I'm getting in here right proper swift like, and planting this link to DJ Daz with his song for the UK, as an early seed that will have time to grow and flourish in your brain from now until Eurovision. By the time May 20 comes around it'll seem like there was never even an option not to vote UK.

God bless eurovision and the blatent tactical voting that goes on year after year. My main man, good old Terry Wogan can predict the results of key countries a mile off! it's hilarious!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

You can be sure that we'll not win it this tme either. We already stooped to the level of allowing page 3 girl Jordan get close to being our entrant last year >_<. I watch it to see the clips of the host country inbetween songs, or admire just how much clothing the entrants are willing to shed in order to cock-tease the judges into voting for them.

Well our man performs his song with 4 girls dressed in school uniforms, so I wouldn't write us off just yet.

Yeah, well, I guess we can all expect the same procedure again: All east european countries will vote for each other again; so I'm not exactly sure whether it will be interesting (more liek' no) or not. Let's see

I'm finding the UK a worrying place at the moment....

The same weekend Gary 'Kid Fiddler' Glitter gets put away for child molestation, the public vote for some dodgy middle-aged geezer with a load of teenage school girl backing singers. Not only that but Chico 'slight undertones of Michael Jackson' gets into number 1 in the charts.

Pity vote is all I can say. The song that DJ Daz has if fucking painful to listen to.

It will not.
It is exactly like you said.
The east block will vote for each other, the west will vote for whoever (escept Germany, swiss and austria will give each other mediocre to good votes) and once again some east block country wins.

With the UK having possibly the worst act in years how can we fail to win (oh well, apart from the fact that tactical voting by certain countries never goes our way because they all hate us). Bring it on.

DJ Daz is fucking terrible but it is the kind of shit that gets voted for at Eurovision, I reckon we've got a chance this year.

I love how everyone in England puts down Eurovision yet almost every British member here has posted in this thread already, we secretly all love it.

Also, why the new name, sin?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Lordi ftw.

I think they should better be dealing a controversy award too this year.

Didn't like the old name.

I know what you mean about DJ Daz. A shit song is not necessarily a shit Eurovision song. It has something anthemic to it which might catch on.

Eurovision is great why lie.

The BBC site has snippets of all the songs England could have had...

Not technically Eurovision but still Euro-tastic!

This year: Kate Ryan...
Personally I don't like neither the woman, neither the song...

But it's normal it's for the eurosong festival and I don't remember ever have liked any of our songs...

Anyway, it'll be fun and the party at gfchat is a super-idea, I'll be there ^_-

Only the 16 or 18 best countries from the last Eurovision are allowed to participate. Plus those four countries that pay the most money including shitty countries like Germany and the UK.

How ya doing, buddy?

Poked around the official site, and now I'm listening to some of the samples. Some of these entries are quite hilarious! Moldova's song in particular does not make any sense considering the region. I didn't even know Belarus could enter.

But why aren't there any good songs? The closest I ever got to liking one was for Bulgaria and France, and even then I'm not sure based on the samples.

Well yeah; but Iran is allowed to participate in the Football Worldcup as well. Can't blame the people for their government, I guess.
