Ok, so like just completed the Goliath and Roblon Hunts, they were ridiculously easy. While in the nechrol of nabudis on the way back i managed 2 slay 6 oversouls which eventually spawned a Hevenik or whatever its called, he was harder than Roblon and Goliath =| However i still beat him and he dropped a magic lamp. Anyone know what i can use it for? And where in Ivalice can i look around in and find weapons such as Excalibur or Ultima Blades or just really good armour.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The Excalibur can be found in the upper map of the Great Crystal In Giruvegan, sometimes hard to get it to spawn though. The Ultima Blade you either have to make it through the Bazzar (2 Admantite, 2 Death Powder, 1Gnoma Halcyon) or there is one that I found in the Pharros Subterra on the Umbra level. For Armor the best place to go would be the Baknamy shop in the Necrohol.

Does anyone have a tip as to how to make the Mythrill Golems drop the Aquarius Gem, or the Feywood Golem's for that matter. Been trying forever and still only have one Gem to show for my efforts.

For your convenience, here's FFXII's gamefaqs page, Jimmy Choo (complete with maps towards the bottom and rare game guides).

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/459841.html

Refer tp Sephirosuy's Crystal Grande Upper Layer map, the Excalibur is the 2nd treasure from the right on map 2. The Zodiac Escutcheon is behind Taurus II, and Omega is behind Taurus I.

Actually, steal from them with the Thief's Cuffs before you kill them since you can get the gems that way too. You essentially double your chances of nabbing the required gems.

Wow, missed 10 pages of replies after being sick this whole last week.

All the FFXII loot and where to find it is here. (scroll down about 60-70%)

Congrats Metal, on your Order of Ambrosia - I don't have the patience or will power to accomplish that.

Soldier, where is this secret shop in the Nab Deadlands? I haven't uncovered it yet. By the way, just keep hunting the golems in the Feywood and they'll drop Aquarius Gems eventually. While you're hunting them, go kill some Cerberuses so that they can drop some Hell Gate's Flames.

2 Hell Gate's Flames + 2 Damascus Steels = 1 Gemsteel (one of 3 things needed for the Tournesol).

I currently stopped playing my game because I went through the 3 of 3 mini bosses at Pharaos. Saved at the 64F, but there's a pillar gate in the middle (looks like one of those wedding altars) thats inaccessible. The map shows a bunch of gears on the previous floors, but I'm still unsure what I need to do to get to the next floor. Gosh, its so inconvenient that you make it halfway through an area, and then there's no clues given for the next task.

Oh yeah - Okami? Never heard it. Post a link to the game's site so I can look it over. Thanx!

The gamefaqs link takes him to bazaar guides, sephirosuy's guide, maps, that very same loot guide. Pretty much all he'll need. I alternated between Seph's and Shotgunnova's rare game lists because they complimented each other well.

The secret shop in the Necrohol of Nabudis is on the first map from the Salikawood entrance. Follow the long passage to the dead end with the Pandora enemy acting like a treasure chest (it's rainbow-colored), and examine to the corner to the left of the enemy. He sells Maximiliian armor, Demon Shields, Ethers, the Telekinesis technick and Scathe.

Well, I didn't actively seek out the rank. I simply did everything the game presented to me, and by the time I reached the end I only needed a little more to get the rank, so I just topped it off. He should do things one at a time, as HGFs take a while to gather. Oh, and he should steal them, then kill them. Better chances, but of course he should use the Thief's Cuffs.

2 Hell Gate's Flames + 2 Damascus Steels = 1 Gemsteel (one of 3 things needed for the Tournesol).

Do they have crystals on top of them, and they have names? Those are altars that you touch that make you give up something. I believe the four are:
  • Attack
  • Magic
  • Items
  • Mini-map

I took the mini-map one because it's the one that you can still manage easily without. It's the light purple gem in the southwest part of the circle.

I took the Altar of Wealth (items).
Currently at the save point at Pharaos 2nd Ascent: Reach of the Damned (64F).
That altar in the middle is the "Dais of Ascendence", but can't get on it because Nothing Happens. This chamber appears to be affecting the Dais.

The next level up is Pharos 2nd Ascent: The Bounds of Truth (65F). This is where I defeated Fenrir, the white tiger-humanoid (after beating Pandaemonium, the solid rock tortoise and Slyt, the scaled fish on the previous levels).

So I'm not exactly sure what my next action has to be to ascend past floor 65.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I distinctly remember there being another waystone somewhere. After selecting what you want to give up, you go up the floors with that handicap in place, and I think somewhere along the line, you have to call the stone back? You may want to check someone like shotgunnova's guide, since there may be a step you missed.

Well I think I did my fair share of FFXII work today.

1) Took care of that stupid crystal bug - actually it was easy this time

2) Took care of our golem friend Rob - his boney friends were very demanding, and those took some time to take care off. Be careful where you tread.

