The
Freeloader doesn't work on the PAL Wii. The Freeloader does, however, work perfectly fine on the
american Wii. We'll have to wait until they make a freeloader capable of playing foreign games for it here, before I can start playing my american games.
I'd love it if we changed to NTSC but it ain't gonna happen. It just isn't. For one, the console's region locked, as is every console except for the PS3 which is
still going to be annoying because it's region locked for PS1 and PS2 games. So you basically have a wonderful next generation console where you're able to play overseas PS3 titles, but none of their previous generation foreign titles. It's fucked.
Speaking of the VC, PAL gets screwed again. Sure, we're getting games earlier, but you know what?
They're in 50Hz and the original PAL games. We aren't going to see Chrono Trigger or Earthbound (although we'll get Terranigma, but it doesn't fill the Earthbound void) ever. And unless they add an option for 60Hz, which isn't just as simple as "Oh ok, let's just upscale a game to 60Hz", we're stuck like this forever.
Sorry to go on like this, but I think you can see my point. Avoid the PAL regions at all costs when it comes to gaming.
