[DS] How do you get 3,000 pikachus on a bus? POKEMON!

Anyway, with any Wi-Fi game, go to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Setup --> Options --> Transfer Nintendo WFC Configuration --> OK twice. Turn on the other DS, go to download play and follow the direction.

Usually there should be a Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Instruction Booklet in every Wi-Fi game that tells you how to transfer your configuration but it seem like for D/P they stuff in so many propaganda there was no room for one. lol

I just brought four Pokemon up to Level 100 tonight. They were each at 80, but those last twenty levels take nearly as long as the first eighty, it seems.

So now that I've got that done, I'm kinda stumped. I'd like to raise something else that's battleworthy but I'm not sure what would be interesting.

Anyone have suggestions? You don't need to supply movesets but ideas for strategies might be useful.

What four did you raise? Without knowing, I'd suggest raising a Miltank and/or Blissey for either kind of wall and a cleric.

The four were Weavile, Salamence, Gengar and Empoleon.

Oh, nice, Empoleon. Looks like all you need for a rounded set is a physical wall and something to throw down Spikes or Stealth Rock or something. Skarmory covers both of those pretty darn well.

Ah, if you'd participated in the tournament, you'd know that I already have a trained Skarmory as well. It's not a Spiker, but I have something for that too.

Well, shit. Maybe you oughtta just do pokedex-roulette and see what you come up with.

You have all of the basics jobs down then. Physical wall, special wall, both kinds of sweepers, and a spiker. Do you have a set leader for your team? Maybe you should work on one if you don't (but since you competed in the tournament, I doubt that that's the case). Aside from that, maybe another special sweeper? Salamence and Weavile are plenty for the physical part, but Empoleon's a bit scary to use that way. Gengar is a staple. So, a Porygon-Z (usual choice) would be good, or maybe a Houndoom if you wanted to have a little zest or some Fire.

Beyond that, you could go into really specialized types. Bronzong designed for Trick Room? You could do a whole team for that. Subpunching with a Breloom or something. Always painful, if you can pull it off.

One tactic I've been itching to try is Pressure Stalling. Get a pokemon with Pressure and good defenses to eat away at the opponent's PP. Sort of limits your choice to Dusknoir, though. Another one is something I saw at another place, called Perish Trapping. I guess it's is a Mismagius that revolves around using Mean Look with Perish Song.

Beyond that, the only other thing to do would be to suggest our favorites. You're probably aware of who's the best statistically, but a lot of those pokemon are boring.

Heh, that's exactly how I got my current team. I just thought of types and picked my favorites from those.

Late response, but it's cool. I was just breeding Feebas and Dratini for trading on GTS. I found that if I offer either of those I basically get whatever I want real quick. One thing I've noticed, the everstone nature thing doesn't really work with Feebas while my adamant Dragonite has it on her and it only took 2 or 3 eggs before she started pumping out adamant Dratini.

Don't know what's the deal with Feebas, but getting the nature I want is a chore with it.

Well after a few days of jamming on Pokemon Battle Revolution I think I finally have a good tournament idea.

To those that know the game setup why not have a Sunny Park styled tournament? Yay or nay? Same set of rules and eveything =)
For those that don't know the rules, it would be as follows:
- Only Pokemon lv.5 and below are allowed to enter.
- Pokemon must have a evolution form (like Bulbasaur or Pichu.)
- Pokemon must be at their lowest evolutionary form (This means Pikachu isn't allowed since Pichu is actually the lowest evolutionary form.)
- You are allowed six Pokemon in your roster. Battles themselves will be done as double battles with each player using four Pokemon.
- Each Pokemon in your roster must be different!
- Each of your Pokemon must have a different hold item (or none.)
- And lastly, all fixed damage moves are banned! This means no Sonicbooms or Dragon Raging folks.

I really enjoy playing in this mode since it requires very little time to prepare. I mean, you can only gain 4 levels after hatching the egg. The only time consuming part would be hatching said egg or figuring out what egg moves to acquire =p.

Haha, if not we can always go for a good old fashioned doubles tournament. Also, I'm a bit "eh" on the idea of having a Metronome tournament. There seems to only be a few of us that are willing to try it out. So I'll save myself some work and move onto something else. Like the above tournament ideas.

For those who are too lazy...
Three employees of GAMEFREAK, the producers of the Pokémon RPGs, are participating in a promotion this and next week via the Global Trade Station (GTS). Junichi Masuda, director, Ken Sugimori, character designer, and Shigeki Morimoto, battle director, will use the GTS through Thursday, and again Sunday through Aug. 30, to search for and trade their Japanese Psyducks for American Ponytas.

To participate, players should enter the GTS during the promotion and deposit a Ponyta. Then they should select Psyduck as the Pokémon they are seeking, with no preference for level or gender.

Each employee will trade 30 Psyducks during the days of the promotion.

Yeah, more than likely. I really don't want to drag out the tournament for more than 2 days this time around. It would be awesome if we could do this all in one sitting~ but I'd rather not put my hopes up that high.

PBR wasn't that bad.
Maybe I'm only saying that because I had a really low initial expectation for the game and I got it cheap through ebay. But hey at least I'm able to copy ALL my pokemon from D/P to PBR within minutes .

For a Wii game yeah-- it could've used more "stuff" but I'm not gonna touch that argument.

I'm not sure if just having a Japanese psyduck is that much of a promotion really. I've picked up a few Japanese over GTS and frankly, it's annoying having no idea what the fuck they're called or even where to start pronouncing it.

I will admit though to being slightly childish when naming Pokemon I've caught just for trading. There's a fair few Pokemon called stuff like Ilovemen and Poostain floating around now. I figured childish insults was funnier than out and out swearing...

Meh, I used to think it was an amazing thing, up until I found out, once it evolved, it would lose the Japanese name.

I guess the promotion is a good thing, but it's not that huge. I guess if you want to impress your friends that you got a Japanese Psyduck from one of the creators, it would be cool, but otherwise meh.

You guys say they're meh, but this counts as an event pokemon. And with only 90 before cloning begins, they'll be pretty valuable.
