USB Wireless remote, question.

Yes, I'm lazy, but still since I can afford it why not? I want to but a wireless remote for my laptop, so I will be able to play my music from bed without getting up ;p I found a couple of remotes, most of them offer the same stuff, bunch of hotkeys without any option to assign your own functions whatsoever, plug and play without any drivers. My question is simple. Is there any software to edit the behavior of multimedia hotkeys on which those remotes work, so for example if I play "home" button on the remote a desired playlist will be opened and so on.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

When I bought a remote to mess around with ages ago I found a program that allowed you to make the buttons do pretty much whatever you wanted.
I think it was Girder, although I'll have to check my spare computer later to make sure.
