everything that's not a Koltoba for the chip. Block D: -Depending on your party structure and when you left Block C, you will be randomly split up into 2 groups with 2 different spawn points. Or in the case of a solo run, you will end up in the large room. -In the first room of each side, there wil be a mix of 2 monsters that spawn. Killing a certain set makes the gate open faster, killing the other set spawns more monsters. What you kill once again depends on the warp you took way back in A. If you went left, kill the Volffu. If you went right, kill the Golmoro. -The next choice you make, is the 2 switches. This happens on both sides, but are completely opposite from each other. If you're in the path that starts with the big room, the warp you took in A will be the switch you press. (If you went left, you press the left switch, likewise for right). Pressing the wrong switch warps you back one room, and spawns more monsters. In the other path (not seen when soloing), the square room, if you went left, you press right and vice-versa. The wrong switch has a bomb. -In the room with the 5 boxes, if you went left warp on A, The chip will be in the Southeast box. If you went right, it will be in the Southwest box. Also, if you took the right warp, the middle large box will be safe to break. It will spawn 4 smaller boxes. If you went left, its got a svaltus. Regardless of Difficulty chosen, in order to score a perfect 10, you need to clear this in under 20 minutes (5 points), you need 81 or more kills (2 points) and all 3 chips (3 points). So after getting that 10 on that rank, if you choose to speedrun it for quick bonus access, run the short routes and don't miss a single chip. That will get you the 8 points you need for S. IF there's still a big demand for the other trials, I'll get around to posting mini-guides for them all as well. Stay Tuned! Moatoob: United Front Warning: If you aren't in a full party, BRING FREEZE TRAPS! Block 1: -When you reach the first locked door that needs to be opened by a switch, run along the right side of the pit to avoid all 3 traps, press the switch to open the door. Not a glitch, and also a recommendation, have your force or RA in party stand at the door that you just opened. Even though the door is timed for 20 seconds, as long as someone is there to keep it open, it will not close and lock. -In the last room, there is a warp, which you need to split your party up to access. Upon taking the warp, there is a destructible wall BEHIND you. Break it for the chip. -In the same area, you can scan the containers to see which are trapped and which has the key. but since it never changes, its the Upper left container that has the key. Block 2: -IMPORTANT! Pay attention to where you found your keys. After opening the 2 key gate, there will be another batch of enemies to spawn where you found key 1. If you have a ranger, ignore that mob. I'll explain why later. -The order for the switches when you hit the 3 laser fences is Left > Middle > right. Pretty simple isn't it? -Upon entering the last room, immediately turn to your left, and scan the rock. This leads to another chip. -Remember the mob you skipped if you have a ranger class? You can snipe them all with a rifle or a bow from the last room. This saves you a LOT of time, which is something you need if you are to score a 10. Block 3: -Rather run of the mill, split-your-party-and-grab-the-keys deal. Ignore the press switches you run across, they serve no purpose other than to make your life miserable with popup traps and turrets. Note the fake wall at the end of the right fork for a light switch. Make sure you press that switch! There will be a rapcha spawn from enabling the lights! -At the friendchecker, it's important to note that ONLY *2* people will be involved in this. The leader, and the character the game randomly selects. The others (if you have any others) are free to run ahead and play enforcer. -The 2 who are selected at the test should take all the time they need. Don't rush this, the indicator has 4 color warnings from blue to red. If it turns red, you fail. Additionally, the 2 people selected shouldbe moving towards the finish point at all times, do NOT attempt to fight anything, let your partners deal with it. Bil de Bear is here, and one punch is all it takes for you to fail this if you aren't next to a wall. If they get to the finish point before you can clean out the monsters, head for the finish point as well. Then double back and pick off the remains. -In the case of a 2 person party, or if you are unable to clear the enemies before your pair gets to the monsters, drop a freeze trap to let them pass. OR hope one of you is a cast with a charged SUV. -Upon finishing the friendchecker SUCCESSFULLY, there is a warp to your immediate left. Don't miss this, as it is easy to pass by. This warp contains the last chip. Moatoob is by far the hardest of the 4 trials. Even though I mentioned GColony as the hardest as well, this one tests skill, that one tests sheer luck. Your goal for Moatoob to score a 10 is as follows: Time taken: no more than 22 minutes ( 5 points) Enemies killed: At least 93 (2 points) Chips: 3 (3 point) Sources: PSO-World.com Forums - Quick and dirty guide for Crossreview/1UP Cup Parum: Invisible Road PSO-World.com Forums - Quick and Dirty Guide for Crossreview/1Up Cup Moatoob: United Front I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() { :: ~ Air - the 1000th Summer ~ :: } :: That sea went on forever, into the blue distance :: * That road went on forever, continuing straight ahead * ~ : Summer comes again, shining silver : ~ : When I close my eyes, suddenly I can see that day's blue sky :

Kairi Li and I just ran Parum on C-rank and got 10 points. And yes, EX is pretty crazy (too bad she almost got ALL of the drops.
) We'll be glad to do PS2/PC runs on it tonight (~9 hours from now when I'm off work) on C or B-rank. We'll try Moatoob, too! Most amazing jew boots

