It's extremely unethical of the FBI to "hoard" a security vulnerability they know about, for any reason. They should disclose this sort of thing to the vendor.

I doubt the FBI would bother with browser exploits against a
bored 15 year old on myspace.
And doesn't this whole thing seem like overkill? Like the RIA stunt "hey, watch out, it could be
anyone we go after" when really, to go after every one of these throwaway comments on myspace, and equally go after everyone who downloads an mp3, would be a waste of time and money.
Frankly, I think they could have found this boy much faster and much cheaper with a bit of good old fashioned detective work. Go talk to some kids in the school, speak with the teachers, etc.
There's nowhere I can't reach.
