Odin Sphere, as it is Atlus goodness and I cannot wait to pop it in and play.

FF12 at a huge discount because I will only pay discount prices for Squaresoft products and because despite my loathing of Square's bishie bullshit and self-referential fanwanking and trite dialogue I still am bested by my own curiosity and also maybe hate myself a little bit or a lot or something.

*gasp*

Valkyrie Profile 2, which I'm honestly surprised I was able to find new considering the rarity of its predecessor.

Rogue Galaxy, which my brother and I both found interesting for different reasons and over which I'll probably have to fight him for the controller.

Pre-order and 50% down on Persona 3.

Dig-dug for the DS, to relive my C64 days without having to worry about out-of-memory errors. At least "SYS 64738" was easier than "shutdown -r -f -t 0" or "sudo shutdown -r now" Plus, Dig-Dug + stylus = 3 metric litres of win.

I was also most fortunate to have located a copy of Rez, a game I hadn't quite fully realized had even been released in the States. Now if only I can locate that one peripheral for it, my "other half" of the other gender will NEVER accuse me of playing too many video games...

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

It is not my custom to go where I am not invited.

Pokemon Diamond: a fun update from the series, better then the newer ones.

Super Princess Peach: I was interested in it, cause Princess Peach is a main character in it and I always have had fun playing as her in games she appeared and she's not the damsel in distress role for once.

Mario Kart DS: Its Mario Kart and its portable, what else more need I say

Well not sure if this counts, but I got a copy of gt4 from this game trading site and it cost me all of $3 to get it shipped (thats all it cost if that since I was round up that number) and the disk came in great shape w/ case and booklet

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I just started playing this game recently, even though I bought it when it first came out. Anyway, I think you might be the only other person on GFF that actually has this game, so hit me up if you ever want to play online sometime.

On Monday I went over to Gamedude, a used game warehouse basically that sells used and new games of virtually every American released console.

I got Eternal Champions for the Sega CD, Enemy Zero and Three Dirty Dwarves both for the Saturn. They also had Shining Force III there, and despite myself wanting the game, I couldn't justify spending the $90 to get it. However, if Panzer Dragoon Saga was there, I would've snatched it up for it's asking almost $200 price tag. Call me crazy.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Ah...I forgot to mention the new games I've purchased since Black and White 2. Well that can be arranged.

Daxter doesn't count 'cause it was free, but I purchased Pinball Hall of Fame and SEGA Genesis Collection (both for the PSP) just last week, and I've been playing Phantasy Star IV ever since XD

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Spending $90 for 1/3 of a game cannot be justified. $200 for PDS? You ARE crazy! =)

Oh yes they are! I'm glad I purchased them, although I've come to release that some of these old games featured poor control and hit detection. I played Alex the Kidd and boy was that a painful experience!

I just wished the PSP version came with Zaxxon...

Whoo! Thank God for deals at Gamestop. Finally managed to get some games out of the Buy Two, Get One free deal there.

Rayman: Raving Rabbids (Wii) - Fun game, just got started on it. Those rabbids are quite amusing.

Metal Slug Anthology (Wii) - Depending how much I like the game, I'll keep it. So far, I like what I see.

Rogue Galaxy (PS2) - Haven't tried it yet, but I have high hopes for it.

Oh, I also bought a cooling fan stand for my Wii. It isn't exactly cooling my Wii, but it looks pretty damn cool.

Bought a shitload of games since I got here, some that never had an English release, or others that I never bothered to get before. Most of them were ridiculously cheap, since I haven't bought any of the latest games, although Persona 3 Fez is waiting for me.

Tales of Symphonia (a port of the Gamecube game), Rebirth (never released in the US), and the PS2 remake from Tales of Destiny 2, also never released outside of Japan I think.

Ar Tornelico, just because it was ridiculously cheap, which is also why I bought Grandia Xtreme (and because I heard that this one has awesome gameplay. Berwick Saga is often called a Fire Emblem Clone, but it looked quite interesting.

Dawn of Mana, just because it looks pretty, and Devil Summoner, because I'm a whore for anything Atlus.

Front Mission 2 and FM Alternative (not really sure what kind of game this is, but hey, FM!), and the two Suikogaiden games, text adventures dealing with some well known characters that will probably take me ages to get through.

Ah, you picked up some good Tales games (Rebirth and Destiny 2, not the Symphonia port). That Tales of Destiny 2 you picked up is the real Tales of Destiny 2, which ties into the first. Speaking on which, you should try to pick up the Tales of Destiny remake. It won't be as cheap, but it should've dropped in price by now.

The Suikogaidens are boring as hell, but you might get a kick out of them. AND BERWICK MOTHERFUCKING SAGA. Excellent choice.

Picked up quite a few goodies yesterday, so I have some games on the backburner and ready to occupy any leftover time I may have!

Wii Play is plenty of fun for its value. The controller that came with it probably costs about... 70% of the total amount? Anyway, the game is very short and isn't keeping my attention as much as Wii Sports did. I'll try getting the gold medals on each of the modes as soon as I have less games I want to try out.

Planet Puzzle League is stellar. It has plenty of modes that weren't previously available in Tetris Attack, and the computer's AI doesn't pin itself into a corner very easily. I'm already addicted to the game, but I fear that, outside of WiFi, it isn't going to hold my attention for very long. I already went through most of the modes with a fairly high score in a span of six hours.

Mario Party 8 isn't as bad as most reviewers made it out to be. The game doesn't break any new ground by any means, but the game's still enjoyable. Having multiple people around makes the game much better since the CPU's AI is far from challenging, even on Hard.

