2 years of a second language required for bachelors degree?

Well I'm starting college for the first time and I want to quickly know if 2 years of a second language is required for graduation?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It depends on your school and the type of degree. It differs from one school and/or degree to another. What do you care though, obviously you have a moderate grasp of English as your second language, right?

lol @ russ' subtle insult

Thankfully, I don't need any other languages to graduate. What he said about school and type of degree is the truth.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Usually there's some way to get around it. I technically need a second language, but somehow that requirement was waived by taking three years in high school. Or something like that (I didn't even do the AP Spanish). However, I probably could pass a SAT II for Spanish if for some reason they made me, simply because I managed to keep up my high school language past the 6 months after I graduated.

I think if you are going for a BA, they require 2 years of a second language. If you are going for a BS, then you don't have to worry about it. That is how it was at my university, anyway.

I was speaking idiomatically.

It depends on your college. Go ask your adviser or even someone in the admissions office.
