Resident Evil 2 supposedly works as long as you change the GameID on it in popstation to Biohazard.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
So Emulation is a go on the new Slim PSP firmware? Awesome, now I need to find and pick up a Slim PSP to sit alongside my DS Lite. Wonder if it comes in Milky White to fit in with my iPod and DS Lite...when is it supposed to be released?

I'm surprised people aren't more hyped about the extra 32MB of RAM to help with loading times. The two main reasons I had shyed away from PSP as a system up until this point was battery life and loading times, and this new PSP addresses both of those. (Although to extend battery life you'll have to use the old-style battery which is bigger, so it will stick out of your PSP a bit.)
I did have one question though: they mentioned something about a new headphone jack. Is this going to be proprietary Sony BS like the headphones plug into some sort of square-shaped port or something, or will we be able to plug in standard headphones? Anyway, I will probably get the Daxter Entertainment Pak as I want that game anyway, and it's actually not too bad a deal for what you get. I have about 25 PS1 games, and if I could play them at work on my lunchbreak for example I might actually get through some of them. ![]() There's nowhere I can't reach. |

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I have a lil question for the people who have played the game metal gear solid: portable ops:
Do I need to play mgs3 before playing this one? (in term of story I mean) How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
Nah, it can stand on its own actually.
Although there are some MGS3 references here and there, it does not mean the whole story revolves around it. How ya doing, buddy? |

Hum, if the TV-Out uses the Microphone Jack does that mean they will have to create a new Headset now?
Since isn't the Microphone Jack right smack dab next to the Headphone (as illustrated by the little picture on the PSP itself) or are we talking about a usb type thing here? What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |

If they do, however, find an exploit that makes it possible to add custom firmware using only software cracks, then I just might consider getting on the slimmer train myself. Most amazing jew boots |

I suspect that even if there isn't an official Sony headset adaptor, a third party will probably make one for original PSP headsets. I was speaking idiomatically. |
the + version seem to only add some characters, maps and new online modes. Most amazing jew boots ![]() |
Plus, it's one superb game =d FELIPE NO
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.

Hmm, actually, while the connection to the PSP looks different, the actual remote section seems like it could be the same as the remote for the original PSP. So it may be possible to use the official PSP headset with the PSP redesign after all.
Wish they'd release information on the actual remote piece though, they haven't made any mention of it being included in the new packages so it might only be available separately. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
So the latest revision of M33 custom firmware lets you choose the official Sony ISO loader (also known as module NP9660) to play UMD dumps from Memory Stick.
Now here's the thing: NP9660 mode has 100% (!) NO-UMD compatibility, meaning you can now play all games from Memory Stick without a UMD inserted. Not only that, but load times have also decreased significantly compared to the "normal" ISO loader. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Does is it now ACTUALLY worth download M33? Is there any chance that I would be able to place the NP9660 prx in my seplugins instead of having to upgrade?
_________________________ A somewhat important link: http://psp.console-tribe.com/downloa...converter.html Ripped base.pbp with keys.bin. Base.pbp is now a whooping 1.3 megs extracted. I felt like posting it because I use PSX2PSP still to convert my PSX games. It took a while (even using Google) to search for it. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Is it true that sony is bringing out another psp? That loads faster? And a built-in 2 OR 1 GB?

Yes and they are making it out of peppermint and rainbows! =D

If you're happy with 3.03 OE-C, stick to it. There's absolutely no reason to update if you don't need the new Kernel and/or features.
Anyways, I wanted to ask if anybody finds the RSS feature of the PSP as amazing as I do. Seriously, I couldn't live without it. Downloading/streaming and listening to podcasts on the go is the best thing since sliced bread. FELIPE NO |