3) Took care of our other golem friend Goliath. He was, again, easy this time around. Shell works wonders. I like how I totally neglected that spell and really only focused on protect - regen - haste - libra - other good stuff. Yeah setting up Shell in my gambits was kinda nice. Stupid piece of clay never saw it coming.

4) Attained the rank of "Knights of the Round".

And that's that.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

This confused me, too. Basically, you need to return the crystal you chose before (Wealth, in your case) back to its pedestal thing. The elevator -- I mean, the Dais of Ascendence will operate once all four of those crystals are on their pedestals and there are no restrictions on your party. It's one of those so-obvious-it's-impossible things.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Wow, it worked. Heh. When I did reach that floor I took out a different crystal before I made it to the Dais and wondered what the hell was wrong with it. Thanks for the help.

I recently beat the game, it's a nice game a bit too easy tho, and different compared to the other FF games. The storyline sort of disapointed me, not that much tho. There was no sudden change in the plot like the other FF games. Still a great game, and the battle system was great, it's what actually kept me going on playing the game.

If you can keep your main attacker decoy'd and reversed, always, it is easy. But if decoy wears off for more than a second or two, and one of your party members dies, you will have to run away and revive them.

How ya doing, buddy?

Wow, that's not even worth it. Reverse lasts for about 15 seconds even in the best of conditions, and the constant stopping to reverse + lure would take time away from Curaja. I'd say just make sure you're suitably equipped, set your gambits accordingly to make a nice net, and have at it.

Eventually he gets to the point where using the reverse+lure is too slow and he fires too fast, essentially making buffing a liability.

Yes, I took him all in one go. No dashing off or anything.

Edit: Oh, and his random Berserk status effect on his beam sounds like a benefit, but you need to have all your folks using your gambit setups, so have that dispelled ASAP.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Simply setting the right gambits and attacking didn't work for me. Even at level 99 and with all buffs and the best armor, he was still hitting for around 5000-7000 points each time, far too much to heal; I would have been in a constant curing loop. Even my highest HP character equipped with a bubble belt could only take three or four hits at the most.

Curaja shouldn't be needed if Omega is only attacking the person who is the decoy. If that person can be re-reversed before he runs out of HP, then Omega will be healing him constantly. I had both of my other characters with reverse and decoy gambits for my party leader to be extra sure that neither of the buffs wore off. Once I had the chain started, I killed Omega easily. The dashing off was before I figured everything out properly. This way my main attacker rarely took damage, and my other attackers stopped only occasionally to rebuff him.

In this case, the berserk status was beneficial, because the main attacker did more damage that way.

Also, if you do go and fight Omega, don't make the same mistake I did.

Be SURE to pick up the Omega badge before leaving the area!

Omega was doing 7k to my characters whenever Protectga came down, and that was when he was HP critical. If you stagger and setup the gambits right (God I wish I had written them down), everybody is essentially going to be be all healed up constantly.

Even if he focused on one person, that would just cause the gambit to hit everyone twice, making them temporarily "immune" to his attack due to the double healing.

Quote:

Reverse and Decoy miss far too often, IMO. That requires the magic accuracy accessory to improve that, because normally Reverse will miss... and miss... and miss. Decoy? Not so much, but the last thing you want is having your characters stop to keep trying a spell that only lasts for 15 seconds (knocking someone out of comission constantly) and misses. The benefits simply aren't there in a fight where simple damage negation via Curaja makes it a cakewalk.

Quote:

In this case? It would, but due to the setup, one of the Reverse/Decoy folks is going to get berserked and you run the possibilty of having to stop and Dispelga both to get control again.

While I agree that it does work, it's far more likely to get thrown out of whack if he gets lucky with double berserk on the right people, speeds up and focuses on the reverser before the spell can actually connect and before Decoy is in place.

Eesh, even though you mentioned this way back, it still gets a "...damn" out of me. I'd be positively livid if that had happened to me. All that for essentially, nothing.

I've just got to the christal, during the story. Must i come here later, or can i get it now? If so, how?

And what is the room where Negalmur (for auto-leveling) spawns?

I've cleared all the room "ward of the sword king", and then i move from the room with the save christal, to the ward of the sword king to see if negalmur has spawned (i always go near the statue, as the guide says he spawns therE). Then, since he hasn't respawned, i go back to the save room and i repeat the process. I've wasted half an hour but he didn't spawn. Can somebody give me a hint on how to make him spawn?

Ah, and how do i get the zodiac spear? I haven't opened any of those chests.

They're weak to ice damage, which I'm trying to capitalize as much on my blizzaga spells, since it seems to do decent damage (around 2000) to them. However, they are MUCH stronger (11,000 HP) than their Deadlands cousins with only like half that amount. I need to know if there are any save crystals in the Necherol area, as it'd be a pain to keep tracking back to where I fought that red crystal bug in the deadlands.

How is the deathscythe hunt (level VI) in the vacinity? I've already taken down three rank VI hunts so I probably know what I'm up against.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