The event is pretty crazy. I still can't get used to the EXP we are getting from the runs (I started the mission at 25 and after hours of playing I'm just almost 32). Just got done getting 10pts on United Front (ugh we were always missing 1-2 monsters).
And 15,000m/150mp per S ranking Invisible Road C? <3~ Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() Currently Playing:Persona 3, .hack//G.U. vol 3, Wild ARMs 3, and Phantasy Star Universe (360). I will beat a rod until a tank empties~ Chocojournal |
Not to mention Lukage didn't play for AGES and only recently came back, he missed out on alot of thing so his view on Sega will be different that ours. That doesn't mean he's a moron. I been playing since Launch so I know that people were only able to get to the hallway to the club. Not in it. Lukage only been online again for a couple of weeks, he still has alot of catch up on, and he believed some BS from other players cause he didn't know about the club's real glitch. You both were overeacting, which caused this argument to begin with. Just chill. No need to start hurling insults at each other just because you disagreed on something. Moatoob's walkthough edited, there's a light switch that needs to be pushed for more spawns. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() { :: ~ Air - the 1000th Summer ~ :: } :: That sea went on forever, into the blue distance :: * That road went on forever, continuing straight ahead * ~ : Summer comes again, shining silver : ~ : When I close my eyes, suddenly I can see that day's blue sky :

Trying to get in a decent c ranked group so I can gain some levels. Only thing i hate about the xbox version is it seems like 70% of the groups I join are assholes that kick for no reason. Don't invite me to your group if you're just gonna boot me without saying anything.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Parn - oh and no disrespect to Lukage... but damn I laughed hard on that quote.
Well I went from 51-60 today. Now if I can pass my FT(71) and my Human FF(87) I'll be in good shape. I should have been a beast from 'the' very beginning. But its all good. Only thing I dont like about it is, people seem to be on edge. Relax relax. Don't go into Incredible Hulk mode because we missed one chip or got 8 points. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Well some people wanna get 10 points at least once on each rank so they can get 90 rappy feathers. :P
I think these missions work much better on voice chat. I say play with people you know and trust, or at least have some association. Joining random parties may yield unsatisfactory results. Its a well known fact that majority of people don't do their research despite the fact everything takes 2 mins to find and download on the net. Not to mention the event won't be around forever. That gets people on edge with " I need all these S ranks AND all those hot oufits before the event is OVER!" Doesn't help that some of us have either work or school. I like to play alot more, but work takes up quite some time. I was speaking idiomatically.
I'm going to be on all day tomorrow (yay saturday) so I'll see if you can join next time (he will most likely have no problem with it). So tell me when you're available and I'll see what I can do. All we do is have fun basically beating the mission~ (not friendship ugh too much) Ugh, I'd play more tonight but going to my friend's house and haloing it up all day made me tired. ![]()
Besides, come on, if you can't get 10pts in four missions in three to four weeks you shouldn't even be playing 1up. That's about 1 week per mission. They aren't THAT hard, it took us 4-5 tries at most (that's about an hour) to 10pt it. >_< What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() Currently Playing:Persona 3, .hack//G.U. vol 3, Wild ARMs 3, and Phantasy Star Universe (360). Finally managed to find and make a really good party later on. Playing with adults makes for a more enjoyable gaming session. We had plenty of good chats and I managed to jump about 7 levels in 4 hours. They also were in shock when I told them I was 22 since they said I sound like I'm 14. ;____; Now I'm level 26 and pretty close to 27. Now that I'm not so low leveled anymore I should have an easier time finding C groups.
The parties I had before that constantly fell apart. Stingy leaders who refuse to play fairly. One of them switched from Order to take on rares because he got a path by himself with multiple rappies on the parum run. Sure enough he got four drops because of it. And what does he do after that? forces the whole party to wait while he tries to sell his rare loot in the lobby. Of course the other 3 of us left. I'm off tomorrow so I plan on at least hitting level 32. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I just wish I can find more people to play A rank with and try and get some rare boards. Most people spamming "A Party!" over and over again don't know what the hell they're doing.
I just need more trusted friends to play with... Preferably with Vent or Skype voice chat so we can co-ordinate better. Jam it back in, in the dark.
Kairi, since we used to play back when the game first out, you mind telling me about any major changes since I left?
How ya doing, buddy?
|
Wow Gee Manny, did you get the advanced class before you left? Cause the list is pretty long, not to mention the upcoming Expansion pack too.
We got alot of new items, missions, new S rank weapons and armors, Death penalty is changed so that we only lose S rank if we head back to lobby, Firebreak event came out. Better missions to get more mission points for advanced class. Some missions rely on co operation which is alot more fun than just killing, especially with voice chat.New clothes and parts... Alot of new PAs and spells... More online mission chapters... The AoI Expansion will make melee alot less nerfed by introducing Just Attack, where players can build up chain attacks with normal and PAs by timing the buttons right, which gives critical hits. That and combining PP regen that comes with normal attacks means we no longer need to spam Photon Charges to use PAs anymore. Counter attack is implemented so that any character can immediatly retaliate when the block animation occurs with no time delay. Stat changes will be implemented meaning we all become more powerful, new job classes, New weapons like Whip and splicers, Madoogs (left hand casting mags) and Shadoogs (Auto firing left handed mags.) Naturally more clothes, items, weapons decors. Rooms are now bigger and furniture is placed more freely using a grid system. Plusides and other table top items can be placed on tables, shelves etc. Poster can be placed on walls along with special decors, EG a De Ro Le stuffed and strung on the wall like a giant serpent tropy. New lobbies and missions, along with missions taking place on PSO's Ragol... List goes on and on.... If anyone is thinking of coming back, let me know so we can try and meet up. I also know at least 2 ventrillo servers for voice chat on the PC. Manny, do you have my card at all? The character would be Lizonia. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Got a Storm Line board last night, and a crapload of XP. Almost have figunner capped finally, and am trying to finish off my remaining PAs before I switch it up to fortetecher. I do mostly solo C runs on 1up, so if 360 players want to get leveled up really quickly, you're welcome to message me and I'll be killing stuff quickly... all you need to do is tag monsters of course. I S rank the mission too, so you'll get a lot of meseta and mission points as well.
