Personally I found the Hornet the easiest way to take them out as you don't need to down the Scarabs, you can just expose the core and then hover low and blast the crap out of it.

By the way, if anyone is up for doing some of the levels on Legendary let me know. I'm typically online between 6pm-midnight (GMT) and need to work through the first 6 missions on Legendary.

I'm looking for a group to do the same thing. Only hitch is that I work 5pm - 9pm today (thursday) so unless we can do it after 9 tonight otherwise I may just have to wait till friday and tackal it with another group.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Where are you at though Slayer (North America I'm guessing)? I'm in England, so I imagine 5pm your time will be sometime towards the end of my night.

There's a Recover Profile option one could use to...well, recover a profile, in case it gets corrupted or deleted in a situation such as that.

Well I had been adding friends and stuff, so I think I was signed in.

I don't mind playing the game over again really. It's not exactly what you'd call long.

You get achievements whether you're online or not. And if you were adding friends, yes you can do that only when you're signed in to LIVE. Therefore if your wern't signed on to LIVE and your profile got screwed for a moment, then yes, you would have lost your progress.

Yeah. Some of the Bungie members said over a year ago in interviews with EGM and what not that if they had their way with the profit money from Halo 3 that they would buy themselves out of MS to allow them to work on different types of games like they did before they were picked up by MS, but I never thought that they would actually do it. When you think of the X-box the first and sometimes only thing that comes to the mind of the general consumer is Master Chief.

It's like Nachoes with no cheese, or hamburger without a bun, you never think it's gonna happen... until it does. Oh well. It's going to be interesting to see if Bungie can still make a non Halo game after ten years.

Technically they will still probably be making Halo titles for MGS, but this gives them the ability to put out Marathon on the DS if they feel so inclined, or some shit. The autonomy doesn't necessarily mean they're abandoning their largest gauranteed source of income.

This is totally true. However I wouldn't expect more Halo stuff from them too soon. The trilogy just ended, and I'm sure they want to make some new IP to ground themselves in the industry outside of Halo I'm sure.

Are you kidding? I can't imagine it'll be that long before we see a map pack or some sort of pay-for expansion stuff for Halo 3. When you have X million of potential customers right there, eager, why not take advantage of it.

See, they didn't specify which fight was finished though. The fight against those uh Covenant guys or whatever, yeah, that fight is over. In the next installment of The Adventures of Master Chief and the Computer Girl, Master Chief crash lands on the Death Star and wages mortal combat with storm troopers. After that? The possibilities are limitless!

There will be game based on halo universe, the next project they are working on is peter/weta collaboration.

The ending was really good, the legendary ending does leave open to 3 theories , of what could happen next.

1.MC enters the new planet which is actually earth of future,light years ahead (timeslip).

2.Ghosts of onyx mentions about the planet, it could be that.

3. Or planet of forerunners themsleves.

Best thing about halo3 story is execution, though there are flaws and loopholes but it does leave many vague points open to interpretation.

Yea as far as the game situation is, they are finished with THAT fight. Doesn't mean they can't build more off of that.

Making a prequel would be more interesting, story-wise, I think. They've pretty frickin' decisively ended that storyline, why not leave people hanging with that ending and work their way backwards for a while? They've already proven they can be a cocktease (see Halo 2's ending), they should see how long they can keep that up.
