I disagree with that comment on nu-metal, because I feel that their vocalist at least gives a genuine feeling of fury and anger, where as most nu-metal vocalists are pretty whiney and talk about 'hate' [aka Jon Davis] but not in a real sense, but just to get a shock feel for it. I mean, I know some of their songs are nu-metal esque, but I don't think nu-metal is bad...if done right.
Not going to argue this because Cyrus is right, but there's a reason they toured with a largely nu-metal show.

Personally, I thought that one Japanese band MUCC...should have been at Family Values. I think they would have been perfect. I would have liked to see tour with the Taste of Chaos bands. Perhaps they will in the future. Hehehe.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Can someone recommend me some j-metal bands? Similar like Rhapsody, Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius. I've listened few bands that have been listed in this thread, but I must've had bad luck because I haven't liked any of them, or I just have picked up the wrong songs. Album suggestions would be nice too, if I had started listening Stratovarius from their newest album, I'd probably would have rejected it straight away.

So cheesy power metal? Wizards' Hymn [Hymnal] and Concerto Moon [Rain Forest, After the Double Cross]

I was speaking idiomatically.

Galneryus' 'Advance To The Fall' is PERFECT if you're into the Power Metal.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Oh, yeah, forgot to mention that I've found Galneryus already. Just the kind of music I like. But I'll try Vampiro's suggestions, thanks!

Konami Kukeiha Club are a lot more hard rock than metal *shrugs*
Probably. But they sure as hell are more metal than Dir En Grey, Moi dix Mois or other Japanese poodle rock bands... *shudders*

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I used to follow Moi dix Mois releases with mild interest due to the intriguing last album of the founder's previous band, Malice Mizer. The latter was more of a gothic project though and while the occasional heavy song by them turned out rather well, it was still a different ball game. Suffice to say that by now I'm less than impressed by the generic, tired mess that is Moi dix Mois.

I'd also like to put forward Fairy Mirror here.