I also reserved Pokemon Battle Revolution while I was at GameStop. Hopefully, the Wii's WiFi is put to good use for this game.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

If you like Grandia Xtreme I think that'll make us the only two people on the forums that do. It's totally one of my favorite RPGs for the PS2 because it's entirely battles with hardly any boring plot (unfortunately, there still is a little bit of one). Be sure to take the character that can steal, that's how you get the best equipment all throughout the game.

Since my last post was lame and a no-no by the thread rules (I apologize for that, my mistake) I'm gonna try again:

Valkyrie Profile 2 Silmeria: I bought VP Lenneth a few months ago and it was a pretty sweet experience so I naturally wanted more, picked this up and I've been playing it lately. It's different from Lenneth but I welcome the changes with open arms. So far so good.

Xenosaga Episode II & III: I bought Episode I when it first came out but I never could bring myself to finish it, then when Episode III came out I heard quite a lot of good comments/reviews about it, saw a good deal for both games so I thought: "why not?". I plan to do a marathon I>II>III once I finish Silmeria.

Dragon Quest VIII: I've always wanted to play the Dragon Quest series, I found a good deal for DQVIII, bought it right away. Planning to do hopefully a marathon just like Xenosaga (once I finish that first that is).

Imported Gundam Musou, or better known here as Dynasty Warriors: Gundam (NA version due at the end of August). It's pretty fun, as the title suggests it's Dynasty Warriors with Gundams. Heh, played Wing Zero, and pretty cool they play a remixed instrumental version of "Just Communication" (the series, Gundam Wing, theme song by Two-Mix) as well as score piece from the show's OST. Also, he can transform into flight mode too, kinda like the horse of the game. Probably the best Gundam game ever! Unfortunately the cast is not as large as it could have been (a lot smaller than the DW series), though I'm sure it'll substantially increase with each of the series' sequels. Highly suggested for those that like Gundam and the DW hack/slash style of play.

I spent almost an entire lunch break picking through the rubbish bin at an EB, the half the marked price of already heaviliy reduced 'nobody wants this shit' bin.

I was pretty surprised to find Darwin, I didn't know it actually existed! I haven't seen any of Essential Games other stuff around. It's a decent Pikmin clone. Should be getting an American release (later this month?) under the name Adventures of Darwin.

MaXXed Out Racing (ugh) = Simple 2000 ULTIMATE Vol. 3. One of the funniest games I've played in ages thanks to the English dub and the fact that you can place Hello Kitty stickers on your pretty pink car. MAXXED OUT!

Splatter Master = Simple 2000 Vol. 64. Haven't played this one yet, but videos on the Tube of You give the impression that it's a blood spewing side scrolling beat 'em up. ..With chainsaws! Should be amusing!

I also found a copy of NiGHTS (not at EB).

To replace the dodgy copy I bought like five years ago that has an army of scratches on the disc that make the levels spaz out at random.

I mostly bought the Suikogaiden games BECAUSE they are text adventures, so I can use them as an excuse to keep up with my Japanese. I am really surprised that there is so little info on Berwick Saga outside of Japan. From the bit that I've played, it's an excellent game, and I just don't understand why they not gave a game like this a chance in the US.

I always liked the Grandia games for their simply AWESOME gameplay, the stories where filled with cliches, and even though you could like the cast, I doubt that the games would have become such classics if they had a different battle system. I was really hyped for Xtreme, since I heard that the story is barely noticable and basically one huge battlefield, and since they didn't release it in Europe, I had to wait so long to get it here (ridiculously cheap though).

It's one of Enk's favorites, actually.

Incidentally, I loved Dragon Quarter, but don't like Grandia Extreme at all. I recommended it because you wanted an RPG with fun battles, not necessarily because you liked Extreme =P

I love Grandia 1 for the lovable characters and a sweeping storyline filled with adventure, not the battle system. That was only a (fun) means to an end for me.

Same way Dragon Quarter's story was minimal, but the atmosphere was extremely strong, so again the great battle system was a bonus for me, rather than the point.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Genji: Dawn of the Samurai

Also, looks like I'll be getting Advance Wars: Dual Strike soon thanks to RockgamerXIII

Recently bought yet another PS2 and NDS versions of Robocod for my collection, the differences betwen these and the two i already have is that the PS2 release is now distributed by "System 3"... wich is strange since "Play It" is System 3's budget label... maybe they decided to abandon Play It and use only System 3 from now on?
The NDS release is having a "new" boxartwork, it used to have a "snow/ice" theme but now it has the same artwork as the PS2 version... i guess it is more season neutral.

Here is a pic showing the realeases side by side:

I have also got a IREM M62 lot containing Spartan X (complete pcb set), Spelunker (pcb conversion kit), Lode Runner 2 romboards (not complete for conversion).
I have already converted Spartan X to Spelunker as can be seen on the following pic

Dragon Quarter is just pure <3 <3. The battle system is simple, but one of the best ones in the series, and that alone is reason enough to play the game to infinity, but the entire package (atmosphere, graphical style, music) just makes it one of the most perfect games I ever played (and want to play again now ;_

Most of the games I buy for the story, but lately that has taken a step back and I focus more on gameplay and fun battles now (SMT games, Romancing Saga, etc), since a lot of the recent stories are just rehashes of rehashes that were based on cliches anyway.

Yeah, they started dropping the Play It name late last year when the likes of Super Fruit Fall and Pinball Hall of Fame got re-released. Your James Pond collection still brings such a smile to my face. Did you hear Codemasters is planning to release the DS version in America? There's another one for you!
