That doesn't really matter, does it? The list just says "Dracula", not "Bram Stoker's Dracula".

Why are we arguing Dracula and Archie Bunker, anyway? They're both influential in their own way. The bigger question is, who did Buck Rogers influence, other than Daffy Duck?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Since when does the Boogeyman suck blood and mesmerize women with his eyes? Dracula's a step above your average ghoul because he's got style.

The question is really your definition of "influential". If by influential, you mean he was a catalyst for spotlighting and reforming social problems, then Archie Bunker wins. If influential simply means how many people have heard of you, then Dracula easily wins. Hell, I was born in the US in 1978 and didn't know who Archie Bunker was until I was an older teenager, but everyone knows Dracula.
This. I'm guessing we both took different definitions of influential and
thus the hard-lined arguments on who was more of it.

If you want to think you "won" Deni, go right ahead. I know In my mind
that both characters were influential and as a fresh voice has pointed out: This is all really just quite silly.
For the record, yes I have seen a couple episodes of All In the Family.

Why are we arguing Dracula and Archie Bunker, anyway? They're both influential in their own way. The bigger question is, who did Buck Rogers influence, other than Daffy Duck?
Exactly, and for that I'm done with this topic. I still think I was correct though.

The author and the list itself is who we should be complaining about, not the placement of characters on it.
Anyway, I'm done (Now I remember why I never go into the Political Palace )

I was speaking idiomatically.

Sure you are.

Y'know, it might've been an easier list to swallow if the authors hadn't tried to actually rank every single entry, and had just presented them all equally in some arbitrary order. I get the feeling they made up a 1-101 ranking and made it outrageous on purpose just to sell more books. Now you HAVE to buy a copy to see why Smokey the Bear is more influential than Superman.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Smokey the Bear is the reason why our forest fires are so bad nowadays.
